Building a Life of Impact and Intention: Balancing Family, Business, and Community

HOW DO YOU MEASURE SUCCESS IN YOUR ROLES AS A WIFE, MOTHER, BUSINESSWOMAN, AND COMMUNITY BUILDER?

I measure success in my roles as a wife, mother, businesswoman, and community builder by the harmony I’m able to create between them. For me, family always comes first—it’s the foundation that keeps me grounded. Success as a wife and mother is knowing that my loved ones feel supported, cared for, and deeply connected to me. We are a very tight knit family. My husband and I have been married for 11 years and have known each other for 30 years. We prioritize time together by having scheduled date nights, trips together and finding joy in the day to day.

As a businesswoman, I define success by the impact I make—building meaningful partnerships, bringing value to sponsors, and helping create experiences that empower and inspire women. In community building, success shows up when I see women feeling included, supported, and motivated to step into their own potential.

And equally important, I measure success by the time carve out for myself—whether that’s through small moments of peace or doing the things I love. Taking care of myself allows me to show up as my best in all these roles. I am really putting emphasis on new hobbies and spending time on activities I enjoy.

WHAT ARE YOUR WORDS TO LIVE BY THAT INSPIRE YOU DAILY TO TAKE ACTION?

The words I live by are keep my feet moving. I’m a huge believer in taking action. I think a lot of women wait for the perfect timing or for that moment when they “feel like it,” but the truth is—if I only relied on how I was feeling, I probably wouldn’t get much done. Especially when it comes to something new or intimidating, I know fear can creep in. That’s why another motto I live by is feel the fear and do it anyway.

For me, it’s about pushing forward no matter what—whether I’m scared, tired, or unsure. Action is what creates momentum, and momentum is what creates results. I’d rather take imperfect steps than stand still waiting for the right moment. Do it scared, do it tired, but just do it—that’s what inspires me to keep growing, keep building, and keep moving forward every single day.

WITH TECHNOLOGY AND SOCIAL MEDIA, HOW DO YOU USE THE INTERNET TO HELP YOUR BUSINESS, AND WHAT’S SOMETHING YOU DO TO CONNECT WITH PEOPLE IN PERSON?

Technology and social media are incredible tools that I use every single day in my role. They allow me to connect with sponsors, clients, and partners all over the country and even internationally. I’m on Zoom calls all day, and while that’s an efficient way to get things done, I’ve learned that nothing really beats in-person connections. There’s just something about sitting across from someone, sharing a laugh, and truly getting to know them on a deeper level that makes the relationship more meaningful.

Since moving to Scottsdale from Vancouver earlier this year, I’ve been so inspired by the amazing women I’ve met—many of whom I first connected with through sales calls. Meeting them face to face has transformed those conversations into genuine relationships that feel like the start of real friendships. For me, that’s where the magic happens. Technology opens the door, but inperson connection is what really cultivates lasting partnerships and community.

FEMININE FOCUSED

From Hollywood To Housebound To Healing

CAN YOU HIGHLIGHT A SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE OR CHALLENGE IN YOUR ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY AND THE LESSONS LEARNED FROM IT?

My entrepreneurial/professional life and personal life as an International Award-Winning Host, Speaker and Creator have longtime been intertwined. Following a car accident at 31 years old (en route to a TV commercial audition, had 7 others running at the time), I proceeded to spend the majority of my 30s housebound while recovering.

Those years consisted mainly of laying flat on a massage table 24/7, staring at the ceiling, struggling to breathe, wondering why I was here, being spoonfed, taken to the bathroom, waiting for home healthcare to arrive and endure a wild combination of treatments, going bankrupt, becoming estranged from my family, having 6 neck surgeries, being suicidally depressed, and - for some of that time - even speaking through blinking. This was all after most medical professionals gave up.

It’s been a journey of tremendous resilience, profound gratitude and unwavering faith, one I call “From Hollywood To Housebound To Healing.” That’s exactly what I’ve spoken to thousands about over the last decade since re-introducing myself to the world (following a career in entertainment) as BabbleOnBrooke. Babble On is my personal mantra to keep going.

This devastating challenge changed my life ENTIRELY, every single aspect of it, and the numerous lessons that were learned have been shared in my talks and various courses, including those featured in Forbes and Success Magazine.

The life-changing power of mindset and neuroplasticity, along with diving into advocating for invisible disabilities globally, and shining light on what really is possible - especially when others give up on us - are themes often highlighted. They will all be in the upcoming book as well.

WHAT ARE YOUR WORDS TO LIVE BY THAT INSPIRE YOU DAILY TO TAKE ACTION?

“When you wake up breathing, it’s a good day!” This is my personal quote I have shared for years, and one you’ll often hear me say online.

I know what it’s like to wake up struggling to breathe (my neck injury severely impacted my vagus nerve which is what caused this complication) and soon learned what a blessing it is to live without the constant necessity of medical intervention. Along with that comes the realization that there is good in each day. Long gone are bad hair days or too much traffic or yadda yadda, blah blah blah.

WHEN YOU WAKE UP BREATHING, IT’S A GOOD DAY. Period.

The other personal mantra I live by is BABBLE ON.

When I lost the ability to speak, it was devastating on so many levels. I could no longer work because that consisted of hosting and acting, both of which require speaking. And I couldn’t express myself to let my partner or healthcare providers know how I was feeling, what was going on inside, what needed, etc. My partner and I created a language of blinking, which we eventually taught to the livestream viewers who would tune in by the thousands from around the world, back in the day when I was one of the pioneers in that category. A question would be asked of me and one blink back meant yes, two meant no and three meant I love you.

I eventually began to envision myself speaking and being out in the world again, and “babbling on”, like the Babbling Brooke I’ve always been. So the mantra was born. Babble On soon represented more than just speaking. It encompassed the crux of my entire journey. Babble On = Keep Going.

Age With Strength TM

CAN YOU HIGHLIGHT A SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE OR CHALLENGE IN YOUR ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY AND THE LESSONS LEARNED FROM IT?

For me, the milestone wasn’t revenue, KPIs, balance sheets or selling out retreats It was sitting in my doctor’s office being told my body was breaking down from perimenopause. I was exhausted, inflamed, overweight, overwhelmed & ashamed that I, a fairly capable resourceful woman, couldn’t “fix myself.” Losing 80 pounds wasn’t just physical. It was the act of reclaiming my identity. The lesson? Transformation starts when you’re brave enough to admit you’re not okay. And on the other side of @HOW.GOOD.CAN.IT.GET

that honesty, you’ll discover a strength that no business plan or strategy book can teach you. That moment became the seed for THOR, because I realized women didn’t need another diet or gym. They needed a safe place to unravel, rebuild and rise.

LOOKING AHEAD, WHAT LEGACY DO YOU HOPE TO LEAVE FOR YOUR CHILDREN AND THE COMMUNITY, BOTH PERSONALLY AND PROFESSIONALLY?

I don’t want my children to remember me as “busy” or “successful.” I want them to remember that their mom had the courage to rewrite her story midlife, even when it looked messy and uncertain. Professionally, my legacy isn’t about scaling THOR. It’s about shifting how women see themselves in their 40s, 50s, and beyond. I want midlife women to stop whispering about weight gain, menopause or burnout and start celebrating their reinvention in full volume. If my kids and my community can look at me and say, “She didn’t wait for permission to change,” then that’s enough.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR WOMEN WHO FIND IT CHALLENGING TO PRIORITIZE SELF-CARE WHILE MANAGING MULTIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES?

I used to believe self-care was a spa day or a yoga class. But when you’re in the thick of raising kids, keeping a relationship alive and running a business, self-care is much grittier. It’s saying no to the extra glass of wine because you need clarity tomorrow. It’s eating real food when you want to numb out with sugar. It’s putting your sneakers by the bed because you know that 20 minutes of movement is the only thing standing between you and a spiral. My advice? Stop chasing “balance” and start building rituals that anchor you. The tiny things, repeated daily, matter more than the grand gestures.

Sonia Begonia: A Multifaceted Force in Tech, Lifestyle, and Influence

AS A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSWOMAN, WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR OTHER WHO ARE ASPIRING ENTREPRENEURS OR LOOKING TO ADVANCE IN THEIR CAREERS?

As a businesswoman, I’d say the most important thing is to embrace being multifaceted. Don’t box yourself into just one lane—your passions, skills, and interests can all work together to build something powerful and unique. For me, blending fashion, tech, and influence has created opportunities I never imagined, but it took consistency, resilience, and a willingness to evolve.

