849 TESTAROSSA
Ferrari has unveiled its latest sports car, the 849 Testarossa, to international press and clients. The car, which replaces the SF90 Stradale in the range, is a hybrid plug-in super sports berlinetta equipped with three electric motors alongside the mid-rear twin-turbo V8, delivering a total of 1050 cv, 50 more than the car it replaces.
The 849 Testarossa takes its place at the top of Ferrari’s range thanks to its performance, its ability to thrill the driver without ever compromising ride comfort or interior refinement, as well as its futuristic yet deeply historically rooted design. This car is conceived for the most demanding clients; those who want the very best from a Ferrari. It is also the reason for the return of a legendary name in Maranello’s history, Testa Rossa, which was first used on the 500 TR in 1956 to describe the colour of the cam covers of some of Ferrari’s most extreme, high-performance and iconic racing engines, before being used as a name for one of the marque’s most famous road-going models, the 1984 Testarossa.
The heart of the 849 Testarossa revolves around its twin-turbo eight-cylinder internal combustion engine, part of the family of engines that received multiple International Engine of the Year awards. The unit has been completely re-engineered to reach new performance peaks (a remarkable 830 cv of maximum power) and is combined with an advanced hybrid system derived from Ferrari’s unmatched motorsport experience. Among the most prominent innovations is the new turbo, the largest ever for a Ferrari production car, enabling unprecedented acceleration. The hybrid group, consisting of a rear electric motor and two units installed on the front axle, is capable of delivering 220 cv. The on-demand four-wheel drive system and torque vectoring maximize performance in all conditions.
To enhance its dynamic qualities and the driver feedback at the limit, the 849 Testarossa is equipped (in addition to the latest generation brake-by-wire system) with Ferrari’s ABS Evo controller, which improves braking precision and consistency in all conditions, along with the new braking system. The spring and damper set-up has been completely revised for improved behaviour at the limit of grip. Extensive component weight reduction has allowed the 849 Testarossa to boast the best power-to-weight ratio ever for a range model, since the enormous performance increase has not resulted in any additional weight compared to the SF90 Stradale.
From a styling point of view as well, the 849 Testarossa marks a revolution in the concept of a Ferrari V8 midrear berlinetta: the inspiration taken from 1970s Sports Prototypes, together with sharp and geometric lines, creates a unique and timeless design. The synergy between form and function has enabled impressive aerodynamic performance: the total downforce of 415 kg at 250 km/h represents a 25 kg increase over the SF90 Stradale as well as providing a 15% boost in cooling power for the powertrain and brakes.
The cockpit is even more enveloping and ergonomic than before: the central sail motif with the integrated gear-change gate, inspired by the F80, improves the positioning of components and makes them more accessible. The new steering wheel, equipped with mechanical buttons (including the iconic engine start button), elevates the driving experience while maintaining the high functionality of the latest-generation Ferrari steering wheels. Finally, a new HMI system makes interaction with the car even simpler and more intuitive.
POWERTRAIN

On the Road
engine combined with three electric motors, a high-voltage battery, and an inverter that together deliver a total output of 220 cv. This system brings the total power of the powertrain up to 1050 cv, an absolute record for a production Ferrari. The architecture of the 849 Testarossa’s plug-in hybrid powertrain has been designed to ensure maximum performance, vehicle dynamics, and usability.
INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
The 849 Testarossa’s internal combustion engine (project code F154FC) is the latest version of Ferrari’s multi-award-winning twin-turbo V8. It produces 830 cv with a specific output of 208 cv/l, marking a 50 cv increase compared to the previous iteration. This achievement was made while maintaining the same displacement and completely revising the components, including the all-new turbocharger, cylinder heads, engine block, exhaust manifolds, intake plenums, titanium fasteners, valve train system, and fuel rail.
A new, larger turbocharger has been adopted with F80-derived low-friction bearings and an innovative heat shield on the turbine casing inspired by the 296 GT3 to improve thermal management in the engine compartment. The compressor wheels and the turbine have been optimized in terms of materials and aerodynamics, and a refined calibration strategy has been introduced, all to minimise turbo lag and maintain the responsiveness of the engine. The intercooler has been optimised in order to manage the increase in power and improve thermal efficiency.
The increase in engine power was achieved without any significant weight penalty thanks to machining inspired by racing engines, lightening of the camshafts and the adoption of titanium screws, improving the weight/power ratio by almost 10% compared to the SF90 Stradale.
The Inconel® exhaust manifold sees the diameter of the ducts increase by 20% and its length by 10% to improve the performance and provide the timbre typical of the Ferrari sound. The adoption of a flexible Inconel joint manages extremely high temperatures without increasing weight. The exhaust system integrates GPFs and a new generation ceramic matrix for the catalysers, which keep the layout unchanged while complying with regulatory requirements without any significant increase in mass.
The 849 Testarossa, for the first time on a Prancing Horse range car, has also introduced the use of recycled aluminium secondary alloys for engine castings (cylinder head, crankcase and sump) reducing CO₂ emissions per kilogram of aluminium used by a maximum of 80%, which equates to a reduction of up to 0.4 ton of CO₂ equivalent per car.
ELECTRIC MOTORS AND HYBRID SYSTEM
The 849 Testarossa adopts a PHEV architecture derived from the SF90 Stradale, combining the V8 internal combustion engine with three electric motors for a total power of 220 hp. Two of them are located on the front axle and make up the RAC-e (electronic cornering setup regulator) system which enables the 4WD system and torque vectoring to maximise traction and efficiency when exiting corners. The third electric motor, the MGU-K (Motor Generator Unit, Kinetic), is positioned on the rear axle and derives directly from the Scuderia’s experience in Formula 1.
The entire system has been revised to improve performance and driving comfort, with an optimised calibration to work in synergy with the internal-combustion engine. The control system also integrates a new active damping function aimed at regularizing the engine idle, improving the transition between the thermal and

electrical operating phases. The cooling maps of the electric motors have been optimised, ensuring a higher thermal efficiency of 10-12 °C. This keeps the electric performance consistent for a longer period, even under conditions of intensive use.
The regeneration strategy under braking has been revised to improve pedal feel even more, making pedal travel even smoother and more effective. The regenerative intervention is more progressive and natural, further improving the consistency between electrical and hydraulic deceleration. The battery and electric motor management strategies are calibrated according to the four electric driving modes that can be selected via the eManettino — eDrive, Hybrid, Performance and Qualify — optimising performance in all conditions. In eDrive mode, the car can travel up to 25 km in electric drive only thanks to the 7.45 kWh lithium-ion battery which is installed in the chassis to ensure a low centre of gravity and optimal weight balance.
SOUND
The 849 Testarossa introduces a new sonic dimension that reflects the essence of the car, with a powerful and pure character. The timbre of the new V8 turbo has been optimised to ensure a recognisable acoustic signature

