Lake Home Values

The Racolta Lake Home | Lake Wawasee

Joe + Angie Racolta

The home is built on a hill, with three stories, each with a balcony or walkout.

“Our home is on a 50-square-foot lot and it's maintenance-free,” Angie said. “The entire property is landscaped and hardscaped, so there's no grass to mow.”

Lake home values don’t always refer to dollars.

Just ask Angie Racolta, owner of the real estate team The RGroup Real Estate, Keller Williams Thrive.

Yes, to fully define lake home values, it involves more than dollars; it’s loving this lifestyle. It’s being pulled to water views. It’s making the most of each day. It’s loving who you’re with, setting goals + taking the steps—however wayward or scary they may seem— toward achieving those goals.

Husband and wife, Joe and Angie Racolta, appear to know this better than most.

Joe and Angie were high school sweethearts who traveled separate paths in life after graduation—only (Cont'd on page 97)

“The ideal day is a weekend filled with family or friends, hanging around the fire pit, boating to area restaurants, or just relaxing lakeside,” Angie said.

“We spend a lot of time in the lower level relaxing, watching TV, and entertaining friends,” Angie said. “Our wet bar is super inviting!”

The main living room is two-stories high with windows surrounding for natural light + optimal water views.

This top-level balcony overlooks the open-concept living room below.

This beautiful main-level bar is fully stocked + ready for frequent guests. The laundry room has painted cabinetry for a fresh, fun look. The glamorous dining room area offers gorgeous lake views and a walkout to one of the upper-level balconies.

A place where Angie works and entertains, this granite kitchen island is both functional and offers another great view of the Wawasee waters.

The master bedroom + bathroom is an exquisite, private retreat, complete with freestanding tub + chandelier.

to be reunited many years later—to continue their journey, walking hand-in-hand, forever.

Joe and Angie Racolta, a power sales couple (he as a regional sales manager in the RV industry, and she in real estate) work hard, work smart, and they embrace the reality that life takes unexpected turns. “Sometimes we need to do what scares us,” Angie said. “After 25 years in the medical device industry, I took a leap of faith and walked away from corporate life.” And then? She created a new, fulfilling world for herself in real estate… a world that embraces her passion.

The Racoltas live year-round in their 4500-square-foot, 3-level home on the south side of Lake Wawasee. This open-concept contemporary home with lots of glam’ is a 4-bedroom, 3.5 bath home designed for lake views, plenty of area for entertaining, fun, and quiet reflection all the same.

Construction completed in 2015 by Millwood Construction. The Racolta’s goal with their build? A home that encourages the most important lake home values: beauty, togetherness, love, family, friends, and yes, water views from every room.

Goal accomplished. And the lake home values of the Racolta residence? We’d say: priceless.

The home has three guest rooms, with plenty of space for their children (Trane, Kirsten, and son-in-law Drew), as well as a brilliantly-colored bedroom designed for their 5 grandchildren (Braxton, Colt, Keegan, Ryder, Annalee).

Shout-out

to the builder + suppliers:

“Millwood Construction provided high-quality, wonderful craftsmanship,” Angie said. “They were great to work with, as well as all the subcontactors; I enjoyed working with them all. Of particular mention, Brian from Yoder Plumbing & Heating always went above and beyond for us, and our architect (Gary Hochstetter, AccuCad, Warsaw) was so nice to work with in designing our home.”
