2020. It was uplifting to see some normality returning. The daring could even book a holiday to certain exotic locations, without self-isolating if they had been double jabbed!

However, let’s not fool ourselves. We know that covid has not disappeared, but because of the astonishing skill of the scientific community and our own collective willingness to sacrifice freedoms which we had previously taken for granted, we all hope that we are beginning to turn the tide against the virus.

Nonetheless, we are not complacent and it will not be business as usual at Salt Revive. We will retain covid sanitation measures, such as hand gel on entry and masks in the reception area. In addition, we now offer private appointments. After each therapy session we will continue to sanitise furniture in the salt rooms. It is worth mentioning that regardless of these measures, salt rooms are incredibly sterile enviroments because salt is an anti-microbial agent.

For those of you who are uninitiated, salt therapy is an age-old treatment. Salt has been used in a medical capacity for thousands of years due to its naturally anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties. It is also an antihistamine, an anti-inflammatory and a dehydrant.

You have probably gargled with salt for a sore throat or used in a bath to ease aching muscles – all forms of salt therapy.

Salt Revive’s journey stared in 2017 when we visited my brother in London. My asthmatic wife, Clare, was starting with a chest infection. My brother suggested that she visit their local salt therapy centre. He had used it previously to help with his asthma and it worked.

Anybody who knows my wife will tell you that she is not easily convinced. However, as she had nothing to lose, she went and was amazed by the results. Her symptoms dramatically reduced within 24 hours.

Clare admitted, “I was glad I took the advice because I was absolutely amazed at how much better I felt following the treatment. I have not suffered with one chest infection since I discovered salt therapy, which for someone who used to have several a year is amazing! BSW Timber Solutions and Bayram Ltd under new ownership!

Bayram Timber Ltd, a market-leading supplier of timber products into the UK caravan sector, and BSW Timber Solutions (formerly known as SCA Wood), a leading timber manufacturer and distributer to the DIY and Builders Merchant markets, have both recently been sold to the BSW Group.
