To Show Your Friends You Care By Stacie Ball
We need our girlfriends now more than ever to make it through these stressful times. September is National Friendship Month, so what better time to choose a couple favorites from this list and show your besties how much you care?
3. Create a scrapbook.
7. Lend a hand.
4. Bake her favorite dessert.
Even when you’re busy, try to carve out a few minutes to listen to or help a friend in need. Offer a couple of times that you are free to talk longer if you are really in a pinch.
You can do this the old-fashioned way by gathering physical photos of special memories over the years and placing them in a scrapbook. It can be as simple or elaborate as you want it to be. There are also many programs online like Shutterfly, Chatbooks or Freeprintsphotobooks that allow you to create a scrapbook with digital photos and have it mailed to your friend.
1. Share a bottle of wine.
One of the best ways to talk to your friends is with a delicious beverage in hand. Not a wine drinker? Have a conversation over a pot of coffee or tea. You might even decide to make it a weekly or monthly appointment where you experiment with different flavors and creamers.
2. Write a letter.
It is pretty exciting to get mail from a loved one instead of another bill. It’s also a great way to show you care while maintaining social distancing. Use pretty stationary, fancy ink and stamps or stickers. Tell what has been happening in your life or what things make your friend so special to you.

Even if all you can manage are break n’ bake cookies, your friend will appreciate the time you put in to make her a sweet treat.
5. Send or deliver a care package.
Gather some fun bath bombs, lotions, loofahs, a glo Magazine, or anything else you and/or your friend would use for a day of self-pampering. Put it all in a pretty bag or box with some tissue paper and a cute “Thinking of you” note.
6. Take a trip or walk together.
The sky is the limit here. It can be as simple as a walk around the neighborhood, an afternoon shopping trip, or even a weekend girls’ getaway.
Offer to help complete a project. Or offer to watch the kids and/or cook dinner while she works.
8. Make time for her. 9. Listen.
Sometimes all a girl wants is someone to listen to her. Try to minimize distractions and stay focused on your friend. Ask relevant questions; try not to judge or steer the conversation.
10. Post a pic on social media.
We like to document the best parts of our lives on social media. What better way to show a friend she is important than posting a current picture or memory with a caption explaining how fun or great she is. a photos: shutterstock.com
