Camp Phoenix introduced local girls ages 14-17 to an immersive firefighting experience July 13-17. The County of Brant Fire Department hosted the inaugural camp which aimed to inspire more women to enter the industry. Pictured above, in no particular order, are Sadie Oliver, Evelynn Hodge, Cara Carver and Kyra Ulmand as they practiced hose advances during a demonstration at last Sunday’s wrap-up event at the Cainsville Fire Station.