in all driving conditions, while preserving the distinctive harmonics of Ferrari’s V8.
The sound level has been increased at all speeds, with particular attention to the richness and purity of the sound in the low and mid ranges. The goal was to enhance the bright tones of the noble orders of combustion (multiples of order 2) in acceleration. Moving up towards the limiter set at 8300 rpm, the power of the powertrain manifests itself explosively, with an immersive experience involving sound, acceleration and vibration, emphasized by the flat crankshaft architecture.
The new gear shift strategy, inherited from the SF90 XX Stradale, has been revised to generate an even more exciting sound during upshifts in press-on driving. This effect has been achieved through a new engine calibration that works in synergy with the gearbox control logic, optimising the sequence of actuations and the pressure in the combustion chamber to maximise sound intensity during lift off. The content is active from medium loads and revs, returning the effect of a racing shift with a characteristic timbre of the engine on the over-run. The shifting becomes even more extreme from the ‘Race’ position of the Manettino forward.
AERODYNAMICS
The main objectives of the 849 Testarossa’s aerodynamic design were to optimise thermal performance and increase downforce, drawing inspiration and reference from historical and contemporary racing solutions, such as those seen on the 512 S, the 512 M and the FXX-K. The 849 Testarossa generates a total load of 415 kg at 250 km/h, an increase of 25 kg compared to the SF90 Stradale, while cooling performance improves by 15%.
The volume of the bodywork flanks has been optimised to increase the amount of air flowing to the intercoolers by 30%. A channel has been scooped out in the door to feed the lower portion of the intercooler, while the lower surface of the duct is equipped with a blow that allows the boundary layer to be captured. The side air intake trim wraps around the bodywork up to the sill cover and has a profiled shape with an upper auxiliary inlet to maximise the air flow to the radiating masses. The side inlet, in addition to the intercooler, also feeds the rear brake duct and the engine intake.
The front underfloor, responsible for 35% of the total downforce, has been completely redesigned: three pairs of cascading vortex generators maximise outwash and
On the Road
intake, guaranteeing a 20% increase in downforce compared to the SF90 Stradale. The excavation upstream of the side louvres and the relative nolder contribute to the extraction of the hot flow from the front compartment and reduce the compression on the front face of the tyre, decreasing drag.
The squarer front bumper has integrated bumperettes that help increase the airflow to the front air intakes and generate vorticity useful for extracting the flow from the wheel arch. The splitter (also larger in size) incorporates a flick, inspired by the SF90 XX Stradale, responsible for 10% of the front downforce.
The rear adopts a twin-tail architecture inspired by the 512 S, with two wing sections (called twin tail) that exploit the high-energy flow that laps the top of the muscular rear wheelarches to generate 10% of the downforce at the rear. The active rear spoiler, derived from that of the SF90 Stradale and the 296 GTB, is integrated into the bodywork and actioned by a kinematic solution that is 2 kg lighter. It is capable of switching between Low Drag and High Downforce configurations in less than a second. In High Downforce configuration, it helps to generate up to 100 kg of downforce at 250 km/h, working in synergy with the passive elements of the tail.
The rear underbody adopts a multi-level diffuser with a suspended lower element and vertical fences that allow the wheel wake to be isolated. A pair of vortex generators with an oversized chord maximizes expansion at the height of the rear axle. The downforce generated by the rear underfloor is aligned with that of the SF90 Stradale, with a 10% reduction in drag.

Clip, 1961
Yellow gold, rubies, turquoise, diamonds
Van Cleef & Arpels Collection
The end of the 1950s at Van Cleef & Arpels was marked by the use of ornamental stones. In the heart of this clip’s blooming petals lies a turquoise setting, a particularly noteworthy stone. Revered for its vibrance and depth, this gem is paired with yellow gold, creating a striking contrast that enhances the floral elements. This association not only exemplifies the artistry of the jeweler but also reflects a broader appreciation for color and nature-inspired themes.

Les Jardins High Jewellery collection
Van Cleef & Arpels Collection
The Omikuji necklace was imagined in 2008 for Les Jardins High Jewelry collection. The shape of the branches and leaves in soft pink hues recall the peaceful Japanese gardens. A green ribbon, made of tsavorite garnets, seems to flow in the wind. The name of the creation, Omikuji, offers a clue as to its significance: a Japanese tradition whereby a fortune is written on a paper slip and then tied to a tree or fence. This poetic scene captures motion, beauty and luck – themes often explored by the Maison.
ICE CUBE HAUTE JOAILLERIE SCULPTED BY LIGHT

“Ice Cube has always represented purity and precision,” says Caroline Scheufele, Co-President and Artistic Director of Chopard. “But here, we pushed its language even further – into volume, movement, and expression. I wanted the pieces to feel wearable yet unexpected, like modern art for the body.”

A bold, transformational collection centrepiece
At the heart of the collection lies a one-of-a-kind modular necklace, composed of articulated cube rows in a mix of ethical rose and white gold. Nine rows in total create a dynamic silhouette, which can be removed in sets of three to suit the moment. This modular design nods to the stacking nature of Ice Cube rings and bangles, but with fluidity, scale and a commanding presence. Across the necklace, two different cube sizes and heights add further dimension, some mirror-polished while others are paved with diamond brilliants, applied in alternating rhythms to evoke a sense of movement.
Sparkling skyline silhouettes
Bracelets and a multifunctional pin echo the collection’s architectural codes through cubes of varying heights, in a nod to a city skyline where towers of glass and steel shimmer under shifting light. These pieces conjure the energy of a megacity at sunrise, their mirror-polished surfaces gleaming like sunlit windows. Executed with precision, this effect demands exceptional savoir-faire, as polishing uneven surfaces is a rare skill mastered by few, and even more rarely achieved in-house.
Crafted with the same meticulous attention, three new bracelets are available in three- or six-row variations, in ethical rose or white gold, either partially or fully diamond-set. The pin, offered in matching metal and

