Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep and sideglancing googly eyes, painted lashes, single-stroke brows, pug nose, closed mouth with wide smile, brunette mohair wig, composition five piece toddler body, painted shoes and socks. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: A 253 M Nobbi Kid Reg, US Pat, Off Germany 10/0. Comments: Marseille, circa 1920. 343. German All-Bisque Kewpie Thinker 6” (15 cm.) One-piece all-bisque figure of seated Kewpie, his knees drawn up and his head resting on hands, in the manner of Rodin’s famous stature, “The Thinker” upon which it was based. Kewpie has classic topknot, forelock, blue wings and side-glancing googly eyes. Incised O’Neill on feet and with original heart paper label on back. Germany, circa 1915. $200/300
