Our sponsors help us cover ice costs, keep first aid kits updated, purchase new equipment for our equipment loan program, cover coaching courses for new and existing coaches, and most importantly, it helps keep registration fees low for families,” said Boehmer.

Canadian Tire Paris’ sponsorship enabled PRA to purchase a new set of Teal jerseys for the U16B team. The BTC Group sponsorship bought the 19A team with personal jerseys as well as hoodies for the bench staff The U14B and U12B teams had generous sponsors, who wished to remain anonymous, purchase hoodies and pants for all of the players, and hoodies for their bench staff.

This year, PRA has 27 sponsors (see the complete list in the box below) With the season at the halfway mark and teams preparing for ranking tournaments to qualify for provincials, the association is also very busy preparing to host its annual PRA Tournament, which takes place February 15-18th.This year Paris will host 50 teams over the Family Day weekend, drawing over 1,400 people to Brant County. It’s the association’s biggest fundraiser of the season; it helps keep registration fees down for PRA families, but it also brings lots of extra revenue to local businesses (hospitality industry for example) “We host silent auctions, 50/50 draws, candy tables, toonie toss and tons of raffles. All of these would not be doable without our volunteers and donated items,” said Boehmer.
