The Most Improved award goes to the player who made the most improvement to their Handicap from the first day of the season to the last day of the season. This is calculated by a USGA’s Handicap System.
The lowest aggregate Net score to par in events where the golf shop posts scores will be the champion.
This award goes to the player who played the most 9-Hole League rounds throughout the season.
This award goes to the player who played the most league rounds in their first year playing in the league.
The Front 9 Ringer Board takes each player’s best Net score on each hole on the Front 9 throughout the season and combines them onto one scorecard. The player(s) with the lowest overall score at the end of the season is the winner.
The Back 9 Ringer Board takes each player’s best Net score on each hole on the Back 9 throughout the season and combines them onto one scorecard. The player(s) with the lowest overall score at the end of the season is the winner.
The maximum hole score for any hole is a net double bogey. Your net double bogey score is: Double Bogey + Any Handicap strokes you receive Your net double bogey score
If you do not finish a hole, or the best score you can make is a Net double bogey, please put an “X” for your score and a Net double bogey will automatically be entered as your score.
Posting League Rounds: The golf shop will post all league rounds that can be posted. Events that the golf shop posts scores for will be noted on the format sheet that week.
Posting Non-League Scores on GHIN: When posting scores, it is recommended that you use the “HOLE-BY-HOLE” option. This will allow you to enter your score on each hole, and the GHIN system will automatically adjust any holes where you scored more than a Net double bogey. If you post your score by using the “TOTAL SCORE” option, you must ensure the maximum score you are taking on a hole is a Net double bogey.
The top of the green stripe on the flagstick marks the two-foot gimme distance. If a golf ball comes to rest entirely within this green zone, it qualifies as a gimmie.
Golf balls coming to rest inside the Gimmie Zone should be picked up and one stroke added to your score.
To measure a gimmie, place the end of the flagstick at the edge of the hole. For a ball to count as a gimmie, the entire ball must be completely inside the green stripe.