setting options, brings a bold, gender-fluid versatility, designed to be worn across lapels, collars, ties or even hairstyles.
Refined Art Deco geometry
A hallmark of the Art Deco era, the Asscher cut finds bold new expression in two standout creations. A ring reprises the collection’s iconic multi-band shape, featuring an impressive 3-carat Asscher-cut diamond placed diagonally across two parallel bands of 18-carat ethical white gold set with diamond brilliants. Echoing this architectural elegance, a pair of earrings features 1.2-carat Asscher-cut diamond solitaires, each backed by a fluid line of 14 diamond-set cubes. The latter can be removed on one or both sides, allowing for asymmetrical or more minimalist styling.
In both creations, the octagonal lines of the central diamonds, paired with the graphic construction of the surrounding cubes reinforces and extends the clean, structured geometry that is a signature of the Ice Cube collection’s aesthetic.
A new, reflective chapter Sculpted by Light
In 2024, Chopard reinterpreted its iconic cube motif into a first capsule collection crafted by its Haute Joaillerie atelier. Since then, Bella Hadid has embodied the Ice Cube spirit as the face of the Sculpted by Light

campaign, shot by Charlotte Wales. In this latest chapter, she brings the new Haute Joaillerie creations to life against a dreamlike cityscape; a backdrop that mirrors the collection’s exploration of architecture, geometry, reflection, and self-expression.
True to the Maison’s values, the new Ice Cube designs are crafted from 18-carat ethical gold, aligning with Chopard’s Journey to Sustainable Luxury – as are all the watches and jewellery produced by Chopard since July 2018. The mirror-polished cubes refract the world around them, with an intensity that belies their apparent simplicity. Subtle variations within and across pieces highlight the Maison’s exceptional technical mastery. Achieving such flawless finishes and intricate diamond settings on uneven miniature surfaces is a feat only few can accomplish.
These are Ice Cubes that don’t melt – but they do dazzle!

HUBLOT AND DANIEL ARSHAM UNVEIL
THE MP-17 ARSHAM SPLASH: A FLUID EVOLUTION OF ARTISTIC HOROLOGY
Pioneering Swiss luxury watchmaker Hublot has announced the latest evolution in its ongoing partnership with celebrated American artist and Hublot Ambassador, Daniel Arsham: the Hublot MP-17 MECA-10 Arsham Splash Titanium Sapphire.

Following the success of the transformable pocket watch, the MP-16 Arsham Droplet, this new timepiece once again rewrites the rulebook on watch design, finding its inspiration in the dynamic essence of water, organic forms and transparency.
The MP-17 Meca-10 Arsham Splash Titanium Sapphire is the perfect blend of Hublot’s Art of Fusion and Arsham’s unique fictional archaeology vision, where he reimagines contemporary objects as ancient artefacts, blurring the lines between past, present and future.
Arsham’s first wristwatch design for Hublot, the timepiece is a wearable sculpture with Arsham’s creative direction dripping from every fluid curve. The compact 42mm case size has been made possible through the integration of Hublot’s new, smaller Meca-10, an in-house manual-wind movement that can be seen through the dial opening and sapphire caseback.
The choice of sapphire crystal – used for the frosted box-shaped bezel – titanium and rubber as the raw materials underpins the essence of Art of Fusion and has provided the perfect base to sculpt the watch’s organic shapes that are inspired by flowing water. The defining feature is a striking splash-shaped opening on the dial, which is a direct evolution from the MP-16’s droplet inspiration.
““Working with Daniel Arsham is a discovery of new design and perception,” says Julien Tornare, CEO of Hublot.
“The MP-17 Meca-10 Arsham Splash Titanium Sapphire represents the next exciting chapter in our collaboration with our ambassador, artist Daniel Arsham. It’s a testament to Hublot’s Art of Fusion, seamlessly blending fine watchmaking and art to create a timepiece that is visually stunning whilst pushing the boundaries of innovation. This watch invites us to see time in a new light, through Arsham’s unique and fluid vision.
Arsham’s view of time is central to his design approach. In his 2016 TED Talk, he explained, “My work is about collapsing time. You’re not quite sure if it’s an object from the past or the future.” While the MP-16 Arsham Droplet brought that concept to life through form, the new MP-17 Meca-10 Arsham Splash Titanium Sapphire focuses on how time leaves an impression. With its fluid case lines, splash-shaped dial opening, and transparent sapphire components, it blends Arsham’s artistic vision with Hublot’s Meca-10 movement to deliver both concept and performance in a wearable design.
At first sight the watch seems to be a departure from the familiar Hublot form, yet on closer in-

spection, all of the signature elements are there including the six H-screws on the bezel and caseback, the distinctive lugs at 3 and 9 o’clock and the titanium H-shaped folding clasp. Arsham green accents are found on the hour and minute hands, the numerals, the hour and five-minute markers, the small seconds hand at 9 o’clock and on the power reserve indicator at 3 o’clock.
The Hublot MP-17 Meca-10 Arsham Splash Titanium Sapphire is more than a timekeeper; it is a fusion of fine watchmaking and contemporary art, placing a twist on conventional materials and form. It invites collectors and art enthusiasts alike to experience time through Daniel Arsham’s unique, fluid lens.
“Daniel Arsham adds, “This collaboration with Hublot explores the fluidity of time through a case inspired by the perfect geometry of a water droplet, crafted using Hublot’s Meca-10 movement. The watch’s transparent structure captures the clarity and motion of water, suspended, precise, and always in flux.”

Limited to only 99 pieces, the Hublot MP-17 Meca10 Arsham Splash Titanium Sapphire is available at Hublot boutiques and authorized retailers.

Phase one of the launch includes the debut of SLS, EDITION, and InterContinental hotels, along with Shura Links, Saudi Arabia’s first island golf course. This moment marks a major milestone for RSG as it continues making Vision 2030’s ambitions for national transformation and economic diversification a reality for the people of Saudi Arabia, as well as demonstrating the possibility of regenerative tourism.
Escape Diaries
Shura Island will eventually be home to 11 worldclass resorts, all of which will open across the next few months. Red Sea International Airport (RSI), which is situated within three hours’ flying time of 250 million people and eight hours’ flying time for 85% of the world’s population, is the gateway to The Red Sea destination. It is already welcoming a regular schedule of domestic and international flights. Most recently it was announced that Qatar Airways will operate direct flights to RSI three times a week from next month, with further air lift expected to be announced soon.
A trio of world-class hospitality brands The following resorts will welcome first guests in the coming weeks:

With the soft opening of Shura in the coming weeks, we move closer to achieving our mission to set new standards in regenerative tourism, while realizing Vision 2030,” said John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global.
Looking ahead, the remaining eight resorts are on track to open in the coming months. This includes: Faena; Fairmont; Four Seasons; Grand Hyatt; Jumeirah; Miraval; Raffles; and Rosewood.
Naturally dolphin-shaped, Shura Island is the vibrant heart of The Red Sea. The overarching design concept, developed by world-renowned architects Foster + Partners, is affectionately known as ‘Coral Bloom’ due to the inspiration the surrounding coral reefs give to the architecture.
The resorts on Shura have been conceived to blend seamlessly with the island’s pristine environment. The development is carefully engineered to minimize environmental impact and maximize energy efficiency. For instance, like the rest of The Red Sea, Shura is entirely powered by renewable energy.
As well as resorts, Shura Island is the setting for a collection of exclusive homes. The first properties available to buy on the island were announced earlier this year and will be ready for handover at the end of 2025. Residents will have access to all of the island’s entertainments, as well as its pristine beaches and azure waters, while also offering seamless access to the wider destination and iconic resorts.