Currently, balance a full-time career in financial technology from 9 to 5 as a marketing manager, pursue my passion for influencing from 5 to 9, and also manage influencers for Modern Day Wife events. It’s definitely challenging to juggle it all— especially as a new mom—but it has taught me the importance of discipline, time management, and giving myself grace along the way. Every role I take on feeds into the bigger picture of who I am and the impact I want to make.

My advice to aspiring entrepreneurs and professionals is this: invest in yourself first. Learn constantly, take calculated risks, and don’t be afraid of failure—it’s feedback, not the end. Build authentic relationships, stay adaptable to trends and technology, and always lead with integrity. Success doesn’t happen overnight, but if you align your work with your values and keep showing up, the results will follow.

IN WHAT WAYS DO YOU ACTIVELY CONTRIBUTE TO BUILDING A SENSE OF COMMUNITY, BOTH IN YOUR PERSONAL LIFE AND THROUGH YOUR BUSINESS ENDEAVORS?

Community is at the heart of everything I do. Over the years, I’ve built a network of more than 500 local influencers, and I’ve made it a priority to create spaces where we can truly connect. I constantly host events... bringing together brands, influencers, and media... all out of my own pocket, simply because I love it. There’s something so powerful about seeing people collaborate, uplift one another, and celebrate each other’s wins.

For me, it’s not just about business—it’s about building a culture of support and inclusivity. Whether it’s through online collaborations or in-person gatherings, I’m always looking for ways to strengthen those bonds. I believe when we invest in community, we all rise together.

WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO START YOUR BUSINESS?

I studied Communications at UCLA and started my career in Hollywood as a

celebrity publicist, later working for a streaming network while moonlighting as a model to make it in Hollywood. Eventually, I moved back to the Bay Area due to health issues and to be closer to family... but I brought my passion for fashion, beauty, and lifestyle with me. I wanted to bring a little bit of that Hollywood energy to the Bay Area.

What started as a modeling portfolio on Instagram naturally evolved into an influencer platform. Over time, it became not just about photos, but about building a community, creating opportunities, and sharing my multifaceted journey in tech, fashion, and influence.

I want my social media to be about discovering inspiration and hope in all topics in life – fashion, mental health, relationships, etc. I want it to be a space be somewhere you can come when you’re feeling lost – when you need a laugh – when you have no idea what to wear – how to do your hair – or when you can’t remember why life is beautiful. If you take anything away from my online presernce – it’s that no matter the situation, you are never alone. The inspiration you desire is closer than you think. In fact, it might have been right inside you all along.

Manifesting Millions: How I Turned Rock Bottom into a Financial Empire

HOW DO YOU MEASURE SUCCESS IN YOUR ROLES AS A WIFE, MOTHER, BUSINESSWOMAN, AND COMMUNITY BUILDER?

I measure success by the impact I have on the lives of others—starting with my children and extending to the women in my community. As a mother, it’s about raising emotionally intelligent, confident kids who see possibility because they’ve watched me create it. As a businesswoman and community builder, success means helping other women transform their mindset, break generational cycles, and build real

wealth. I know I’m succeeding when women tell me they bought their first property, raised their prices, or finally believe they’re worthy of abundance. That’s the legacy I’m building—one morning, one mindset shift, and one millionaire mama at a time.

WITH TECHNOLOGY AND SOCIAL MEDIA, HOW DO YOU USE THE INTERNET TO HELP YOUR BUSINESS, AND WHAT’S SOMETHING YOU DO TO CONNECT WITH PEOPLE IN PERSON?

I started by going live on Instagram every Thursday to lead free money manifestation meditations—and honestly, that’s where everything began. I had no following, no big marketing budget, just a message I believed in and a desire to serve. Those early lives built trust and connection, and my audience grew organically from zero to thousands. Now, consistency on social media is nonnegotiable—it’s how I stay visible, build engagement, and continue empowering women around the world. But I also believe deeply in real, in-person connection. That’s why host live mastermind events and workshops where women can feel the energy, ask questions face-to-face, and leave with both strategy and sisterhood.

IN WHAT WAYS DO YOU ACTIVELY CONTRIBUTE TO BUILDING A SENSE OF COMMUNITY, BOTH IN YOUR PERSONAL LIFE AND THROUGH YOUR BUSINESS ENDEAVORS?

I actively build community by creating safe, empowering spaces where women feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow—both personally and financially. Through my business, I foster this connection by leading group programs, live meditations, and masterminds where women can share openly, learn from one another, and build real sisterhood. In my personal life, I show up with the same intention—whether it’s supporting my children, mentoring friends, or pouring into the relationships that matter most. Community to me means connection, vulnerability, and holding space for others to rise—and I try to embody that in everything I do.

WHAT PERSONAL CHALLENGES OR TURNING POINTS IN YOUR LIFE LED YOU TO THE IDEA OF FOUNDING DRIA DAIR, AND HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM?

Well, I was 23 and floundering in life in general, although I was running a little business already at that age, it was making me enough money to barely survive but at least it was fun and I had some sense of independence. It was called Gogoelite and it was a gogo dancing company in North Carolina. While doing that I had traveled to NYC and was doing some shopping and had seen a skirt in a store window I wanted to buy. I went in to buy it and they asked me for my wholesale license and I was like “what are you

talking about, I just want to buy this skirt.” They said no, I had to buy at least 10-12 and that really ticked me off so for the next 24 hours I kept thinking about that skirt, I still remember being on a street in nyc and the hair standing up my arms and me thinking “I think I could sell the other 9” and without a license I started buying that week.

WHEN YOU FIRST STARTED OUT, DID YOU HAVE A CLEAR VISION FOR DRIA DAIR, OR DID THE DIRECTION OF THE COMPANY EVOLVE OVER TIME?

The whole life experience has most definitely been an evolution. When I first started it was more about the excitement of me shopping for things I wanted and selling “the other 9”. I didn’t have much of a vision beyond shopping and paying rent. Eventually it evolved into a storefront and then a way bigger dream beyond that.

WHAT’S THE BIGGEST LESSON YOU’VE LEARNED FROM YOUR ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY WITH DRIA DAIR THAT YOU WISH YOU HAD KNOWN WHEN YOU FIRST STARTED?

How hard it was going to be and how much work it would actually take, not just to make money, but to stand out from the next company doing the exact same thing. Although knowing it wouldn’t have changed a thing. want to be right where I’m at.

HOW DO YOU STAY MOTIVATED AND FOCUSED ON YOUR VISION DURING TOUGH TIMES OR WHEN FACING SETBACKS IN BUILDING DRIA DAIR?

I don’t always, some days I’m unfocused, some days I’m unmotivated. Sometimes weeks. I’m only human. I think it was Zig Ziglar that used to say that “motivation is like a bath; neither lasts, so we recommend it daily”. For example, I went to a Tony Robbins event last week. I do things like this once or more times a year to make sure I’m still on the right path and still in my calling. I listen to business experts and motivational speakers weekly and follow social media accounts that motivate me as well.

YOU ALSO HAVE A NON PROFIT A HUMAN MISSION, WHAT VALUES OR PRINCIPLES ARE AT THE CORE OF THIS ORGANIZATION, AND HOW DO THEY REFLECT YOUR PERSONAL BELIEFS AS A FOUNDER?

At some point I realized that I didn’t feel alive unless I was contributing. I think it was Les Brown who said “you shouldn’t wait until you have enough money to give back, what if you die and you never gave back?”

I started volunteering at a local food bank and started looking around for other ways to give back. I noticed that most organizations were religious based and personally not very religious but I’m a strong believer that helping your fellow man is not only a religious mission, its A Human Mission. So to take that a step further and complete my mission I wanted to tie it in with clothes, so we have made it our mission to clothe those in need across the United States. This year besides giving clothes, we plan to give 50 kids in the phoenix area new air force ones for christmas.

AS A WOMAN IN BUSINESS HAVE YOU EVER FELT UNDERESTIMATED AND HOW DO YOU HANDLE THAT?

Yes, of course. Also I know this sounds weird but being a petite woman doesn’t help with that either. But that’s ok I always rise to the occasion and inside im 6’2, please underestimate me, so you can watch me over deliver.

WHAT MINDSET OR DAILY HABIT HAS PLAYED THE BIGGEST ROLE IN YOUR GROWTH AS A FOUNDER AND LEADER?

