Meet the Brantford Bisons’ Inaugural Women’s Tackle Football team

Women’s tackle football debuted in Brantford last Saturday. The Bison football organization hosted an exhibition game against the Peel Panthers Women Under 16 team. The opponents, who play in the Ontario Women’s Football league (OWFL) in the spring, obviously were more experienced than the home team, who showed a marked improvement of play as the controlled scrimmage went along. In the end, the young Bison ladies had a great time debuting the sport for women. Currently the OWFL has two divisions: Under 16 and Under 19. If tackle football interests you and you’d like to learn more, contact the Brantford Bisons online.

If you want to support some Paris athletes, watch for Jennifer Snow in the Women’s Pro 40+ division, Mark Ciszek, in the Mixed Pro 50+ division, Brian Tucker in the Mixed Amateur 70+ and Brooklyn O’Krafka in the Girls’ Junior division Good luck to all competitors.