The Kingdom’s first island golf course
Shura Links will also open in September, offering a world-class golfing experience that combines challenge, design, and sustainability. As Saudi Arabia’s first island golf course, Shura Links offers spectacular views and a course designed to blend natural desert landscapes with lush fairways. Sustainability is a key focus, with innovative water management and eco-friendly practices integral to its design and operation. Easily accessible from all Shura Island resorts, as well available to guests and residents at other resorts at The Red Sea, it promises an unforgettable golfing experience in a pristine coastal setting.

On Saudi Arabia’s northwestern coast, where desert mountains meet the turquoise waters of the Red Sea, a new icon is taking shape. AMAALA, the ultra-luxury destination developed by Red Sea Global, is set to become the world’s most exclusive year-round yachting haven — a warm-weather alternative to Europe’s seasonal sailing circuit, and the stage for sailing’s most prestigious finale, The Ocean Race, in 2027.
For centuries, the Red Sea served as a maritime crossroads, its winds and currents guiding trade, exploration, and cultural exchange. Today, that heritage is being reimagined for a new era at AMAALA. At its heart lies Triple Bay Marina, a natural harbor with 116 berths for yachts up to 140m, alongside the AMAALA Yacht Club,
designed by HKS as a beacon of maritime elegance. Against a backdrop of pristine coral reefs and protected marine habitats, the marina will host competitive regattas, welcome superyachts, and offer world-class facilities for leisure sailors. Strengthening this vision is the AMAALA sailing academy, dedicated to training and inspiring the next generation of sailors, ensuring the Red Sea remains a stage for maritime excellence well into the future.
Sailing at AMAALA is not just about performance, but also purpose. The Corallium Marine Life Institute will be a global hub for marine research and education, with a vision to increase biodiversity in the Red Sea by 30% by 2040. For those who venture to AMAALA, each voyage offers an encounter with nature and a reminder of the sea’s resilience.

Already, AMAALA is making its presence felt on the world stage. TEAM AMAALA, skippered by Swiss sailor Alan Roura, is competing in The Ocean Race Europe 2025, a campaign that reflects shared values of endurance, teamwork, and regeneration. This is only the beginning. In 2027, AMAALA will host the Grand Finale of The Ocean Race, bringing the legendary round-the-world challenge to the Red Sea for the first time in history.
AMAALA is more than a sailing venue; it is a new frontier for luxury travel, rooted in heritage yet looking firmly to the future. With pristine waters, year-round warmth, and a commitment to preserving and enhancing its natural environment, AMAALA is set to redefine what it means to live and sail by the Red Sea.

LEGENDARY LONDON MEMBERS’ CLUB
ANNABEL’S RETURNS TO ALULA FOR REFINED CULINARY POP-UP
The ancient oasis of AlUla will once again play host to one of the world’s most storied private members’ clubs, as London’s Annabel’s returns for an exclusive pop-up dining and entertainment experience.
From 17th October to 13th December, guests will be invited to step into a world where London’s glamour meets AlUla’s elegance, as Annabel’s brings its signature flair and luxury service to one of the most breathtaking destinations in the region.
Founded over 60 years ago in London’s Mayfair, Annabel’s has long been synonymous with sophistication and delectable dining. Its Grade I listed Georgian mansion at 46 Berkeley Square remains a global icon of luxury hospitality. In AlUla, the legendary club will reinterpret its vision within a new setting, where the desert’s timeless beauty merges with the cosmopolitan spirit of Annabel’s.
Set amid dramatic sandstone cliffs, the AlUla pop-up will offer refined gastronomy and lively evenings, with a DJ infusing the desert nights with rhythm and energy. Guests can indulge in two distinctive menus — a signature selection and a wellness-inspired offering that complements AlUla Wellness Festival, which will be held from 24th October to 1st November.
The AlUla Wellness Festival is an annual celebration of holistic living rooted in the natural landscapes of this ancient destination. This year’s programme brings together world-class athletic challenges such as the AlUla Duathlon and the Ashar Valley Tri, alongside a nine-day yoga immersion event and nourishing cuisine served at Annabel’s, creating a well-rounded space for balance, growth and rejuvenation.
On Annabel’s wellness menu, expect healthful dishes such as tuna tartare with mango and grape ponzu, and wild sea bass with sauce vierge and kalamata olives, alongside delicate vegetarian creations like Romano pepper gemista and aubergine baba ghanoush with feta and jalapeno honey. To finish, dessert offers a light and refreshing twist on tradition with an exotic Eton Mess and a seasonal fresh fruit platter. For those seeking something more indulgent, the signature menu presents heartier favourites, including king prawn saganaki in a rich tomato sauce, lamb chops with crispy garlic and parsley pesto, and Annabel’s signature Paccheri pasta with Parmesan, tomato, basil and chilli.
Guests can also enjoy a range of inventive mocktails, from the elegant Belli-no, a sparkling peach creation, and the London Dry, a bright Elderflower and tonic water concoction, to the refreshing Clean Margarita, infused with chilli reduction, hibiscus, lime and a Tajin rim. Other highlights include the fizzy and floral Rose Petal Spritz and the citrus-forward, tea-based Easy Paloma.
Annabel’s in AlUla is made even more extraordinary by its setting within one of AlUla’s most important heritage landmarks, Jabal Ikmah. Often referred to as AlUla’s ‘open-air library’, the site is etched with hundreds of inscriptions and petroglyphs left by ancient civilisations that once lived in and passed through AlUla. The site has even gained UNESCO recognition for historical significance with its induction into their Memory of the World Register.
As the sun dips below the horizon and the desert sky ignites with stars, this magical site and the incredible untouched surroundings will transform Annabel’s into an intimate stage for culinary excellence and unforgettable evenings.

