The pregame festivities for last Saturday’s game between the Titans and Tavistock Braves, had the Sacred Heart School choir sing the national anthem, a nice change over a recorded version.

Ryan Burroughs started the game in net and gave a good performance. The first period was pretty much even with the opponents, except that the Titans didn’t take advantage of their power play advantage and Tavistock did. At the end of the 1st period Tavistock 1 Titans 0.

In the second period, a Titans tripping penalty was called on a Tavistock player who was one on one on goalie Burroughs, that the referee deemed that a penalty shot was earned. The Tavistock player scored on the penalty shot for Tavistock lead of 2-0 which was the score at the end of two periods.

At the 13:49 mark of the third period, the Titans had a power play, but were only able to get two shots on the Tavi goalie. The Titans Christian Campanelli his then scored off a pass from Alex Foster to make the score 2-1.

Five minutes later Paris scored again to tie the score at 2 off the stick of Alex Foster and assisted by Thomas Lonsdale and Jack Moffatt. The Titans gave their best effort in trying to break the tie, however with 1:24 Tavistock scored the tie breaker and won the game 32.
