KLOTHO Klotho was the youngest daughter of the 3 Faiths. She was the one who decided the present of each human according to the myth. She sewed their destiny until death. Alexandra Theohari, loyal to the story of her country, mythology as well as Art in general, she decided to follow the steps of her grandmother and create in the island of Crete her own workshop, making her dream come true. The colorful threads, the golden stitches, the artistic patterns even the sound of her grandmother’s loom are so memorable and lead her to take the big step. “Klotho” brings Cretan woven to life again, though some people believed that it was out of fashion. Simple lines, geometrical patterns inspired by Greek and Cretan mythology with minimal influences of Classic Greece’s simplicity. “Klotho” creations are for those who love and appreciate the meaning of handmade, but also for those who visit Greece and want to find the authentic Greek creation. Clear Greek cotton, leather from local tanneries as well as cooperation with the best Greek industries in order to achieve the best result in the sewing and finish of the cloth. The patterns of the clothes and accessories of “Klotho” originate from books and albums of museums and collections that are then examined and fiddled by Alexandra without changing anything of their character. She spends hours of color matching in order to reach a final decision. The final stage is the weaving with the loom.