THE TEA ROOM
by M ajed G aroub
In the heart of Rome stands the Antico Caffè Greco, established in 1760 a testament to centuries of cultural life. Under its roof, poets, thinkers, and artists such as Goethe, Keats, and Rossini once gathered. This café was not just a place to sip a cup of tea or coffee; it was a space for the exchange of ideas and the creation of art, becoming an integral part of Rome’s cultural fabric. When threatened with eviction due to rent disputes, it was not viewed as a commercial property dispensable for profit but as a cultural monument of priceless value. Italy’s Ministry of Culture intervened to grant it full legal protection covering not only its walls and possessions but also its name, history, and the rights of those who have preserved its identity over generations. Italy demonstrated that the law can be a fortress of memory, a shield of culture, and a guarantor of justice. Preserving heritage, it showed, is inseparable from safeguarding those who maintain it.
This model resonates with the historic and cultural renaissance led by Saudi Arabia under the leadership of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The Kingdom’s approach to heritage has shifted from merely architectural or touristic concerns to recognizing it as a civilizational legacy that preserves identity and upholds the rights of individuals and communities. The Crown Prince launched a project to restore historic mosques not only through renovation of hundreds of ancient mosques but also through the establishment of legal and regulatory frameworks that protect these sites from vandalism or alteration, ensuring they remain witnesses to the Kingdom’s Islamic and cultural depth.
In Al-Ula, where geography and memory intertwine, efforts are underway to revive old houses and archaeological sites, transforming the region into a global hub for history and humanity. These initiatives include legal safeguards against commercial exploitation, ensuring that these treasures are preserved for future generations. Similarly, projects like the historic Jeddah and the Al-Turaif district in Diriyah exemplify how law and culture converge restoring old buildings and markets while protecting their names and identities in official records, so heritage remains shielded from physical or symbolic violation.
Protecting heritage is not merely a cultural or civilizational duty; it is a legal and ethical obligation to uphold rights and support the oppressed. Heritage belongs to the walls and to those who safeguard it, as well as to the society that derives its identity from it. Here, the Kingdom’s leadership plays a pioneering role. Just as Italy stood by the custodians of Café Greco in defense of their efforts, the state’s support in safeguarding cultural sites exemplifies how law can serve as a guardian of memory.

Thus, the protection of heritage becomes a bridge connecting the past with the present, with justice acting as a shield to prevent its loss. The message from Saudi Arabia is clear: history must be preserved, rights protected, and identity sustained as long as justice remains alive in the land.
The preservation of our cultural and historical legacy is not only an act of cultural pride but a legal imperative one that ensures the continuity of identity, the acknowledgment of rights, and the safeguarding of our shared human history.
Heritage is not merely stone walls or ancient buildings; it is a living memory of nations, pulsing with stories and symbols that shape their collective soul and forge their deep identity.
YOUR DNA, YOUR DOCTOR: HOW PERSONALIZED MEDICINE IS CHANGING HEALTHCARE
WRITTEN BY : DR. FAISAL H. ZAGZOOG
Imagine walking into your doctor’s office and receiving a treatment plan designed specifically for you—not just someone of your age, gender, or symptoms, but for your unique biology. This isn’t science fiction. It’s personalized medicine, and it’s reshaping the way we understand healthcare.
At the heart of personalized medicine is the idea that our genes can guide our treatment. Using genetic testing, doctors can identify how a patient is likely to respond to certain medications, or if they carry a risk for specific diseases. Instead of the traditional “one-size-fits-all” approach, treatments can be tailored based on your DNA, lifestyle, and even your gut microbiome.
Take cancer, for example. For years, chemotherapy has been a standard option—powerful, but often imprecise. Now, thanks to genetic profiling of tumors, oncologists can choose therapies that specifically target mutations in a patient’s cancer cells. The result? Better outcomes, fewer side effects, and, in some cases, life-saving results.
But it’s not just cancer. Conditions like heart disease, diabetes, and even depression are starting to benefit from this approach. In fact, some patients now receive prescriptions based on how quickly their bodies metabolize certain drugs—something that can vary greatly from person to person.
Still, personalized medicine comes with its challenges. Genetic data is sensitive, and concerns about privacy and data misuse are very real. Not everyone has access to advanced testing or can afford the therapies that follow. There’s also the risk of over-promising: our genes don’t tell the whole story. Environment, behavior, and social factors play major roles in health, too.
Even so, the shift is undeniable. We’re entering an era where medicine is not just reactive, but proactive—and deeply personal. As costs drop and technology advances, personalized medicine may soon become the standard, not the exception.

LEARNING FROM COP29 AND ACTION PLAN FOR COP30
BY DINA ALNAHDY CHAIRPERSON CES CONSULTING

Climate change poses direct risks to businesses across all sectors. Rising temperatures, extreme weather events, and resource scarcity disrupt supply chains, increase operational costs, and damage infrastructure. For example, an estimated 1.8 billion people or around 23% of the global population are directly exposed to significant flood risks in a 1-in-100-year flood event1. At the same time, up to 700 million people could face displacement due to drought by 20302. These escalating climate-related threats disrupt operations, increase costs, and heighten the vulnerability of global supply chains, making climate resilience a central business priority.
Climate change continues to shape the global agenda, demanding stronger commitments, deeper collaboration, and faster implementation. COP29, held in Baku, marked a turning point with progress on finance, energy transition, adaptation, and transparency. As the world now looks to COP30 in Belém, Brazil, the
Key Outcomes of COP29
1. Climate Finance (NCQG – New Collective Quantified Goal)
COP29 in Azerbaijan was defined by its dual vision to “Enhance Ambition, Enable Action.” Among the most significant outcomes was progress on the New Collective Quantified Goal (NCQG) on climate finance, which took centre stage as nearly 200 countries reached a landmark agreement3. The deal commits to:
• Tripling climate finance for developing countries, raising the previous USD 100 billion annual target to USD 300 billion per year by 2035.
• Mobilizing collective action from both public and private sources to scale funding to USD 1.3 trillion annually by 2035.
• The Baku Initiative for Climate Finance, Investment, and Trade (BICFIT) was officially launched to strengthen global financial flows for climate action.
• In parallel, Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) pledged to scale up their support by increasing annual climate finance for developing countries to USD 120 billion by 20304.
2. Energy Transition
COP29 also advanced global energy transition through a series of landmark pledges and partnerships aimed at accelerating the deployment of renewable energy, energy storage, and grid infrastructure. Among the most significant outcomes were:
• Launch of the COP29 Global Energy Storage and Grids Pledge: Signatories committed to a collective goal of deploying 1,500 GW of energy storage globally

