Abstract.

The city of Medan is the 3rd largest city in Indonesia. The increasing public interest in pets does not have enough knowledge of caringfor animals, such as when animals are sick and need special care.

One of the best solutions is visiting a veterinary hospital. A hospital is a particular animal health care center where the room and facilities must be complete according to applicable regulations, of the Minister of Agriculture No.2/Permentan/OT.140/1/20.

Following these regulations, in an animal hospital facility, of course, there is an examination room for animals. The examination room handles the initial examination of animals before the animal is diagnosed with an infectious disease.

Peraturan Menteri Pertanian No.2/Permentan/OT.140/1/20 could be applied in the interior design of the examination room of a veterinary hospital by following the standard completeness set the form of the room following the function, or “form follows function,” which results in a better space design.