A mindset that I reality adopted or maybe I always had it but it came to the forefront and super important during covid became the idea of flowing with and embracing change and even getting excited about it and looking forward to it. Some people value certainty, I value variety. You have to be ready to adapt and change, it’s integral to survival.

AS A MOM OF TWO, WHAT ARE THE MOST SIGNIFICANT CHALLENGES YOU’VE FACED AS A MOTHER, AND

KENDRIA GODAIR

HOW HAVE THOSE EXPERIENCES SHAPED THE WAY YOU APPROACH LIFE AND PARENTING TODAY?

Last year my son’s father was murdered. In that moment and for those following weeks nothing else was important but that, but him. That’s when you learn your priorities for real and know all of this other stuff is fleeting and the only thing that matters is this kid and this moment. Not the business, not the opinions of others, not the past, nothing else. It made me approach everything in a more sacred way. My interactions with others and my actions, and my decisions to go after exactly what i want and be way more loyal to my dreams and the pursuit of them but also to value FUN right up there with the most important of feelings.

WHAT NEW DIRECTIONS OR VENTURES ARE YOU CURRENTLY EXPLORING?

Well professionally my newest adventure was acquiring a luxury bartending service Black Bar Co. Moving beyond fashion and a space I’m comfortable with has been super exciting for me and I can’t wait to grow that business and see where it will go. Personally, I’m always trying new things and I’ve picked up Competitive Shooting and go to the shooting range once a week and I’m obsessed. train with an amazing company “Girls Just Wanna have guns” ran by Adelina Tietz and I’m determined to be fluent in Spanish so I study every week. from Laura who owns “Espanol Con Laura”. If you know me, trying new things IS my favorite thing and I like to play as hard as I work.

HOW HAS YOUR DEFINITION OF SUCCESS EVOLVED SINCE LAUNCHING YOUR VENTURE?

I’m ever evolving, my vision is ever evolving and my mindset is as well. Stagnant equals death in my mind. Success meant money before yes, but now more than ever it means freedom and it always will. And I’m not married to any one outcome. I’m here for the twists and turns of the journey.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHER WOMEN BUILDING A BUSINESS WHO ALSO WANT TO PROTECT THEIR SENSE OF JOY AND FULFILLMENT?

To hire out for all the things they don’t find enjoyable. For example, running my business on social media makes me very unhappy. It’s a must for me to have someone else that’s an expert at that, do that job, for my happiness. Also, for your sanity unplug on vacation, if nothing else. Learn to ignore text messages and live your life.

WAS THERE A DEFINING MOMENT WHEN YOU HAD TO CHOOSE BETWEEN SCALING YOUR BUSINESS AND PROTECTING YOUR PERSONAL WELL-BEING? HOW DID YOU NAVIGATE IT?

As I mentioned before, when my son’s father passed tragically I realized I always choose me, always choose us and make no apologies.

IN WHAT WAYS HAS MOTHERHOOD PUSHED YOU TO GROW PERSONALLY, AND HOW DO YOU HOPE THAT GROWTH WILL INSPIRE YOUR DAUGHTER AS SHE NAVIGATES HER OWN JOURNEY?

Well for one I never felt the sense of urgency to succeed that I felt until I got pregnant with my daughter, in that moment I felt I had no option. My dad said to me out of care and concern “baby maybe open the store after you have her”. I emphatically said “no” because now I had a super clear WHY. I hope she knows she is so strong and so powerful and can do anything she sets her mind to and her actions to. It personally pushed me because soon after she was born, immediately I realized I wanted to be someone she was proud of and could look up to, it changed everything in my thinking.

WHAT VALUES OR LESSONS DO YOU WANT YOUR SON AND DAUGHTER TO CARRY WITH THEM AS THEY GROW, AND HOW DO YOU HOPE TO MODEL THOSE THROUGH YOUR OWN ACTIONS AND CHOICES?

I want them to have the mentality of a go getter. One time I was telling a friend of mine a problem and set back i was having and they said to me “well you got this you’re a figure-it-outter” and that stuck with me and became part of my identity and the way I carry myself and want that for them, and really for everyone reading this. I hope that in business or whatever they do I’ve taught them to carry themselves with integrity and make their word their bond and something you can count on. I want to bring back the idea of someone being able to hold up to a handshake on their word, and yes, we will sign contracts but I said it, and that means it’s as good as done.

HOW DO YOU BALANCE THE DEMANDS OF MOTHERHOOD WITH YOUR OWN PERSONAL AMBITIONS, AND WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOUR CHILDREN ABOUT FINDING THAT BALANCE IN THEIR OWN LIVES?

I’ve said this before when I spoke at a Modern Day Wife event but I feel it should be called the “pursuit of balance” similar to the pursuit of happiness, you can’t and won’t find it every day. Some weeks you’re a great business woman and that takes most of your time and some days you focus on the kids that day and lack in the parental department. You have to give yourself grace and be okay with that and hope as your kids grow older they have their own dreams and ambitions and understand.

WHEN PEOPLE SUPPORT YOUR BUSINESS WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO YOU ON A PERSONAL LEVEL?

It means everything of course, people are not obligated to support you, even when they are involved in your life directly and should be supportive, they aren’t most of the time, so when someone does support you it tells you exactly what they think of you, it’s all your hard work coming to fruition.

WHAT OLD VERSIONS OF YOU HAD TO DIE IN ORDER FOR THIS VERSION OF YOU TO EXIST?

I feel like I kept the best parts of me and killed off everything that stood in my way for me to get to this point. Every bad habit, every bad friend, every bad influence. A lot of growing up had to happen for me to get her to this moment.

IN WHAT WAYS DO YOU PERSONALLY DEFINE WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A MODERN-DAY WOMAN?

One way I do, is because I had two kids without the support of a male, at that time, to raise them and life could’ve really went another direction but because I was determined to be successful in spite of my past decisions I made the choice to never give up. And because we live in a society that encourages women now to be all they can be, I was able to rise above my past, rise above my mistakes and make something of myself when plenty of people thought I wasn’t even capable.

DO YOU FEEL PRESSURE TO “DO IT ALL” AS A WOMAN TODAY—CAREER, HOME, SELF-CARE—AND HOW DO YOU MANAGE OR RESIST THAT EXPECTATION?

Of course I do. No one has ever put me under more pressure than I put on myself. I fail at so much of it and then I just remind myself that I have lots of talents and skills that other women don’t. Some of us are super gifted at cooking and cleaning and keeping a house. Some of us (me for example) were made to pay people to do that. I felt bad about that for years until one day my mom looked at me after I had complained for the 4,758 time about it and said “ ok Kendria, so what?, you’re not good at that part, well I bet your have tons of talents those women don’t have” and I decided she was right, we all have different gifts and I’d rather go 100% into what im good at and makes me happy than put all my effort into fixing a skill I don’t even care to have.

WHAT MESSAGE DO YOU HOPE YOUR LIFE AND CHOICES SEND TO THE NEXT GENERATION OF WOMEN—ESPECIALLY ABOUT WHAT’S POSSIBLE IN LOVE, LEADERSHIP, AND LIFE?

That you can’t “have it all” but you can definitely have whatever you’re willing to work harder than everyone else for and if you’re unwilling to give up.

“ BURN THE BOATS”

WHAT DOES BEING NAMED A 40 UNDER 40 HONOREE MEAN TO YOU PERSONALLY AND PROFESSIONALLY? ESPECIALLY BEING OUR ICONIC COVER GIRL.

I’m honored, truly. It’s simply a reflection of the hard work I’ve put in the last ten years and a recognition of the hard work I’ve specifically put in for Modern Day Wife.

WHAT DO YOU THINK SETS YOU APART TO BE CHOSEN FOR THIS LIST—AND WHAT VALUES OR QUALITIES DO YOU HOPE PEOPLE ASSOCIATE WITH YOUR NAME?

Because I have had every excuse to give up and I didn’t, no one would’ve blamed me at any point for throwing in the towel, but it isn’t in me. Perseverance, resilience, irreverence and an inability to conform is what I want to give off, I hope I do. An inability to care about the opinion of someone want to be nothing like. Word that is bond and a deep love for those that are loyal to me is all I care to be known for.

LOOKING BACK, WHAT KEY DECISION OR RISK HELPED PAVE THE WAY TO WHERE YOU ARE TODAY?