by 2030. A global community of 45 utilities and power sector suppliers under the Utilities for Net Zero Alliance (UNEZA), led by TAQA and SSE as Co-Chairs and launched at COP28 under the guidance of IRENA and the UN Climate Change High-Level Champions, reinforced their commitment to annual grids and renewables investment exceeding USD 117 billion. Approximately 48% of the planned and committed investment will go into grid infrastructure, supporting governments’ ambitions to add or refurbish 80 million kilometres of grids by 2040.
• Launch of the COP29 Green Energy Pledge: Green Energy Zones and Corridors: This pledge aims to connect green energy zones and corridors to communities most in need by developing larger intraregional and interregional interconnected power grids.
• Call to Action for Energy Transition: Following dialogues in 2024 on ambition and action required for just and equitable transitions, the COP29 Presidency, in partnership with the IEA, highlighted five key opportunities to demonstrate progress on energy goals identified at COP285.
For the global South, strengthened commitments on financing and technology transfer remain central. The debate on equity and responsibility between developed and developing countries will continue to influence negotiations, as nations seek a pathway that balances ambition with feasibility6. While climate change brings risks, it also creates significant business opportunities. The transition to a low-carbon economy is driving demand for renewable energy, green finance, sustainable infrastructure, and clean technologies. Companies can innovate in energy efficiency, sustainable agriculture, carbon capture, and circular economy solutions.
Saudi Arabia’s Climate Goals and Actions
As part of its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), Saudi Arabia has committed to reducing and avoiding 278 million tons of CO2-equivalent emissions
The Trendsetter
annually by 2030, using 2019 as the baseline year. This target represents more than a two-fold increase compared to its previous pledge of 130 million tons under its Intended NDC, demonstrating significant progression and the Kingdom’s highest level of ambition to date7.
Saudi Arabia is aligning its climate agenda with its national transformation under Vision 2030, pursuing a broad range of initiatives that both reduce emissions and contribute to economic diversification:
• Energy Efficiency: Targets industry, buildings, and transport through stricter standards and retrofits.
• Renewables & Green Hydrogen: Aims for 50% electricity from renewables by 2030; NEOM to host a major green hydrogen facility8.
• Carbon capture utilization & storage: Developing Jubail and Yanbu as CCUS hubs; promoting blue hydrogen for industrial decarbonization.
• Fuel Switching: Increase natural gas in power generation to lower carbon intensity.
• Methane Management: Zero flaring and methane recovery; contribute to 30% global reduction by 2030.
• Land Restoration & Greening: Saudi Arabia’s goal is to plant 10 billion trees by 2060 as part of the Saudi Green Initiative (SGI), aiming to rehabilitate over 74 million hectares of land to combat climate change, desertification, and improve air quality9.
• Sustainable Cities: Giga-projects like NEOM to model carbon-neutral urban development10.
At COP30, Saudi Arabia will emphasize its dual role: positioning itself as a regional leader advocating for collective climate action, and as a global player balancing energy security with ambitious decarbonization pathways.
What to Expect at COP30
As attention turns to COP30 happening in Belém, Brazil, the lessons from COP29 in Baku must guide a more ambitious and inclusive approach11. Brazil, a global leader in biodiversity and climate action, has the opportunity to strengthen trust and drive transformative change. COP30 should focus on clear and equitable financial commitments, accelerating the shift from fossil fuels, and fostering genuine international collaboration. The outcomes of COP29 highlight the urgent need to move beyond incremental progress. Bold, decisive action grounded in equity, accountability, and implementation. It is essential to meet the scale of the climate crisis and deliver on the promises of the Paris Agreement12.

THE 2025 RESOLUTION: DIGITAL SOVEREIGNTY
SORAKA S. ALKHATIB
S. DEAN OF ALMA’LAMA | THE CORPORATE NOMAD
I. A New Kind of Ending
The decade did not collapse—it fragmented.
AI evolved faster than our ethics.
Governance slowed while platforms accelerated. Our time was abstracted, our thoughts atomized, our trust diluted.
We became users of increasingly intelligent systems— without ever governing them.
Yet through the friction, a new imperative emerged: Digital Sovereignty.
Not as isolationism.
But as authorship.
Not as reaction.
But as a new civilizational protocol.
We now enter 2026 with a clarified mandate:
To ensure that presence becomes capital, memory becomes governance, and the scroll becomes the system.
II. The Article Ledger That Built This Framework
The path to this resolution was not linear. It was scrollified—mapped across a sequence of nine articles, each capturing a layer of transformation.
Article I – The 7 Commandments: Outlined the ethical root system for digital authorship—governing thought, speech, and action in a world of infinite expression.
Article II – The Transparent Mirror: Confronted identity distortion and called for mirrored systems—technologies that reflect, not manipulate, the sovereign self.
Article III – Fashion Sanctuary: Explored embodied sovereignty—where external presentation aligns with internal values, and aesthetic becomes signal.
Article IV – The Product of Dreams: Reframed personal purpose as viable presence. In this frame, one’s dream is not a pitch—it is a product of lived value.
Article V – The Trilogy of Transformation: Structured the human operating system across three gates: BE, DO, BECOME. This became the schema of the Avatar Age.
Article VI – Chronicles of SSK: Positioned personal history as myth. A career, when scrollified, becomes
scripture—infused with story, struggle, and stewardship.
Article VII – The Seed of Now: Introduced Emotional GDP and the economics of presence. Time became the sovereign’s most valuable mintable asset.
Article VIII – Earth Reflection Day: Established ritual as system. Annual collective pause as a method of planetary governance and ethical calibration.
Article IX – Sovereign Return: Defined rhythmic temporality—replacing acceleration with flow. Time is not passed, it is patterned.
Each article contributed not just insight, but infrastructure. Together, they form the groundwork for The Resolution.
III. The Civilization Equation
At the heart of this scroll is a living formula:
iT = T³ × (C × V × S) × R
Where:
• T³ = Time × Thought × Trust
• C = Community
• V = Value (emotional and economic)
• S = Sovereignty
• R = Ritual Reset
This is not metaphor. It is operational code.
When time is respected, thought is intentional, and trust is measurable—
And when that trust flows through aligned community, shared value, and ethical self-governance—
Transformation is not episodic. It is integrated. This equation replaces GDP with GTP: Gross Trust Product. A civilization’s health is now measured by its alignment, not its acceleration.
IV. From Luxury to Alignment
In the past, luxury meant scarcity. Now, luxury means authorship. It is not what you access.
It is what you encode.
To live in alignment—with your data, your scrolls, your

