Q: What women have inspired you and why? A: Professionally, Barbara Walters. My mom and I watched her specials when she hosted the ABC news magazine show on Friday nights called 20/20. She did everything, from interview World Leaders to World Superstars, and she did it so well. You really felt you were taken inside that person's private quarter and given a special look at their life, and what makes them who they are. But bar none, my mother. She raised three girls in Queens while my dad worked and came here from Burma (now called Myanmar). She left behind her family and a life of privilege to marry the man she loved. She had to learn on her own how to raise a family, cook, clean, run a home, etc. with no support system. Her mom, and all her friends and relatives were in Singapore and Burma. Q: What advice would you give your 25-year-old self? Enjoy the growing pains and grumble less. I look back now so fondly and with humor on the things that went wrong or frustrated me back then. Perfection is boring. It’s the flaws and mistakes that make a person! Q: What type of legacy would you like to leave this world? Help people find peace, hope, love and unity in Christ. Q: Have you always been comfortable in your skin? Or was that a work in progress? No, I wasn’t which is why I got a cosmetic eyelid surgery called double eyelid surgery when I was 26 years old. I was on TV and wanted my eyes to look more Caucasian and open, at the recommendation of a big talent agent. He was honest and straightforward, and I thank him for his candor. He was right: he said, "If you get this eyelid surgery, your career will take you to a top 10 market." I was in Dayton (market 52) at the time. After my surgery healed, I got job offers in Washington, DC and NYC.

Q: How do you make money off your investment?

Q: What is cryptocurrency? A: Cryptocurrency is digital money. It’s money like the dollar or euro or yen, except it exists only in a digital form and is not managed by central authorities (like banks or governments). The most well-known – and the first and most popular one – is bitcoin! Bitcoin is often referred to as “digital gold” because of its store of value and digital scarcity. Q: Is there a minimum investment to get started for cryptocurrencies? A: No, the great thing about cryptocurrencies is that you can start out small, with as little as $10, $100, $1000. This is because you can buy fractions of a bitcoin like 0.5 BTC, 0.1 BTC, 0.01 BTC rather than 1 whole bitcoin. So even if you’re relatively risk-averse, you can still test out the crypto waters with just $10. A lot of people get scared off when they see that the price of bitcoin is $50,000 or $60,000 and think “I can’t afford that!” – but you can. You don’t have to buy one entire bitcoin to get started.
A: Bitcoin is often referred to as “digital gold” or “gold 2.0”. You can certainly day trade it, and leverage bitcoin’s volatility, but that can be a riskier, more stressful way to go about it! Many bitcoin investors buy and hold their bitcoin (like gold investors do), similar to the way you would buy and hold your gold as an investment. In 2010, 1 bitcoin was worth less than $0.10. Fast forward 11 years, in 2021, 1 bitcoin is worth over $61,000 CAD (at time of writing). That’s why it’s important to be patient and zoom out when it comes to building wealth. Q: Why is it important for women to empower themselves for their finances? A: Canadian women weren’t officially allowed to have a bank account in their own name until 1964. That shows us once more how money and investing have traditionally been a man’s game. Given, there are still financial disparities between women and men, our mission at Netcoins is to help close that gap through education and cryptocurrency tools. We want to see more women understanding, investing and benefitting from cryptocurrencies. Q: How can people get educated on cryptocurrencies through Netcoins? A: At Netcoins, we built a Crypto Academy for Beginners where we answer the most frequently asked questions like: What are cryptocurrencies? What is a blockchain and how does it work? How do you keep your cryptocurrencies safe? and so much more. It’s a great place to start if you’re new to the world of crypto.

I am also a representative for UNESCO, Center for Peace at the UN. I hold the position of President of the Farah Delance Foundation and President of the United Nations of Women Empowerment Coalition. Love, live, and laugh I live inspired and motivated! Q: What professional activities are you involved in? A: I’m working on women empowerment. I just launched the United Nations of Women Empowerment Coalition. My job as a woman is to connect all the women leaders throughout the world through collaborative events, campaigns and experiences to help other women who are in need. I also play a role in helping orphans understand that they are not alone when they lose their parents and to help them to move forward.
Q: What awards have you received? A: I received the Best Humanitarian Award, Leadership Award, Coronavirus Warriors Award and the President’s Volunteer Service Award. In my home country, Haiti, I was recognized as one of the top 50 Haitian women models and inspirations.

Q: You and your husband are such a power team. Why is it important to operate a relationship as a team? A: I believe that when you are in a relationship you are there to help one another grow, and achieve each other's BIG goals and purposes. Being a team player means sometimes focusing more on your spouse's goals rather than your own and taking turns to buckle down on certain work or life projects when they are more important than others. This is something Corrie and I both continue to work on because we both love business, love to help and love to create! We also have learned that there are certain roles and tasks that we both take care of and manage, this way we aren't crossing over each other's departments and wasting time. When we operate in a flow state things simply are just better and every aspect of our lives thrive better with ease and less resistance.

