completely beyond my understanding. People spend hard-earned money or receive gifts of all sorts of outdoor toys, and do not take care of them. This includes everything from thousanddollar strollers to fifty-dollar imitation doll carriages! In our neighborhood one must dodge bikes, electric toy cars, scooters, and riding toys as they drive through. It’s no wonder someone could hit my bike and not say anything, or apologize, when easy come easy go. And it’s almost no wonder that children think they can take anything they want, after all, they are not even caring about their own things.

ARE YOU GAINING WEIGHT FROM ALL THE YOM TOV MEALS? WOULD YOU LIKE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR “BODY TRANSFORMATION PROGRAM”

This attitude of anything I see I can use, and anything I want I can take, does not seem B’derech Ha’Torah at all to me. Not teaching responsibility and this great lack of hakaras hatov worries me tremendously. I hope all these letters will create a positive awareness as we enter a new year. ~ T. K.
