An Open Letter of an Unfortunate Bliss

My Name is Daffy

My Name is Daffy

My love;

You gracefully danced with me last night

Those pair of hands, gently clasped in mine

How old should you be by now?

All dressed for summer; our bare feet on the grass

Off we go to a picture-perfect place, I love to call it ours

May God pardon me for some visiting hours

Once again, make me feel the joy, innocence and the familiar touch

To cradle you safely back into my arms

How long has it been, my child?

I blame myself for having lost count

Some days I feel the immense amount of rage

I scream, I weep, I hardly clench my fists

The sound of your voice, I take deep breaths

Dreams with you in it are all that is left

I should hurry and close my eyes now, I cannot afford to be late

Broken bottles and empty halls

White ceilings, I crawl in an indefinite blur

Repainted walls and spacious halls

Countless nights of regrets, I go back and forth

Days turned into months of full reverse

I live for the moments we get to meet

In a distant memory, a dream I could live

Your memories, engraved in my heart for eons and back

Oh, the heavens must have loved you so much,

For a lifetime with me on this earth, to not be within your grasp
