CELEBRATION OF BAISAKHI Dhol making activity by Nursery To mark the celebration of Baisakhi, children of Nursery coloured the thermocol glasses with their favourite colour with the help of paint and brush and made beautiful dhol out of it.. Such activities help on developing kinesthetic skills and bring out the creativity in children. It also helps in development of fine motor skills. Children thoroughly enjoyed doing the activity.

Baisakhi Celebration by Nursery and KG Baisakhi refers to the harvest festival in Punjab. The festival occurs during the harvesting of winter crops. The day is observed by Punjab’s farming community as a day of thanksgiving for the abundant harvest. The community also seeks blessings for future prosperity and progress. Also, it is the day when Sikhism was born as a collective faith. Children of grade Nursery and KG, celebrated Baisakhi by taking part in different fun filled activities. The day started with a brief introduction about the festival given by the class teachers to the children.

Activity of Grade P2 Numbers

“There is strength in numbers, but organizing those numbers is one of the

great challenges�.

To explain the concept of numbers, a play-way outdoor activity of P2 was organized in the school’s lawn. Each child was encouraged to pick up two digits and they framed two numbers from those digits. Each one gave the number name, and later the group of 3 or 4 children arranged their numbers in ascending & descending order and comparison of numbers was also done by them. They enjoyed the activity and understood the concept of numbers in a practical way.