Moving during covid. Leaving behind everything I ever knew and loved. My childhood memories in that town. My negative influences, my old expectations, old reputation. Deciding in my soul to change everything that held me back from me being exactly who knew I was called to be. It opened my world to new influences, new ways of thinking, new possibilities, a new future, a fresh start. Closing my physical store and opening my mind to a new way of life.

WE KNOW YOU’VE BEEN UNDER A LOT OF ONLINE HATE AND SCRUTINY, WHAT DO YOU DO TO IGNORE THE ONLINE NEGATIVITY AND KEEP YOUR CONFIDENCE?

I began to get a lot of hateful comments and downright awful things said about me around 2010 I went viral on facebook before “viral” was a thing. I had about 300k followers on a fan page (which is now deleted) and I wont lie I went though a period of time where I would wake up

every few hours in the night and check my comments and delete really mean ones and had intense anxiety, but at some point I realized how small town it was, and if I wanted to keep growing and be the boss I think I am how I needed to grow some thick skin, I couldn’t let the opinions of people I want nothing to do with and don’t want to be like at all, get to me. They have personal things going on in their lives because instinctively we know happy people aint hating and people with missions don’t have the time to care, and these people were very much in the bleachers of my life while I was on the field playing ball. What a blessing to be me in this scenario and this lifertime.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO SOMEONE THAT WANTS TO MAKE IT OUT OF THEIR SMALL TOWN?

My message is BURN THE BOATS.. Be smart of course, and have a plan but make a decision and move on it. If you’ve been sitting around for years thinking “I should move” this is for you. Leaving a place that isn’t serving you is not running away, it’s running towards your future. Some people can completely change their lives, paths, friend groups and futures in the same city they grew up in, more power to them. I couldn’t. Any true leader makes decisions fast and moves forward, but when you change remember you aren’t just changing locations, you did this to change your life. Develop new habits, new positive friend groups and a new determination to make this move work for you. I always say “whats the worst that can happen?... you move back” and that’s ok. Trying is more than most people do in a lifetime.

HOW DO YOU STAY GROUNDED AND FOCUSED WHILE ALSO BEING SEEN AS A RISING VOICE OR LEADER IN YOUR FIELD?

I stay grounded because of my daily practices. Because find peace in my routine when I’m home because there is nothing that makes me happier than my rocking chair, my garden and my peloton. Because know in my career and in my life, or anyone else’s, nothing is ever as good as it seems and nothing is ever as bad as it seems. That what goes up must come down and life is a rollercoaster and I’m here for it.

WHAT LEGACY DO YOU HOPE TO BUILD IN THE YEARS AHEAD, NOW THAT YOU’VE EARNED THIS RECOGNITION EARLY IN YOUR CAREER?

Well first i want to say that it is NOT early in my career. This is a decade of work in the making. Full of obstacles, failures, resilience and perseverance. But am more into living for right now, than I am into creating a legacy. Once we die we’re forgotten quickly, all that matters is what you do right now. Make it count.

HOW DO YOU MEASURE SUCCESS IN YOUR ROLES AS A WIFE, MOTHER, BUSINESSWOMAN, AND COMMUNITY BUILDER?

Success in my roles is a delightful blend of love, laughter, and ambition:

1. As a Wife: When my husband and I can share a knowing glance and burst into laughter, I know we’re thriving together. Our relationship is all about being partners in crime, sharing dreams, and enjoying each other’s quirks.

2. As a Mother: Success is when my kids look at me with bright eyes, eager to share their adventures and personal growth.

3. As a Businesswoman: It’s about hitting those milestones but also turning stressful meetings into brainstorming sessions with a bit of playful banter. If I’m having fun and seeing my vision come alive, that’s a win!

4. As a Community Builder: It’s all about creating a space where people feel like they belong and aren’t afraid to express their uniqueness. When moms uplift each other and find joy in shared experiences, I know I’ve done my job right.

At the end of the day, success is living a life filled with love, laughter, and a little bit of chaos.

WITH TECHNOLOGY AND SOCIAL MEDIA, HOW DO YOU USE THE INTERNET TO HELP YOUR BUSINESS, AND WHAT’S SOMETHING YOU DO TO CONNECT WITH PEOPLE IN PERSON?

When it comes to using the internet for my business, I like to think of social media as my virtual megaphone and a bit of a magic wand. It’s amazing for getting the word out about our latest projects and gathering feedback faster than my toddler can spill juice on a white carpet! I use platforms to share fun, engaging content that makes people smile and remember us.

To connect with people in person, I love hosting community events that are as enjoyable as a spontaneous dance party in the kitchen. There’s nothing quite like face-to-face interaction, where you can share a laugh, swap stories, and maybe even break into impromptu karaoke. I aim to create memorable experiences that make people feel part of something special and leave with a warm, fuzzy feeling—hopefully, the same way they feel about our community online!

Turning Pain into Purpose with PEMF Therapy

HOW DO YOU MEASURE SUCCESS IN YOUR ROLES AS A WIFE, MOTHER, BUSINESSWOMAN, AND COMMUNITY BUILDER?

It is my mission and life’s purpose to help people. I find my most fulfillment in maintaining deep and thoughtful relationships and connections. There are so many people that have inspired me and guided me along my path - therapists, dance coaches, teachers, mentors, spiritual guides, friendsand I also have been through my share of tough experiences. I pride myself on deeply caring for others and having empathy for those who are going through tough times. I do my best to make time for this because we all need each other and giving encouragement and love to the people around you really does go a long way. We all need someone to believe in us at one point in our life. like to be everyone’s biggest cheerleader because I genuinely love seeing people grow, succeed, and help others do the same. I am a true born and bred Disneyland goer and I believe love makes the world go around. So I measure my success by it’s impact, and sometimes those results aren’t seen right away, but I believe and trust that the seeds planted will bear their fruit in time one way or another.

WITH TECHNOLOGY AND SOCIAL MEDIA, HOW DO YOU USE THE INTERNET TO HELP YOUR BUSINESS, AND WHAT’S SOMETHING YOU DO TO CONNECT WITH PEOPLE IN PERSON?

STEPHANIE ARISTEI ANQI XIA

PEMF therapy is a little abstract for most people well conditioned in western medicine. How do you tell someone they can heal with pulsed energy? It feels like a far reach so what has helped is going to my clients instead of waiting for them to come to me. I do pop-ups around LA so people can see PEMF therapy and can try it. I also record their testimonials and experience being on it to make PEMF more approachable for those interested. Some people joke that they thought it was an electrical chair! These videos have really helped ease people’s fears and have peaked their interest in at least giving PEMF therapy a try. Another question I frequently get is “how does it feel?”. That’s also a really hard question to answer because everyone feels something different and in different areas of their bodies. It really does depend on where your body has the most inflammation because that is where the energy is most likely to pulse first. Some feel a tapping, some feel a kneading and many times it depends on where in your body you feel the pulse and at which frequency. There are many factors that go into how it feels, which is another reason why I really advocate for people to try it for themselves.

WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO START YOUR BUSINESS?

My painful health journey. I saw over 25 doctors and had multiple tests done and none of them could help me or tell me what was wrong. I had to basically become my own health coach and figure out how to heal myself on YouTube. I looked into alternative ways of healing such as biohacking, The Body Code, and even astrology. Those methods helped me more than western medicine did and my western medicine doctors even ultimately confirmed their findings were correct. After going through the motions of learning about all of the supplements and vitamins and finding PEMF therapy, I was finally able to heal myself, recover, and get back to doing what love most: bachata and salsa dancing. After going through everything, I realized that I didn’t want anyone else to suffer the way I did. I wanted everyone to know there are other options and alternative ways of healing and PEMF therapy was a huge game-changer for me! Many people have gate-kept this machine and its benefits and have wanted it to stay exclusive to a specific demographic. I couldn’t stay quiet about it. can’t sit by and watch people living in chronic pain suffer when I know of something that can seriously change their life and help them. Good health shouldn’t be a privilege. I believe everyone deserves the chance to feel good and live their best life. PEMF therapy is a more expensive modality than others, but people need to know they have options other than surgery and medication. Everyone who gets on the PEMF machine understands the benefits and value of it once they experience it themselves. I have made it my mission to spread the word about the benefits of PEMF therapy and help as many people as possible because the more information they have, the more informed people will be when making long-term decisions about their health and recovery. I also genuinely care for people and so starting this business gave me an opportunity to share what I know, help others, and further step into who I naturally am.

