TIPS ON HOSTING AN Unforgettable

By Kristin King

While it’s easy to let the stress of an impending wedding bog you down, there’s at least one night that should be worry-free and overflowing with celebration—the bachelorette party. We’re here to help you maids-ofhonor plan an evening of entertainment, whether it be casual or classy, a night in or a night on the town. When planning your celebration, just remember that it’s all about fun. Get to know the group you’re hosting beforehand so that you can plan accordingly.

FOR THE ADVENTUROUS

If you’re looking for a little more than a casual get-together, plan a trip to Fort Wayne Escape Room! Choose one of four challenging experiences like solving a mystery in space or surviving a zombie apocalypse to put the ladies to the test.

You can also create your own game for the evening by organizing a scavenger hunt for the group. Dance with a total stranger, take an embarrassing selfie, and loosen up a little bit for a night full of laughter and new experiences.

Want to kick it up a notch? Make it a theme. Dress up as the bride’s favorite movie character, create your own t-shirts or embrace a past decade. You can always go the traditional route as well with sashes, tiaras and goofy accessories.

FOR THE CREATIVE

For those with an artsy side, try scheduling a Board and Brush or Wine and Canvas experience. Help the girls bond over a glass of wine and some artistic expression. Create a gift for the bride or a memorable piece for yourself.

Want to get creative with your look for the night? Host a makeover party. You can reserve Blush Bridal Boutique, located downtown for a private beauty bar. Their talented staff will help you achieve that perfect look whether the party is staying in or going out.

FOR THE SOCIABLE

Make it a classic party by hitting the town. Rent a trolley to get you safely from one venue to the next as you experience Fort Wayne nightlife. With dozens of bars offering music, dancing and cocktails, you’re sure to host a night to remember.

Visit some of the coveted wineries and breweries in town like Country Heritage, Hop River or Kekionga Cider Company to drink local. Most venues have private spaces available.

Don’t forget to make a stop at Fort Wayne’s new rooftop experience, Conner’s, located atop the Hampton Inn & Suites. Rain, sun or snow, the rooftop is a must-see, featuring seasonal craft cocktails and delicious tapas. a
