Regis Rockers,

We are beyond excited for what promises to be an absolutely rockin’ Regis Auction & Gala this year! Welcome to “Regis Rocks: A Knight on the Red Carpet.” This event is one of our school’s most important fundraising events, and if I have learned anything over the past three years at Regis, it is that this community will come out in force to support our amazing school.

We have some fabulous items up for bids this evening, as well as an ambitious Paddles Up project. So whether you hope to leave with the vacation of a lifetime, Oasis tickets, or an adorable puppy (whom I hope is not “Bad to the Bone”), I encourage you to bid early, high, and often; while you’re ultimately buying these amazing items, experiences, and even animals, you’re really supporting The Regis Experience.

But beyond all of the bidding and money raised tonight, this is also an event that’s about Goal IV and building community, which is one of the things Regis does best. I hope you enjoy the evening and have an amazing time with one another. Whether you’re enjoying “One Bourbon, One Scotch, and One Beer,” a “Champagne Supernova,” or just “Dancing in the Dark” tonight, I hope it will be a memorable evening as we “Let the Good Times Roll.”

This year’s Paddles Up project is a bold one that will not only enhance the safety and security of the Regis campus, but also improve its overall aesthetic. The wrought iron fencing that surrounds the campus, especially along the campus’ Antoine and Westview frontages, has seen better days. At this point, the cost of repairing this fencing is no longer worth the additional lifespan such repairs would afford. An idea was born at a parent meeting earlier this year that took hold, which leads to this year’s bold project: a brick wall to surround the most exposed areas of the campus.

The plan is to extend a six-foot-high brick wall, with a course of stone to match the Kelley and SLC Buildings, from the carpool gate on Antoine Drive, around the corner, past the Westview carpool gate, and all the way to the semi-circular driveway on Whispering Pines. This wall would reduce the ability of passers-by to see our Regis Knights on the playground or the movement of Regis students, teachers, and other staff between our buildings. At the same time, a fresh brick wall would give the Regis campus an established, elevated, and refined look.

We are asking the Regis community to dig deep this year, as this is arguably the largest project ever attempted as a Paddles Up initiative. The total cost of the project is approximately $250,000, and such an effort would be impossible without philanthropic support beyond what the annual operational budget affords. Safe, sound, and stylish—isn’t that what our Regis Knights deserve?

Give your Regis Knight the opportunity to be the curator of content on campus with a fun day filled with social media-worthy moments with Ms. Lauren West, the Regis Director of Marketing & Communication. This lucky Regis Knight will get the chance to operate a DSLR camera, develop interviewing skills, and learn some post-production photo and video editing skills. Throughout the day, your son will put these skills to the test by directing a short video, with the assistance of Ms. West, that will be posted on the Regis’ official Instagram and Facebook pages.

Open to boys in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. A lunch of your son’s choice will be provided. The student may wear professional or dress clothing on their day and will receive an official Regis nametag.

We feel blessed to co-chair this year’s auction as our oldest finishes his Regis career. Regis is more than just a place of learning for our family! It has been a supportive community that nurtured our boys’ growth from tiny young people in Pre-K3 to young men ready to succeed in high school. We have gained meaningful, life-long family friends and will forever be grateful for our Regis school family!

• Couples are assigned one bidder number.

• Printed dates for special events, limitations on certificates, and expiration dates are clearly stated in the description of the item or on the gift certificate.

• Items may be picked up at auction check-out. All items must be picked up by 11:45 p.m. Regis is not responsible for items not picked up by 11:45 p.m.

• Cash, check, or credit card payments are accepted.

• If you are purchasing an item for a friend, payment may be split at checkout.

• Reservations for the use of homes and private parties, etc. must be arranged with the donors unless otherwise specified. Restrictions and expiration dates apply.

• Donated airline tickets may be subject to restrictions. Check certificates for related restrictions and blackout dates.

• Winning bidders are responsible for contacting donors to decide on mutually agreeable dates for items purchased.

BIG BOARD:

• Online bidding for Big Board opens at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025.

• To enter a bid, select “Items by Category” on your BidPal mobile phone/device.

• Online bidding for Big Board will close at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025.

• Big Board will reopen at 6:00 p.m. for in-person bidding on Saturday, April 12, 2025 and will close after Live Auction.

LIVE AUCTION:

• The Live Auction will begin at approximately 9:00 p.m. and will continue intermittently until all items are sold.

• To enter a bid, please raise your bid number on your paddle. Spotters will be stationed throughout the venue to acknowledge your bid. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In the event of a dispute, the auctioneer shall have sole and final discretion to determine the successful bidder or to resell the item in dispute.

• The Regis School of the Sacred Heart (Regis) reserves the right to reject any bid. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer will be the purchaser of the item being sold.

• All items are offered on an “as is” basis. All descriptions of the auction items are for the sole purpose of identifying the items, and Regis disclaims any express or implied warranties. In this auction, Regis transfers only the right, title and interest held by the donor of the auction item.

• The winning bidder holds harmless any claims against Regis or the donor of the item. Neither Regis nor the donor are responsible for personal injury or damage to the property that may occur from use of an item or service.

SILENT AUCTION:

• Silent Auction opens at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025.

• Silent Auction closes at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025; unless a time extension is announced.
