2025 Minikahda Women’s 18-Hole League

League Mission

The Women’s 18-Hole League provides an inclusive environment for fun and friendly golf competition. The League serves to connect Minikahda Members and build relationships that last.

Season-Long Awards

Leslie Turner Player of the Year

Honoring a long-time 18-Hole League member and 12-time club champion, Leslie embodied the best of women's golf: graciousness, good sportsmanship, and a passion for the game. League members will vote on the Leslie Turner Player of the Year Award for the player who best exemplifies these qualities.

Net Ringer Board

The Net Ringer Board takes each player’s best Net score on each hole throughout the season and combines them onto one scorecard. The player(s) with the lowest overall score at the end of the season is the winner.

Gross Ringer Board

The Gross Ringer Board takes each player’s best Gross score on each hole throughout the season and combines them onto one scorecard. The player(s) with the lowest overall score at the end of the season is the winner.

Birdie Glasses

The Birdie Board is back for 2025! For your first Gross birdie, you make during League play, you’ll receive two specially designed wine glasses. Every additional two birdies will get you another glass with a maximum of four glasses per player. The Golf Staff will keep the official record, but please post your birdies on the board in the women’s locker room.

Most Improved

The Most Improved award goes to the player who made the most improvement to their Handicap from the first day of the season to the last day of the season. This is calculated by a USGA’s Handicap System.

Maximum Score Per Hole

The maximum hole score for any hole is a net double bogey. Your net double bogey score is:

Double Bogey + Any Handicap strokes you receive Your net double bogey score

If you do not finish a hole, or the best score you can make is a Net double bogey, please put an “X” for your score and a Net double bogey will automatically be entered for your score.

Posting League Rounds: The golf shop will post all league rounds that can be posted. Events that the golf shop posts scores for will be noted on the format sheet that week.

Posting Non-League Scores on GHIN: When posting scores, it is recommended that you use the “HOLE-BY-HOLE” option. This will allow you to enter your score on each hole, and the GHIN system will automatically adjust any holes where you scored more than a Net double bogey. If you post your score by using the “TOTAL SCORE” option, you must ensure the maximum score you are taking on a hole is a Net double bogey.

Gimmie Zone

The top of the green stripe on the flagstick marks the two-foot gimme distance. If a golf ball comes to rest entirely within this green zone, it qualifies as a gimmie.

Golf balls coming to rest inside the Gimmie Zone should be picked up and one strock added to your score.

To measure a gimmie, place the end of the flagstick at the edge of the hole. For a ball to count as a gimmie, the entire ball must be completely inside the green stripe.