Q: What are your biggest takeaways from 2020 in regards to running a company and being a CEO? A: There definitely are a few for sure! 1. No matter what the external situation is, you can always create a solution and make things happen-- it takes some hard work and commitment, and no considerations. At the beginning of 2020, I didn't have Meghan as our Co-Founder or Chelsea Burwash as our Director of Sponsors and Partners or the 15+ incredible ladies who are on our team -- I am so grateful that the stars aligned and we really came together to produce some seriously incredible events with speakers that we literally have dreamed about working with. 2. Trust your intuition I literally went into business with Meghan, never even having met her. I hosted an event with MDW in June with Elena Cardone in which we had proceeds going to a non-profit which Meghan ran. Meghan was blown away by the event and bluntly said, "I want to work with you." Having no idea what I was going to do with MDW, I said, "Sure, let's hold an event together." So Meghan joined Chelsea and I (Chelsea and I are soul sisters who have worked together for quite a few years hosting events through a brand she owns called Project YOU) in hosting our first collaboration event in September called "Think Outside The Box". I never doubted working with Meghan and having her come on as Co-Founder. Our energies just clicked and I could tell she was an extremely hard worker -- she was working literally up until her due date with her son Darius, she is seriously insane or incredible! I definitely know it is incredible -- that is just how she is. Producing makes her happy, and I love and support that! We've been on a crazy journey these past 9 months of working together and we have taken on a team of over 20, whom we trusted our intuitions on and it always has worked out. So do not ignore those thoughts when you have them, that is all I can say. One decision can change an entire trajectory - you know what you know. 3. Be persistent, don't take yourself out of the game. If I gave up this year after all the 'no's' that Meghan, Chelsea, and I
have gotten I would probably be rich if a "no" accounted for a dollar. MDW is definitely not a onewoman show, we are a team. We are committed and we keep playing -- too many people quit before they get on the scoreboard and I think the ones who succeed are the ones willing to play unlimited overtime. Q: What are your future goals for Modern Day Wife? A: As a team, we have really looked at the big dreams for our company, we would love to have an actual center that is a hub for the Modern Day Women and a facility where she can literally get it all done and that houses all the things she needs for herself and her family. We want to expand Internationally having events in every major city across the globe! Most of all, we want to continue to inspire women and couples to succeed in life -- our community is a onestop shoppe for them. It is a place where they can come to be inspired and educated on how to make it all go right in life, career and relationships.

Q: You've been involved in event production for years, how did you get started? A: I have produced 2000+ events mainly in the nonprofit field, but also in the entertainment and medical worlds. Really, it all got started when I formed the New York chapter of a nonprofit along with my father in 2006. We started having enormous demand for our grassroots events which then turned into partnerships with celebrities, sports figures, and government figures. At that point I was producing events at NASDAQ, New York Fashion Week, and internationally. I’ve been delivering events for all types of people from children to teens to fashionistas to CEOs, and really just love the experience of planning something from start to finish. Q: What are your core values when it comes to business style? A: I truly believe that kindness is super important in whatever you do. Whether it’s sending an email, orienting a new person to your team, or just in regular life when meeting people, granting people importance and treating them with respect really goes a long way. I also think it’s important that while we’re professional and organized, we also have some fun and laughter while we are doing it. There is a quote that I have followed since I learned about it in middle school which is “to be early is to be on time, to be on time is to be late and to be late is unforgivable.” To be honest, up until having a baby I was pretty ruthless in following this. So definitely a blend of professionalism and warmth is key to surviving in this world.
Q: How has your life changed as you have evolved from single lady to married lady to now a mama? A: I have lived so many lives in just this one lifetime. I was once the epitome of the single gal living in Manhattan and having an amazing time. I then got engaged and moved to Los Angeles where I live now, and then more recently had a baby. Each of these time periods has changed me enormously. I’ve definitely become a bit more of a homebody, and as if I wasn’t already a workaholic, Covid has definitely pushed me even more in that direction. Life is definitely a balancing act which I keep trying to improve along the way!

Q: What is your greatest passion in life? A: I am super passionate about health and fitness. I love the effects I experience from moving my body in different ways. Q: What about connecting brands with community excites you? A: I know how hard it is to be a business owner and how much it takes into building a successful brand. Anything I can do to support other entrepreneurs I am always up for, so we can all win together. I have seen the power of collaboration and how impactful it can be in getting you to the next level. Q: How has the Canadian audience been influenced by your work? A: I am a pretty big advocate for women to push past their comfort zones because that’s truly where you will see the biggest rewards. I know what it feels like to be scared to do something because you don’t think you can. I’m here to tell you that you can do it and we will be here to support you on your journey.
