Bryson City, NC is a charming Smoky Mountain town that sits on the border of the nation’s most visited National Park, Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Over 9 million people visit this park annually. Its a huge number and big impact on the surrounding towns, like Bryson City. Bryson City offers its visitors two separate entrances into GSMNP. 1. Deep Creek, known for hiking, tubing, waterfalls and fishing, can be found via a short four mile drive outside of the downtown area. Deep Creek is also a great spot for a picnic with the family. If you want to stay for longer than a day, plan to camp at the Deep Creek Campground. 2. Lake View Drive, or The Road to Nowhere, can be found just under three miles from downtown.