ANIZA FAJARDO LEXI SPADARO

Jewelry That Redefines the Story You Tell Yourself

AS A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSWOMAN, WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR OTHERS WHO ARE ASPIRING ENTREPRENEURS OR LOOKING TO ADVANCE IN THEIR CAREERS?

My advice is simple: don’t wait for the perfect moment to begin. Success is built on showing up every day, even when it feels messy or uncertain. Trust yourself enough to start, knowing you’ll probably stumble in the beginning and that’s not a setback, it’s part of the process. The key is to redefine your relationship with failure because every misstep is feedback, not a final judgment, and you only fail if you quit. When you shift your mindset and see challenges as part of the journey, you free yourself to keep moving forward. Time will pass quickly no matter what, so take action now. Keep swinging until it connects, and remind yourself that you’re exactly where you need to be. the truth is you know what step to take next even if you dont have it figured out, so just start & keep going it’ll come.

CAN YOU HIGHLIGHT A SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE OR CHALLENGE IN YOUR ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY AND THE LESSONS LEARNED FROM IT?

One of my most significant milestones has been pursuing my degree at Harvard while building Aniza Jewelry. Balancing school, entrepreneurship, and life has not been easy, but it has taught me that waiting for the “perfect time” is an illusion. The challenge of carrying both responsibilities at once forced me to become more disciplined, more resourceful, and more resilient. What I learned is that growth happens when you are stretched, not when you are comfortable. Every late night, every pop-up event, and every class project has shaped me into someone who understands that the journey itself builds the strength you need for the next level.

WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO START YOUR BUSINESS?

I started Aniza Jewelry because I wanted to create more than accessories, I wanted to create anchors. For me, jewelry has always been tied to identity, it’s a reminder of who you are becoming and the story you are writing for yourself. My own journey taught me how easy it is to let outside circumstances define you, and I wanted women to have something tangible that told a different story. Every necklace, bracelet, or ring is meant to be a symbol of courage, milestones, and self-belief. I built this brand so that ambitious women could feel powerful every time they put on a piece, knowing it represents their success, their resilience, and their ability to rewrite their own story.

My guiding words are: “Purpose, confidence, and belief.” They remind me to approach every day with clarity and intention, to trust my instincts, and to step boldly into opportunities that align with my vision. By holding onto these principles, I stay focused on growth, creating meaningful impact, and inspiring those around me while remaining true to who am.

WHAT INITIATIVES OR PROGRAMS DO YOU PARTICIPATE IN TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN IN YOUR COMMUNITY?

I actively contribute to empowering women in my community by creating spaces where they can grow, thrive, and feel truly supported. At Sculp, this means fostering a team culture that prioritizes development, well-being, and opportunity for every woman on my staff.

Surround yourself with people who challenge and inspire you, and never underestimate the power of persistence and resilience. Success is rarely linear, but staying committed to your vision while remaining adaptable allows you to grow, elevate your work, and make a meaningful impact in your industry. CAN YOU HIGHLIGHT A SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE OR CHALLENGE IN YOUR ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY AND THE LESSONS LEARNED FROM IT?

Launching a skincare device that no one had ever seen or felt before was both exciting and challenging. Educating people about the benefits of hydrogen and oxygen on the skin takes time, patience, and a lot of learning along the way. There were moments of doubt, but I stayed focused on the purpose behind LOOK25 to help people feel confident in their own skin. A year later, seeing real results and genuine feedback reminds me that growth takes time, and that believing in your vision quietly and consistently is what truly makes the difference.

IN WHAT WAYS DO YOU ACTIVELY CONTRIBUTE TO BUILDING A SENSE OF COMMUNITY, BOTH IN YOUR PERSONAL LIFE AND THROUGH YOUR BUSINESS ENDEAVORS?

Community is at the heart of everything I do. Through LOOK25, I’ve been able to create a space where women support, inspire, and uplift each other, sharing not just skincare results, but stories of confidence and growth. I love connecting directly with our community, whether

it’s through messages, events, or collaborations that celebrate authenticity. In my personal life, I try to lead with kindness and connection, always reminding those around me that when one of us rises, we all rise together.

AS A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSWOMAN, WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR OTHER WHO ARE ASPIRING ENTREPRENEURS OR LOOKING TO ADVANCE IN THEIR CAREERS?

Never give up on your dreams. As we grow, it’s easy to lose sight of them but your vision holds power. Manifestation is real, and every challenge you face is shaping the strength you’ll need to achieve what you’ve imagined. Every dream is planted in you for a reason, and when you lead with passion and purpose, the right opportunities always find their way. The journey won’t always be easy, but it will be beautiful, because growth happens in the moments you refuse to give up. Keep showing up, keep evolving, and never forget that your light was meant to inspire others.

Legacy Meets Leadership: Nicole Senia, The Next Generation Powerhouse Behind Elite Home Staging

HOW DO YOU MEASURE SUCCESS IN YOUR ROLES AS A WIFE, MOTHER, BUSINESSWOMAN, AND COMMUNITY BUILDER?

I measure success by the impact I make — not just in business, but in the lives around me. As a businesswoman, success means leading with integrity, empowering my team, and continuing to grow our family legacy at Elite Home Staging. As a community builder, it’s about connection — using my platform to inspire, support, and uplift others. For me, true success is when my work creates positive change, opens doors for others, and reflects the values I stand for both personally and professionally.

CAN YOU HIGHLIGHT A SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE OR CHALLENGE IN YOUR ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY AND THE LESSONS LEARNED FROM IT?

Stepping into a family business was a challenge in itself. Some people assume it might be easier because it’s a family company, but for me, it meant I had to prove myself more than ever to earn the respect of others in the business. In the early part of my career, that was definitely a hurdle. Today, I’m grateful for that experience because it pushed me to pave my own path, establish my own credibility, and build a team that respects and trusts me. It taught me that hard work, perseverance, and authenticity are the keys to leadership — no matter the circumstances.

IN WHAT WAYS DO YOU ACTIVELY CONTRIBUTE TO BUILDING A SENSE OF COMMUNITY, BOTH IN YOUR PERSONAL LIFE AND THROUGH YOUR BUSINESS ENDEAVORS?

In business, I focus on cultivating a team-family environment. I believe the reason our team thrives is because of the strong sense of community we’ve built through team bonding activities — from celebrating sales goals with spa days and bowling outings to trips and other shared experiences. To me, a community is a group of people you can truly rely on, and that’s exactly what we foster at Elite Home Staging. Our team supports one another both personally and professionally, and that foundation of trust and connection is what drives our success.

Breaking News Bombshell Charlie Neff

AS A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSWOMAN, WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR OTHER WHO ARE ASPIRING ENTREPRENEURS OR LOOKING TO ADVANCE IN THEIR CAREERS?

If you know what you want to do, kick down the door to get it. After I graduated the University of La Verne with a degree in Broadcast and Journalism, I struggled to get a job at an entertainment news outlet. After a lot of “no”s, I decided to create my own entertainment blog and interview celebrities myself. After covering an event for my blog, I took some photos and sold them to TMZ. Not long after, I submitted my resume to TMZ and landed a job on the news desk - I’ve been at TMZ ever since. Don’t be afraid to get creative and show some guts to get what you want.

CAN YOU HIGHLIGHT A SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE OR CHALLENGE IN YOUR ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY AND THE LESSONS LEARNED FROM IT?

In the beginning of my journalism career, I was always the one making calls to sources to get information on stories. After some time, sources started calling me to give me stories. Then one day, I got a call from a top source, telling me ‘Friends’ actor Matthew Perry tragically passed away in his jacuzzi. After confirming it and breaking the story on TMZ, I realized it was a career-defining moment for me. It was a very sad story, but from a news standpoint, it made me realize I successfully developed strong contacts and established myself as a trusted reporter in the industry. The source could have called any reporter in the world, but trusted me to report on the story in a sensitive yet accurate manner. The exclusive is one of the biggest stories in my career to date.

WHAT ARE YOUR TOP TIPS FOR MANAGING YOUR TIME?

I have always been a girl with a plan and have religiously kept a ‘reminder binder’ to help me manage and utilize my time to the max. Ladies - we shine when it comes to wearing many hats and juggling multiple things at one time. I push that to the max by creating both weekly and monthly goals for myself. But I also include time to relax and be ugly in my room by myself. When I’m tied and cranky after a long work week, I remind myself that being busy is a blessing. It’s easy to get lost in the sauce and feel overwhelmed. But when I think back to the days when I would have died for the opportunities I have now, I immediately become grateful and instead of looking tired with a frown, I slap on some eye masks, drink a hot chocolate and keep it moving.

