We’d love to be the host venue to support your charity event, a Chari-Tea’ and host Afternoon Teas at the barn.
The Old Kent Barn is an exclusive-use venue nestled in rural Kent countryside in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The location benefits being both close to coastal towns and the historic city of Canterbury.
The barn is renowned for hosting exceptional events with calm, precise event management.

Proposed event times: 11-3pm
VENUE HIRE
Complimentary. Thank you for your patience waiting for us, this date if you’d like is now available after it has been considered for other events. We therefore would love to give you complimentary hire of the New Barn.
You’ll have privacy and exclusivity for the duration of your event.
We’ll supply linens and napkins and can offer table configurations and sizes to suit your attending guests.
We can have tables from 2 – 11
The event will be staffed, and the bar will be open for guests wishing to purchase any drinks.

Menu
Chef will create an afternoon tea menu. Below is examples of previous menus we’ve created for Christmas and Spring.
Dietaries: We can cater for dietaries with advance notice, however due to the tea style some items may not be interchangeable, and an alternative or duplicate item will be provided.

Afternoon tea to include tea and coffee/water £35pp
Bottomless bubbles Upgrade (2 hours) £45pp
The teas are priced per person and based on an adult (11+) All prices are VAT inclusive.
If you’re considering children attending please let us know. We can create a children’s menu and pricing.
For example your bill could look like
55 x Afternoon Tea @ £35 = £1,925
10 x Afternoon Tea (Bottomless Bubbles @ £45 = £450
Total £2,375
It would be your choice if you’d like to increase the face value of the ticket to raise additional funds, or you may wish to charge the ticket value and run a raffle or prizes/games alongside.
Securing Your Event
To secure your event, please let us know you’d like the date. We’d hold this date for you and await your guest numbers and dietaries.
Ideally, we’d have your initial numbers at 30 days prior to your event, we can be a little flexible with events vs weddings. We’d kindly ask for full payment at 21 days prior. You would be able to amend your numbers to increase or decrease and make changes until 10 days prior.
Minimum numbers. We’d suggest minimum numbers of 40 and a maximum of 100. However, if you find your numbers go below or above this do let us know and we can look at this for you.
On the day
We’ll set the room for you!
If you have any decorations or a stylist that might support the event we can organise access from 8.30am. If you’d like to add any items of your own, we’d of course organise this for you.
If you have suppliers such as music, photo, etc they’d of course be most welcome.
Raffle
We can certainly support any games or raffles and announcing that you might wish to include. We’d love with your permission to capture some content on the day to share in future marketing.
