Greeting ghouls and goblins! You might be accustomed to joining me on a journey through the world of craft beers and local brews, but this time, we're venturing into the ghostly and ghoulish realm of Halloween. It's my favourite "holiday", a time when the ordinary takes a haunting turn and yards transform into eerie wonderlands Today, we're diving into the world of both festively wonderful and spine chilling yard displays and uncovering the secrets of the South Ward Scare map, all while raising a glass to a couple of Halloween inspired brews. So, grab your lantern, and let's explore the spectral sights, sips, and sensations that make Halloween so uniquely delightful!

Introducing the South Ward Scare Map:

South end of Paris, just south of Dundas St and west of the bridge, was once known as the South Ward and with the help of some festive neighbours it is now a chilling wonderland, with houses decorated more and more each year. Whether you're new to the neighbourhood or a seasoned resident, it's time to delve into the spectral sights and sounds of Halloween in Paris, Ontario. Just as Waterford does Pumpkin fest and Elora does Monster Month I am hoping to create something similar

Have you heard of the South Ward Scare map? If you're new to town or a longtime resident, it's your ultimate guide to the spirited and decorated houses in the south end. I've put together a virtual map of the "South Ward" region, allowing you to embark on a hair raising drive-thru or a leisurely walk through our neighbourhood to enjoy all the hard work and creativity the neighbourhood has put into this Halloween season. The map can be viewed on your phone and added it to your phone's map app Just follow the link, and you're one step closer to a night filled with thrills and chills!

A Halloween Walk to Remember

A spirited stroll, through the streets of South Ward is a great activity for families, individuals or kids and though it looks great in the daytime it truly comes alive at night.

The local crew at Big Cityyy Arts, who specializes in bold and brilliant entertainment and educational events, will be our contest judges on Halloween night, scouring the South Ward for the most festive, the scariest, and the most creepy clown houses in the neighbourhood. Photos provided by Tiffany moved here 6 Halloweens ago I grew up surrounded by Halloween spirit, creating my own costumes, carving dozens pf pumpkins with my dad and decorating the house with my mom. A lot goes into the yard each year and themes shift every couple of years. I was so thrilled to finally move to a larger yard and this vision of creating a map and neighbourhood for all to enjoy has been a long-time dream. Each year I am hoping to grow this, the contest and eventually offer an event or two in the area I thank all of you, especially the neighbours, for putting up with my display and love for the season.