HANNAH MARIA WRIGHT

HOW DO YOU MEASURE SUCCESS IN YOUR ROLES AS A WIFE, MOTHER, BUSINESSWOMAN, AND COMMUNITY BUILDER?

I measure success by reflecting on how far I’ve come in reaching my goals. I believe comparison is the thief of joy, so I focus on my own personal measures of success rather than comparing myself to others. Everyone has their own journey, and I find fulfillment in honoring mine.

WITH TECHNOLOGY AND SOCIAL MEDIA, HOW DO YOU USE THE INTERNET TO HELP YOUR BUSINESS, AND WHAT’S SOMETHING YOU DO TO CONNECT WITH PEOPLE IN PERSON?

I use social media and the internet as a tool to stay connected with my audience and shape the direction of my content. often post interactive polls and questions to get direct feedback on what they enjoy and what they’d like to see more of it helps me stay in tune with their interests.

At the same time, I make it a priority to connect with people offline, especially in the Pittsburgh community. This year, I launched a Women in Sports scholarship and continue to volunteer with the UPMC Senior Living Communities. I believe it’s so important to step away from the digital world and show up in real life. Not only does it keep me grounded, but it also helps me better understand the needs of my community and how I can make a real impact.

WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO START YOUR BUSINESS?

I started my business because realized there are so many women out there just like me navigating similar challenges and looking for someone they can genuinely relate to. I wanted to use my platform to create a space that’s uplifting and authentic, where I can share my experiences and hopefully inspire others to keep pushing forward, no matter what they’re facing.

RAVEN VERMEIL-BADMUS

Design your life from heart to home!

WHAT ARE YOUR TOP 3 TIPS FOR CREATING A GREAT MARRIAGE/RELATIONSHIP/PARTNERSHIP?

My secret sauce to a happy marriage can be boiled down to three essential ingredients: faith in God, open communication, and, of course, a delicious dose of fun!

My husband and I share a strong faith, which serves as the foundation of our relationship. Open and honest conversations are the bridges that lead to deeper understanding, allowing us to navigate the ups and downs together. Through obstacles and toasts during the good times, we find our way forward. Let’s not forget the most important element of all—fun! Our laughter keeps the good times rolling, creating those special moments that become lasting memories and keep the spark alive. These elements form the rock-solid foundation of my marriage that I plan to carry with us all the way into our senior living days!

WHAT IS YOUR BEST ADVICE TO SOMEONE TRYING TO BALANCE BEING A MOM WHILE RUNNING A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS?

Navigating the beautiful chaos of being a mom while running a successful business can feel like a juggling act, but it is entirely possible! First and foremost, prioritize self-care. Remember, you can’t pour from an empty cup. If you’re feeling overwhelmed and burnt out, it will be difficult to give your best to both your family and your business. When you take care of yourself, you create a joyful home environment, which is the truest luxury in life. Secondly, embrace the understanding that it takes a village to raise a child. Don’t hesitate to lean on others to share responsibilities—whether it’s your partner, family, friends, or even hiring professional support. Seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. By taking the time to nurture your own needs, you’ll find joy and success in both your parenting and entrepreneurial journey. A happy you leads to a happy home and a thriving business.

WITH TECHNOLOGY AND SOCIAL MEDIA, HOW DO YOU USE THE INTERNET TO HELP YOUR BUSINESS, AND WHAT’S SOMETHING YOU DO TO CONNECT WITH PEOPLE IN PERSON?

I love using social media to share my journey, inspire others, and connect with people all around the world. Platforms like Instagram let me showcase my projects, collaborations, and behind-thescenes moments in a way that feels authentic and creative. It’s amazing how the internet can bring people together who share the same passions. But I also think nothing compares to real human connection—meeting people at events, supporting local causes, and having real conversations face to face. That’s where genuine energy and inspiration flow.

WHAT ARE YOUR WORDS TO LIVE BY THAT INSPIRE YOU DAILY TO TAKE ACTION?

My words to live by are “Stay grounded, stay grateful, and keep going.” No matter what’s happening around me, I remind myself that gratitude attracts growth and that consistency creates magic. I believe every day is a chance to become a better version of yourself—to learn, to inspire, and to make a positive impact in the world. When you move with purpose and kindness, everything else falls into place.

My top three tips for creating a great relationship are communication, appreciation, and growth.

First, always communicate openly and kindly—even during the hard moments. Honest conversations build trust.

Second, never stop showing appreciation. Little gestures, gratitude, and words of affirmation go a long way.

And finally, grow together. Support each other’s dreams, learn from each other, and keep evolving as a team. Love isn’t about perfection—it’s about partnership, patience, and choosing each other every single day.

Influencing For Good

@LINDASUMMER_ SUMMERLIND93@GMAIL.COM LOS ANGELES, CA

WHAT ARE YOUR WORDS TO LIVE BY THAT INSPIRE YOU DAILY TO TAKE ACTION?

“Influence for Good”

We are living in crazy times. There are more challenges that we all face in society than ever before - yes, there are more technological advancements and it certainly isn’t all doom-and-gloom but with being connected more than ever, at times, we can get more bad than good. It’s my mission to make sure we are getting more of the good.

People need to know that there are positive messages in the world. That life is there to be created and there are influencers doing that. Those influencers are the ones I want to amplify.

I believe in my creators and their message and their ability to help others, that is what keeps me going.

WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO START YOUR BUSINESS?

I realized that I could empower voices to influence for good - I have a skillset in recognizing unique talent and fostering that. I understood that I wanted to help visionaries achieve their goals and that I could make that happen through my agency.

It feels incredible to see the impact my creator’s posts have on the world. You can see it in the comments, in the DM’s and ultimately in people’s real lives.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR WOMEN WHO FIND IT CHALLENGING TO PRIORITIZE SELF-CARE WHILE MANAGING MULTIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES?

This is a difficult one and I am still learning how to do this. I have made a lot of mistakes in this regard - I barreled past the sign posts telling me to slow down and I paid for it with my health. What has worked for me, having learned the hard way, is:

1. Have a supportive community around you and ask for help when you need it.

2. Recognize that pushing past limits doesn’t always get you further. Sometimes slow but consistent is the right path to success.

3. Remember that every time you put your health to the back burner, it carries the real risk of ultimately setting you back despite the allure of it moving you forward.

CARA’s ‘TEARS’ Charts a New Chapter in her Musical Journey

HOW DO YOU MEASURE SUCCESS IN YOUR ROLES AS A WIFE, MOTHER, BUSINESSWOMAN, AND COMMUNITY BUILDER?

For me, success isn’t just about charts or accolades — it’s about impact. As an artist and businesswoman, I measure success by how deeply my music resonates with people and how it helps create a sense of connection. Building community through my songs, especially around

themes of grief and resilience, means more than numbers. Success is when someone tells me a track helped them feel less alone in their own journey.

AS A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSWOMAN, WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR OTHER WHO ARE ASPIRING ENTREPRENEURS OR LOOKING TO ADVANCE IN THEIR CAREERS?

My advice is to stay authentic and persistent. There will always be noise, setbacks, and opinions, but knowing your “why” — your purpose — will guide you through. Don’t be afraid to wear many hats, because entrepreneurship is often about creating opportunities when doors don’t open. And above all, protect your vision while staying open to collaboration with people who truly align with it.

CAN YOU HIGHLIGHT A SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE OR CHALLENGE IN YOUR ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY AND THE LESSONS LEARNED FROM IT?

One of my biggest milestones was licensing my remake of “Fight for Your Right to Party”— “FIGHT”, which was approved by the Beastie Boys and Rick Rubin. That moment taught me that perseverance and respect for artistry open major doors. More recently, releasing my single “TEARS” after a hiatus was another defining milestone. The song debuted at #5 on Instagram’s Trending Audio charts in the USA, #2 in Canada, and #34 on TikTok’s Top 50 — reminding me that vulnerability resonates. Writing and executive producing the track myself, and then seeing it debut on iHeart Radio and connect globally, reaffirmed that being authentic with my emotions builds the deepest impact.

WITH TECHNOLOGY AND SOCIAL MEDIA, HOW DO YOU USE THE INTERNET TO HELP YOUR BUSINESS, AND WHAT’S SOMETHING YOU DO TO CONNECT WITH PEOPLE IN PERSON?

