Currently, Optical Expressions has a satellite location on Page Boulevard in East Springfield. “We moved there because there are no other opticians in that area, and it’s convenient for the people of Indian Orchard or Chicopee who want to support our business,” Shelia explained. When asked if owning her own business was everything she’d hoped, Sheila replied that she enjoys it greatly, and that if she had to do it all over again, she “would not have done too much differently.”

According to Shelia, “Being a business owner is a very rewarding experience, as it feels good to know that the people who visit Optical Expressions are treated with respect and they leave here happy. The staff here is very friendly and we treat people with the Golden Rule [Do unto others as you would have others do unto you]. Hearing people say, ‘Wow, I look great!’ or, ‘You all gave me the best service I’ve had,’ makes me happy. I know that we are doing what we set out to do – give people personalized service.”
