NEIGHBORHOODS

Alongside city-wide events like First Fridays, neighborhoods throughout Goshen also hold their own events and activities to build camaraderie and relationships within their communities. There are currently 15 neighborhood associations within the city, with more coming together. Goshen’s neighborhood associations often organize neighborhood-wide block parties, garage sales and participate in the Chamber of Commerce “Beautify Goshen Week” each May.

Specialized senior living communities in Goshen provide top quality senior care including rehabilitation, transitional and long-term care with a neighborhood feel.

A major focus of new housing development in Goshen is along the Millrace Canal, which is also adjacent to the city’s attractive and vibrant downtown. Luxury townhouses and co-housing are offered as a part of the River Race redevelopment. Residents in this area will enjoy bike paths just yards from each doorstep, a brief walk to anywhere downtown and a waterfront view.

More housing is planned on the south side of town, a short walk from Prairie View Elementary and near the developing Waterford Commons Business Park. On the east side of the city, another community provides residents with a maintenance-free lifestyle and easy access to downtown Goshen and U.S. 33.

Whether you’re interested in the majestic look of a historical home, a newer condominium in a planned community, a downtown loft apartment, a brand new subdivision or a starter home, Goshen has a place just for you and is ready to welcome new residents.