The internet allows me to share my story instantly and directly with fans — whether that’s through new releases, behind-the-scenes studio moments, or live streaming performances. Social media gives me a platform to not only promote my work but also to have real conversations with people all over the world. In person, I focus on live shows and meet-and-greets, because there’s no substitute for the energy of a shared performance and looking someone in the eyes after they’ve connected with your music.

WHAT ARE YOUR TOP TIPS FOR MANAGING YOUR TIME?

Time management comes down to priorities. I map out what truly moves the needle — recording, performing, and engaging with fans — and protect those hours. I also believe in setting aside time for rest and reflection because creativity needs space to breathe. Lastly, I rely on structure but stay flexible — music and entrepreneurship can be unpredictable, so adaptability is key.

Resilience & Community

CAN YOU HIGHLIGHT A SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE OR CHALLENGE IN YOUR ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY AND THE LESSONS LEARNED FROM IT?

As an immigrant, the biggest challenge was learning english so that I could even participate in the American market! It took a lot of time to go through the process of getting documentation so that I could be in America, a market that I had always dreamed of being a part of. It made me learn that resilience and being surrounded by people who love you can give you strength to never give up, even when you don’t want to.

AS A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSWOMAN, WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR OTHER WHO ARE ASPIRING ENTREPRENEURS OR LOOKING TO ADVANCE IN THEIR CAREERS?

Personally I realized needed to become part of a community of other creative people. You can’t wait for others to give you opportunities, you need to make them yourself. You really have to love what you are doing, because there is no guarantee you will succeed the way you originally planned in your head. The process and journey are what really matter.

WHAT INITIATIVES OR PROGRAMS DO YOU PARTICIPATE IN TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN IN YOUR COMMUNITY?

I am part of an amazing community called Latinas Acting Up (LAU), that is co-founded by Diana Maria Riva and Lisa Vidal and board members like Gina Torres, Constance Marie, Angelique Cabral, and over 200 other registered members. It is a group made to support Latinas in the entertainment industry to create an impact with our collective voices, raise our visibility and our community.

IN WHAT WAYS DO YOU ACTIVELY CONTRIBUTE TO BUILDING A SENSE OF COMMUNITY, BOTH IN YOUR PERSONAL LIFE AND THROUGH YOUR BUSINESS ENDEAVORS?

I try to be as real and honest as possible, both online and in person. I’m naturally a type A personality who wants everything to be perfect, but I’ve learned that sharing the full picture, the highs and the lows, is what truly builds connection. When people see the real you, it creates space for genuine community.

AS A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSWOMAN, WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR OTHER WHO ARE ASPIRING ENTREPRENEURS OR LOOKING TO ADVANCE IN THEIR CAREERS?

Start messy and figure it out as you go. That’s honestly my biggest piece of advice and something I’m still learning myself. I used to wait for the perfect moment, but it never really comes. My new mantra is, you don’t need all the answers, you just need to start. Be consistent, show up even when it’s uncomfortable, and stay true to what makes you different. That’s what’s going to set you apart.

LOOKING AHEAD, WHAT LEGACY DO YOU HOPE TO LEAVE FOR YOUR CHILDREN AND THE COMMUNITY, BOTH PERSONALLY AND PROFESSIONALLY?

Even though I’m not a mom yet, I hope my legacy inspires women to see what’s possible. You can start over, reinvent yourself, and create a life that feels good, not just one that looks good. I want people to remember that strength and softness can coexist, and that being driven and kind can go hand in hand.

Its innovative use of compression technology in select pieces is what set LAS apart in the world of loungewear. Compression offers benefits far beyond fashion—it promotes better circulation, reduces swelling during long travel days, and provides gentle support that helps the body feel energized and aligned. By integrating this feature into garments like leggings, socks, and travel-ready staples, LAS ensures that style is never at the expense of wellness. It’s a thoughtful detail that transforms comfort into a true performance benefit, making LAS not only a style choice but also a lifestyle investment.

Beyond clothing, LAS is about setting a new standard for how we view loungewear. The brand is committed to producing quality pieces with fabrics that are soft, durable, and made to last. But it’s also about creating a culture—one that encourages self-care, confidence, and embracing the beauty of looking your best. By redefining what it means to lounge, LAS isn’t just selling clothes; it’s shaping a modern lifestyle built on comfort, movement, and timeless style.

Maria Lozada: Timeless Artistry in Jewelry

The Joy of Creation For María Lozada, artistic creation is not a profession—But the essence of life. Her aesthetic trinkets are fueled by the joy of producing, by the deep fulfillment of bringing something handmade into existence, with mastery in every step of the process. Far from being motivated by the pursuit of sales or approval, Maria finds meaning in the challenge of pushing limits and achieving the ultimate in standards and excellence. Creation itself is her purpose, her greatest joy, and the foundation of her brand.

Rooted in Restoration. Before turning to jewelry, María built her career as an art restorer, specializing in works on paper. That discipline sharpened her eye for detail, trained her to respect the essence of every piece, and instilled in her an ethic of preserving rather than altering. Like a surgeon carefully rehabilitating weakened areas, her goal was always to respect and honor the original vision

of the artist without erasing its history. Through restoration, she developed a profound admiration for humanity’s ability to create beauty and utilize Renaissance Art as her greatest source of inspiration for its technical mastery and timeless perfection.

From Preservation to Creation. While restoration allowed her to safeguard the voices of past artists, jewelry became the medium through which María found her own. She felt the need to create something entirely her own—objects that would not only embody beauty but also carry her artistic voice. In jewelry, she discovered a natural extension of her training: the same discipline, attention to detail, and technical mastery, but now dedicated to shaping her own vision. From 3D design to wax modeling and casting, Maria masters every stage, ensuring that each piece is both technically precise and emotionally resonant.

A Vision for Women and Beauty. María Lozada’s Jewelry reflects her admiration for beauty and for women—their strength, sensitivity, and ability to unite many dimensions of life. Each piece is conceived as more than an ornament: it is a symbol of timeless artistry, a balance between delicacy and power, and a celebration of the infinite creative capacity of the human spirit. Her brand stands as an invitation to experience jewelry not only as luxury, but as art in its purest form.

The Rhythm of the Runway: How Precision and Passion Power Every Look

WHAT SYSTEMS OR STRATEGIES DO YOU USE TO KEEP A FASHION SHOW RUNNING SEAMLESSLY FROM START TO FINISH?

Think of a fashion show like a perfectly choreographed dance — every step, cue, and transition has to flow in sync. I’m all about structure and vibe. We start with a master production timeline that breaks down every detail, from call times to finale walks, and then build a team that communicates like a well-oiled machine. Backstage is usually buzzing with energy — steamers going, glam touch-ups happening, music checks — but because we’ve rehearsed and prepped, it all looks effortless to the audience. My secret weapon? Always having a “Plan B” (and a “Plan C”!) so nothing can throw us off our runway rhythm.

WHEN SELECTING MODELS, WHAT FACTORS DO YOU CONSIDER TO BEST REPRESENT THE MOOD AND MESSAGE OF THE COLLECTIONS?

Models are the storytellers of the runway — they’re not just wearing clothes, they’re bringing the vision to life. I look for people who embody the vibe of the collection — whether it’s bold and bossy, soft and romantic, or futuristic and fierce. Confidence is key, of course, but so is authenticity. I love casting a diverse lineup that reflects real beauty and personality because that’s what makes a show unforgettable. And honestly, when someone steps out and completely owns the runway… that’s when the magic happens.

WHAT ROLE DOES LIVE ENTERTAINMENT PLAY IN CREATING A MEMORABLE AND IMMERSIVE RUNWAY EXPERIENCE?

Oh, it’s everything. Live entertainment is the spark that takes a show from “great” to “OMG, I’ll never forget this.” The right performer, song, or dance moment instantly changes the energy in the room — it pulls the audience deeper into the story and makes the fashion feel alive. I’ve seen shows where a live violinist or a powerhouse vocalist literally gives people goosebumps. It’s all about creating a full sensory experience — where sight, sound, and style collide.

WHAT MOMENT IN YOUR CAREER HAS FELT MOST REWARDING— WHEN YOU KNEW YOUR SHOW TRULY INSPIRED THE AUDIENCE?