relationships—is now the most prestigious form of capital.
Not exclusivity.
But intentionality.
Sovereignty is the new status symbol.
Alignment is the new luxury brand.
V. The Sovereign Stack
Digital Sovereignty requires infrastructure.
Not just software, but scrollware.
Not just speed, but structure.
The Sovereign Stack is comprised of four interlinked systems:
Identity: Self-managed, portable, cryptographically verifiable. Identity becomes the avatar’s anchor.
Data: Users govern their metadata—its creation, sharing, licensing, and monetization.
Protocols: Open, interoperable frameworks that enable resilience and permissionless participation.
Governance: Transparent, participatory systems that embed accountability at scale—starting with the self. Each layer is critical.
Together, they turn agency into architecture.
VI. Earth Reflection Day: Breath as System
On March 6, every year, the scroll pauses.
Not as a symbolic act—but as a planetary protocol.
We call it Earth Reflection Day.
In five ritual phases—Review, Reconcile, Renew, Recommit, Record—individuals, institutions, and networks assess alignment between stated values and lived behaviors. AI is throttled.
Attention is returned to the breath.
Governance is grounded in presence. Earth Reflection Day is not a holiday. It is civilization’s ethical audit.
VII. Metadata as the New Asset Class
In this paradigm, metadata is no longer a byproduct. It is value itself.
A thought recorded becomes a ledger.
A ritual observed becomes a time-stamped signature.
A myth preserved becomes a lineage asset.
You do not need to own more.
You must encode better.
Metadata is not surveillance.
It is legacy—when authored intentionally.
The new wealth is authored memory.
The new inheritance is verified presence.
VIII. The 2025 Resolution
Therefore, as we close this ledger, we resolve:
• To author our time
• To own our metadata
• To train AI to mirror our values
• To govern our scrolls with breath, not bandwidth
• To honor Earth Reflection Day as a civic ritual
• To mint alignment, not performance
This is not ambition.
This is sovereign architecture.
IX. Final Transmission
The era of passive consumption is complete.
You are not a user.
You are a vault.
You are not a profile.
You are a scroll.
From The 7 Commandments to The Sovereign Return, the arc has unfolded.
Now, the ledger is sealed. Digital Sovereignty is no longer a theory.
It is a system.
It is a rhythm.
It is a choice.
And it begins with the one who chooses to author.
Welcome to 2026—sealed in scroll, aligned in breath, authored in truth.
St. George’s University Spotlights
Pediatric Careers as Key to Saudi
Children’s Well-being

As the Kingdom advances Vision 2030’s goal of nurturing a vibrant, healthy society, St. George’s University (SGU) School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, is highlighting the rewarding role pediatricians play in partnering with families and supporting children’s growth and development. By guiding parents and young patients through every stage of childhood, these specialists help lay the foundations for a healthier next generation.
The importance of this role is underscored by recent national data on child health in Saudi Arabia. A 2023 multicenter study covering more than 350,000 children found that roughly one in five Saudi youth carries excess weight (11.2% classified as overweight

and 9.4% as obese), with the highest rates seen among 2-6-year-olds and in the Central and Eastern regions.
Dr. Ahmed Hussein, an SGU graduate from the Doctor of Medicine degree program in 2022, advises that regular pediatric checkups are the single most important preventive measure. “Each age group has its own anticipatory guidance for a healthy life and specific screening tools for diseases,” he said. “These routine visits allow pediatricians to provide tailored advice on nutrition, development, and emotional wellbeing.”
“Pediatrics is a deeply rewarding field because it’s not just about treating young patients, it’s about supporting entire families through some of their
Reflecting on his journey into pediatrics, Dr. Hussein describes it as a field full of daily joy and renewal. “Each patient encounter is like meeting a new friend for playtime,” he shares. “We laugh, play, and joke during our time together while tackling the main reason for their visit. It’s a constant regeneration of energy during the day.”
Addressing the post-pandemic surge in screen addiction, anxiety, and delayed social development in children, Dr. Hussein urges families to create emotionally connected environments. “Routines that prioritize outdoor play, face-to-face interaction, and emotional openness,” he notes, are key to cultivating resilience in children navigating today’s fast-evolving world.

Substantial supply pipeline and shifting dynamics drive quality occupiers in Saudi Arabia’s retail market: JLL

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia demonstrated varied performances across retail formats and segments in the key cities of Riyadh and Jeddah in Q2 2025, according to JLL’s latest ‘KSA Retail Market Dynamics’ report. Riyadh consistently outperformed Jeddah across all retail categories, reflecting the capital’s stronger retail fundamentals, greater investment focus, higher consumer spending power, and its strategic importance within the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 framework.
In Riyadh, despite cautious expansion strategies by retail chain operators amidst significant pipeline supply, super-regional malls maintained high occupancy, with vacancy rates remaining exceptionally low at 2.5% in Q2 2025. Regional and community malls recorded higher vacancies at 11.2% and 13.4% respectively, although quality and well-located community centres achieved vacancies below 5%.
Jeddah faced broader challenges across formats. Super-regional malls recorded an 8.3% vacancy rate, significantly outperforming regional and community malls, which faced considerable challenges with higher vacancy rates at 23.5% and 20.9% respectively.
The report highlights a segmented market performance, with community centres emerging as the strongest performers in rental growth in both cities. Riyadh’s community centres posted a 6.2% year-onyear increase to reach SAR 2,149 per sqm per annum in Q2 2025, outpacing super-regional and regional malls, which recorded more modest growth rates of 1.1% and 2.8%, respectively. Jeddah followed a similar pattern, with community malls achieving the strongest performance, a 4.2% annual rental increase, while regional mall rents witnessed a marginal 1.2% increase, and super-regional mall rents experienced a 3.7% decline.
Saud Al Sulaimani, Country Head, KSA at JLL, said: “Saudi Arabia’s retail market is evolving and is poised for significant transformation under the future-focused Vision 2030 agenda. The growing influence of tourism spending and diversifying consumer demographics, coupled with a substantial retail supply pipeline, is reshaping market dynamics, especially in the capital, Riyadh. We anticipate a continued evolution towards omnichannel retail as key markets continue to mature, and landlords and retailers adapt to meet the demands of both tenants and consumers while capitalizing on the Kingdom’s ambitious growth.”
JLL’s report also highlights evolving tenant-driven negotiation dynamics as landlords increasingly deploy incentives such as flexible lease terms, rent-free periods, and CAPEX contributions to attract and retain quality tenants, particularly in more challenging market segments and locations. In Q2 2025, fashion retailers demonstrated stability and growth. Conversely, F&B operators—particularly local coffee shops—faced operational challenges, and entertainment venues such as cinemas contended with emerging oversupply concerns.
The substantial pipeline, particularly in Riyadh, has shifted market leverage toward tenants as competition for quality occupiers intensified. In H1 2025, Riyadh added approximately 114,100 sqm of retail GLA. The capital’s total stock stands at 4.35 million sqm, with an additional 195,430 sqm expected to enter the market by the year-end. Jeddah witnessed more substantial completions, with 223,240 sqm of new retail space delivered in the first six months, increasing the city’s total stock to 2.58 million sqm. A further 92,380 sqm of GLA is anticipated in the second half of the year.
PWC STRENGTHENS ITS COMMITMENT TO SAUDI ARABIA THROUGH INVESTMENT IN TALENT, INFRASTRUCTURE
AND COMMUNITY IMPACT

