**County of Brant Public Library offers older adults the opportunity to stay mentally active and experience virtual reality (VR) in a fun and safe environment. Offering programs like Introduction to Virtual Reality and Armchair Travel, this interactive series makes the technology more accessible to seniors.
**Go Fund Me Campaign launched to help owners of Scott’s Family Restaurant during tragic time. Scott Dammeier was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and the entire community pulls together to help raise funds to get the couple through a very difficult time The Fire Fighters Club hosted a Touch A Truck event that also raised more than $10,000 in a few short hours. Scott passed away June 29th after a valiant battle with cancer.

**The Paris Curling Club hosted the 6th edition of the P'AYR'IS Cup. The two-day competition pits Paris members against their friends at the Ayr Curling Club Paris reclaimed the title, and in their own house to boot!

**The County of Brant announces it will host the Ontario Small Urban Municipalities Conference (OSUM) from April 26 - 28, 2023
“The OSUM Conference will welcome close to 250 municipal leaders from across Ontario to examine and address today’s important issues facing small urban municipalities,” said Mayor David Bailey. “Hosting the event, here in Brant, is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the County, network with other small urban municipalities and learn from each other”
**The Grand Erie District School Board (GEDSB) starts reviewing its school boundaries in the wake of major population growth in this region. This review affects students in all the public schools in Paris –Cobblestone Elementary, North Ward, Paris Central and Paris District High School, as well as Glen Morris Central Public School.
**County of Brant Library staff, the new main branch library steering committee and representatives from DPAI Architects & SZA Architects unveil the new design for the New Library to be constructed at the Bawcutt Centre, which incorporates the heritage of the Old Town Hall with a sleek, modern addition.
**The First Responders Polar Plunge raises $4,171 for the Special Olympics. The Brant County OPP, Brantford Police Service, County of Brant Fire Department, along with area residents, braved the cold.
