**The Masjid Bilal & Community Centre in Paris is just one of many Muslim based centres worldwide that recognize Ramadan as the nineth and most sacred month in the Islamic calendar. Members of the Community Centre sent 30 boxes of Popeyes Chicken to neighbouring homes to share Ramadan within the community.

**It was a busy month for new businesses! Mayor David Bailey welcomed La Trenza Tacos, MacButters Bake Shop, and The Rustic Palm to Paris.

**The Paris Curling Club was pleased to announce the return of the Paris Inter-City league following the pandemic The league celebrated its 55th Year of Active Curling and the Presentation of the Ruth Hutchinson Trophy once again.

**Lorne Reid was the recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow recognition award, presented by the Rotary Satellite Club of Paris during the Maple Syrup Festival. Lorne has spent more than 40 years serving the community and doing whatever he can to make Paris a better place to live

**The County of Brant unveils a multi-year reconstruction project for Grand River Street North to start in 2023. The first phase of the project was the construction of a gravity trunk sanitary sewer from the existing Grand River Street North Sewage Pumping Station on GRSN, south of Trillium Way north to Hartley Avenue (the north to Harley Avenue will begin in the New Year).

**Bite of Brant program volunteers welcomed over a thousand Grade 4 and 5 students from across Brantford, Brant County and Six Nations to the Burford Fairgrounds April 12&13th for the annual program that highlights the agri-food industry Over 125 volunteers, representing a variety of sectors –dairy, beef, corn, wheat and soybeans plus much more – taught lessons in agricultural awareness Some volunteers are third generation volunteers, including five people who have been with the program since its inception in 1996.