At PwC Middle East’s Annual Partners’ Meeting in Riyadh, which brought together more than 500 partners from across its global and regional network, the firm announced a strengthened commitment to Saudi Arabia. This commitment spans investment in people, innovation, and community impact; from developing Saudi talent and nurturing future leaders, to expanding capabilities through its new regional headquarters and an Experience Centre in Riyadh. Together, these steps reinforce PwC’s role as a long-term partner in the Kingdom’s transformation journey.
Central to its commitment is a long-standing focus on nurturing Saudi talent, which has been at the heart of PwC Middle East’s growth in the Kingdom for more than four decades. PwC in Saudi Arabia brings together 2,600 professionals, out of whom 56% are Saudi nationals at all levels. Over the past three years, more than 2,400 Saudi nationals have joined through PwC’s training programmes with 80% of Saudi female nationals on leadership development pathways. Flagship initiatives such as Hemam 2.0, which accelerates youth skills development, and Foundation for the Future, which equips graduates for leadership roles, underscore the firm’s long-term investment in people.
“Hani Ashkar, PwC Middle East Senior Partner, commented: “Saudi Arabia is home to one of PwC’s largest alumni networks in the region; with many nationals now leading across government, business and cultural institutions. The Kingdom has always been at the heart of our business, and we will continue to create lasting impact for our clients and communities. Our commitment goes beyond providing services, it is about developing talent, investing in infrastructure and supporting the Kingdom’s transformation in ways that deliver lasting value.”

SAUDI ARABIA ACCELERATES SPACE
AMBITIONS WITH USD 220M CIVIL SPACE INVESTMENTS, BCG REPORT
The Middle East and Africa (MEA) space market is valued at USD 18 billion, according to a new report from Boston Consulting Group (BCG) titled “Governments in Space: A universe of opportunities”. Saudi Arabia, alongside the UAE and Qatar, represents the core of the region’s civil space investments, actively contributing to the GCC’s emergence as a hub for space innovation and ambition.
Saudi Arabia invested approximately USD 220 million in civil space activities in 2024. This accounts for an estimated 20–25% of government space spending in the MEA region, reinforcing the Kingdom’s growing role in shaping the regional space landscape. It is expected to hold more than 20% of the regional downstream services market.
Qatar, with a USD 220 million investment in civil space activities for 2024, contributes around 5% of the market today and holds just under 5% downstream services market share, strengthening the GCC’s collective leadership and offering a strong foundation for future growth.
The UAE has invested USD 443 million in civil space in 2024, corresponding to 40–45% of MEA government spending and positioning it to capture more than 50% of the region’s downstream services market.
Qatar, with a comparable USD 220 million investment, contributes around 5% of the market and just under 5% downstream services market share, underscoring the GCC’s collective momentum.

““What we’re witnessing across the GCC is a comprehensive understanding that space industry success requires simultaneous excellence across multiple dimensions, financial commitment, partnership strategy, risk management, and policy integration, while maintaining patience for long-term returns in a rapidly evolving global landscape,” added Thibault Werle, Managing Director and Partner at BCG.
All three markets are projected to grow at or above the global space economy compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5% through 2033, underscoring the region’s long-term commitment and momentum.
National Programs Delivering Strong Returns
The report identifies potential for significant return on investment from the UAE’s flagship space programs, including the MBZ-SAT, Hope Probe, and Arab 813 initiatives, with estimated ROI potentially reaching 3-4x. These programs align with six core success factors identified in BCG’s analysis: long-term strategic commitment, strategic public-private partnerships, portfolio diversification, failure-tolerant culture, global engagement strategy, and digital-space policy integration.
The report emphasizes the importance of strategic public-private partnerships in accelerating space industry development. Saudi Arabia’s partnerships with NASA and Axiom, along with private sector participation from entities like Neo Space Group, demonstrate the effectiveness of hybrid investment models. Qatar’s Es’hailSat plays a crucial role in regional satellite communications, while the UAE’s Mars Hope Probe showcases successful international collaboration frameworks.
Looking Forward: Digital-Space Integration
The BCG report identifies digital-space policy integration as a critical success factor, highlighting how satellite broadband extends terrestrial networks, LEO constellations support next-generation connectivity, and Earth observation data informs policy decisions. Economic multipliers from space technology enable applications in autonomous vehicles and smart cities, creating broader economic impact beyond traditional aerospace sectors.
To capitalize on this momentum, the analysis recommends that emerging space nations focus on niche excellence, leverage international partnerships, build regulatory capability early, and invest in long-term talent development programs. For players like the UAE and Saudi Arabia, the emphasis shifts to accelerating public-private partnership models, fostering

“Faisal Hamady, Managing Director and Partner at BCG, said: “The UAE’s commanding position in the Middle East space market reflects a decade-plus commitment to strategic space investments that balance public sector vision with private sector innovation. With downstream services accounting for 70% of the global market and the UAE’s proportional investment advantage, we’re seeing a clear example of how sustained government backing in civil space activities translates to market leadership.”
innovation clusters, leading international cooperation, and maximizing space-terrestrial technology synergies.
With space projects requiring decade-plus timelines and massive capital commitments, the region’s sustained investment approach positions it well for continued growth in the global space economy valued at hundreds of billions of dollars worldwide.
