On August 9, we held our fall Job Fair at the Grovetown Exhibition Center. We had 168 job applicants come through to talk to 14 of our departments that were set up at tables. We had a great crop of potential employees visit with us, so thank you to all of our job fair recruiters! Shown on the next few pages are pictures of the event.

JOB FAIR

It’s that time of the year to begin preparing for our Annual Appraisal process.

Annual Employee Performance Appraisals are scheduled to be conducted between October 1-31, 2023 These appraisals will cover the review period from October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023.

All Board of Commissioner employee appraisals must be completed in Performance Pro by October 31, 2023

All Board of Commissioners Division Directors, Division Deputy Directors, Managers and Supervisors responsible for conducting appraisals are required to attend one of the two mandatory training sessions It is up to each Elected Official as to whether or not their employees participate.

To prepare for this process, mandatory Appraiser Training will be held in the Jabez Hardin Auditorium located at the Evans Library on the following two dates:

Session I: Wednesday, September 20, 2023, 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm OR

Session II: Thursday, September 21, 2023, 9:00 am – 10:00 am

Please bring your cell phone to the training so that you can register your attendance before leaving the meeting

Employees who are unable to attend due to work related conflicts, illness or personal leave, may contact HR for instructions to view a recorded version of the training after it is posted If you have difficulty registering, need to change your training date or have questions, please call Martha Bartles at 706 312 7375 or email mbartles@columbiacountyga.gov.

Employees who are new supervisors or those interested in a refresher course may participate in a Performance Pro computer training session. The training will be held in the Building B computer lab across from HR. If you have any questions about this training, contact Amy Whitfield at awhitfield@columbiacountyga gov for dates/times