There was a show where, as soon as the finale walk ended, the whole room erupted — people were on their feet, cheering, clapping, filming, hugging each other. You could feel this electric mix of inspiration and emotion buzzing through the crowd. That’s when I realized fashion has the power to do so much more than showcase clothes — it can shift energy, spark creativity, and make people feel something real. In that moment, I knew we’d created an experience, not just a show… and that’s the magic I chase every single time.

IF YOU COULD GIVE ONE PIECE OF ADVICE TO EMERGING DESIGNERS ABOUT SHOWCASING THEIR WORK ON THE RUNWAY, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Go all in on your vision. Don’t water it down, don’t try to be someone else, and definitely don’t play it safe. The runway is your stage — your chance to make the world stop and pay attention. Be intentional about every

detail, from the models you cast to the music you choose, and let it all reflect who you are as a designer. And most importantly, have fun with it! When you’re excited about your work, the audience feels that energy too.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVOURITE MODERN DAY WIFE, MODERN DAY FASHION SHOW?

Our “What She Said” show at the W Hotel in Miami was truly unforgettable. The collections were some of my absolute favorites — bold, beautiful pieces that came to life on a runway led by the dream team of models who always show up and deliver, supported by an incredible group of women deeply committed to making the show shine. The energy backstage was so warm and collaborative, and you could feel how much everyone cared about creating something special. And the setting? Perfection. The show took place outside on the oceanfront patio, with the Miami breeze, sunset skies, and waves in the background — it felt like pure magic and made the entire experience one I’ll never forget.

The Spiritual Side of Success: How Staying True to Yourself Fuels Real Entrepreneurship

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR WOMEN WHO FIND IT CHALLENGING TO PRIORITIZE SELF-CARE WHILE MANAGING MULTIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES?

As you can see, self-care is something I am still learning. Self-care is more than just taking a vacation or a day off; it encompasses a broader range of activities. It means setting boundaries with people and situations that take more than they give, except for children and pets. As women, we’ve been conditioned to tolerate so much with little reciprocity, as if we are supposed to sacrifice our happiness to care for everyone. I am learning to invest only in relationships, situations, and work that replenish me spiritually, financially, and emotionally.

Take the step to reprioritize what you truly value, rather than dedicating time to obligations or ideas of success that do not serve you.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING IN YOUR CLOSET AND WHY?

My KORN black and gold overhead hoodie. As a cancer rising, I love being comfortable, and it’s very comfortable, and I like Korn.

AS A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSWOMAN, WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR OTHER WHO ARE ASPIRING ENTREPRENEURS OR LOOKING TO ADVANCE IN THEIR CAREERS?

When it comes to entrepreneurship, you must view entrepreneurship as a spiritual journey of selfdiscovery. Like life, there will be highs and lows; there will be moments when you question yourself and your self-worth. Sometimes, you may doubt yourself because of the images others portray and the constant projection people project onto you. When you’re authentically yourself, it sometimes triggers people who are not being true to themselves. You must remember that we live in an era where some people’s success is often built on superficiality and illusion. Don’t change who you are, evolve. Stay true to yourself and your beliefs. That’s all a part of the journey. You will outgrow and move on from people, friends, and family you thought were a part of your journey. The right people will see you for who you are and work with you, supporting you in your endeavors.

Additionally, there will be moments in your entrepreneurial journey where you may need to take on a job, a 9-5, a client that’s not ideal, and that’s okay. You’re not taking a step back; you’re just taking a detour to learn and connect with new people who might be a part of your spiritual development. Remember, this is a journey, not a race to the top. You’re not going to figure it out all at once and all the time.

Once, my son developed a fever at 5 am during Memorial Day weekend (Keep in mind a holiday weekend). I was able to contact Dr. Sherman within minutes, and he did a house call within the hour. Most urgent care centers or pediatrician offices don’t open until 9 am, and even later on weekends. As a parent, 9 am can feel like mid-day. It was comforting to speak with the doctor as soon as my son felt sick. Dr. Sherman maintained constant contact and was easily reachable through the app - it felt like texting your doctor at any time. This type of pediatric service was greatly needed in LA. Having Dr. J on my team as a parent brings me much peace of mind.

HOW DO YOU MEASURE SUCCESS IN YOUR ROLES AS A WIFE, MOTHER, BUSINESSWOMAN, AND COMMUNITY BUILDER?

For me, success isn’t about titles or achievements. To me it is all about connection. Staying connected to my husband as his partner, to my kids as their mom, and to the people I’m called to serve through business and community. Because true success is when the people around me feel connected loved, seen, and valued.

WITH TECHNOLOGY AND SOCIAL MEDIA, HOW DO YOU USE THE INTERNET TO HELP YOUR BUSINESS, AND WHAT’S SOMETHING YOU DO TO CONNECT WITH PEOPLE IN PERSON?

From the start, we shared our story. We were looking for a place like The Hive, and that’s why we created it. Through technology and social media, we’ve been able to share that vision authentically, kicking fear in the face and daring

to be misunderstood in order to cut through the noise and find the people who are truly looking for us.

And that’s exactly what’s happened. People have come to The Hive not just to get fit, but to heal from the inside out. Whether it is healing from chronic disease, cancer diagnosis, or depression. They’ve found a community that accepts them as they are while also calling them higher, giving them the support to accomplish things they never imagined possible.

From the very beginning, we knew it was about more than building a gym. It was about creating an out-of-this-world experience that draws people in and drops them into an environment where they can go to the next level in their health.

That’s why The Hive is more than a gym-it’s a sn experience where people feel accepted and also called higher. They sign-up & to things they never thought possible. Whether it’s finishing a Spartan race, competing in Hyrox, stepping on a stage, losing 50 lbs or simply reclaiming their health, we get to walk it out together.

IN WHAT WAYS DO YOU ACTIVELY CONTRIBUTE TO BUILDING A SENSE OF COMMUNITY, BOTH IN YOUR PERSONAL LIFE AND THROUGH YOUR BUSINESS ENDEAVORS?

Keep God at the center of everything you do and stay anchored to a why that’s bigger than yourself. On the toughest days, that deeper purpose will compel you to take action. Daily taking action to make the call, show up to the meeting, or step into the room with confidence.

When Art Meets

Ambition: How Kenzie Rich Built a Brand on Confidence and Courage

AS A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSWOMAN, WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR OTHER WHO ARE ASPIRING ENTREPRENEURS OR LOOKING TO ADVANCE IN THEIR CAREERS?

We’ve all heard the term “starving artist.” It’s rare to find success in a creative field... to pay your bills, balance your home life, and still stay true to your art. But I’ve learned that creativity and business don’t have to exist separately. The moment I began treating my creativity like a business, with structure, systems, and boundaries, everything changed.

My advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is this: don’t wait for someone else to validate your worth. Decide that your work already holds value, and build from there. Stay consistent, even when growth feels slow, and keep learning long after you feel “ready.” Success rarely belongs to the most talented person in the room; it belongs to the one who refuses to give up.

Most importantly, never lose sight of why you started. When you lead with authenticity, passion, and purpose, the right clients and opportunities will naturally align with you.

CAN YOU HIGHLIGHT A SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE OR CHALLENGE IN YOUR ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY AND THE LESSONS LEARNED FROM IT?

Back in 2022, I was laid off from my job and replaced by AI, (yes, that’s happening.) In that moment, I had a choice to make: continue working for someone else, always hitting a ceiling, or finally take control of my own career. Of course, the doubts came rushing in — What if I fail? What if I can’t handle running my own business?

But that was the moment I decided to bet on myself. I chose to believe that I had what it takes to build something meaningful and sustainable... something that reflected who I truly am. That decision changed everything.

The biggest lesson I learned was that fear and uncertainty don’t disappear when you take a leap, you just learn to move forward anyway. And once you do, you realize that believing in yourself isn’t just motivational talk; it’s the foundation of every successful venture.

LOOKING AHEAD, WHAT LEGACY DO YOU HOPE TO LEAVE FOR YOUR CHILDREN AND THE COMMUNITY, BOTH PERSONALLY AND PROFESSIONALLY?

A huge part of my “why” is helping women find the confidence they often struggle to see in themselves, especially in front of the camera. For most of my life, I battled with my own insecurities about being photographed, always wishing there was someone who could show me how to feel empowered instead of exposed.

Today, I get to be that person for other women. Through my photography, I hope to create more than beautiful images, I want to create experiences that remind women of their strength, their beauty, and their worth.

My legacy, both personally and professionally, is to leave behind a community of women who feel seen, celebrated, and confident in who they are, not just in photos, but in life.
