The Miss Lincoln County Pageant will be held Sat urday, September 24 at 2 p.m. at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds. Doors will open at 1:00 p.m. Miss Con testants, if you have ever thought about being in our pageant, NOW is the time!!! The winner of the Miss Lincoln County Pageant (ages 18-23) will receive a $4000 scholarship to UAM. This will be in the amount of $2000 per semester, for two consecu tiveEntrysemesters!!!feeis$40. Photogenic fee is $10. Entry forms can be picked up at Connect Bank or Chique Boutique. The deadline to enter is September 19. Divisions will be as follows: Baby Mister (0-2 yrs), Little Mister (3-5 yrs), Baby Miss (0-11 mths), Tiny Miss (12-23 mths), Toddler Miss (2-3 yrs), Little Miss (4-6yrs), Future Miss (7-9 yrs), Princess (10-13 yrs), Jr Fair Queen (14-17 yrs), Fair Queen (18-23 yrs).

The Lincoln County Fair Parade will be held Wednesday, September 28, at 5:00 p.m. The parade will line up on South Jefferson Street. Floats need to be in line on Washington Street before 4:15 p.m. These entries will be judged stationary and while passing the Town Square Clock Tower. There are four divisions of float entries: Commercial, Church, Non-Profit and Youth. Prizes are - First Place - $40; Second Place - $25; and Third Place - $15. If you are entering a float or bicycle, it is recommended to register in ad vance. There will be a Sweepstakes Award for Best of Parade. Bicycles will be judged at First Assembly of God Church and will need to line up by 4:30 p.m. Bicycle Awards are: First Place - $5; Second Place - $3; and Third Place - $2. The Parade will end at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds. We respectfully request all entries to follow the parade to its destination. A FALSE ENTRY OF ANY KIND WILL DISQUALIFY AN EXHIBITOR FROM RECEIVING PREMIUMS IN ALL DIVISIONS.

Go to Star City City Hall before Friday, September 23 to pick-up your exhibitor number, exhibit entry sheet, and tags for your exhibits, which can then be completed at home by referring to your Fair catalog. On Monday, September 26, when you bring your items to Exhibit Check-In, you will simply put your items in each Exhibit area and leave your entry sheet at the front table. Directions for completing exhibit tags are contained in this Fair Catalog.

1. Exhibits may only be entered in one County Fair per year.

10. All Educational booths and Home Economics exhibits must be removed by 2:30 p.m. Sunday, October 2.

9. All entered exhibits are not to be removed from the Fairgrounds before 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 2.

4. Exhibits must have been made since the Lincoln County Fair 2021 with the exception of quilts, which may have been started before last year’s Fair.

3. The Lincoln County Fair Association and the Lincoln County Cooperative Extension Service will not be responsible for any loss or damage of an entry from any cause. Every precaution will be taken to see that all entries are protected.

2. Exhibits must be prepared by the named exhibitor.

12. Competent, qualified judges will be furnished by the Lincoln County Fair Association and the Lincoln County Cooperative Extension Service. All decisions by the judges are final.

13. No liability is assumed by the Lincoln County Fair Association and/or the Lincoln County Cooperative Extension Service for any injury to participants and/or spectators. Parents are responsible for monitoring their children.

8. Home Economics exhibits can be entered this year 8:00 a.m. – 12noon and 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 26. No Home Ec exhibits will be accepted after 5:00 p.m.

6. All exhibits will be awarded Blue, Red, White, or Participation based on merit. An individual may enter only one (1) exhibit in each Lot in all Divisions with the exception of livestock.

14. Junior Division is open to any boy or girl 5-18 years of age.

11. There is no entry fee for any exhibit.

15. Senior Swine Division entries are open to anyone without regard to county residence, provided they have not shown in a previous county fair during the current year. All boars must be de-tusked before showing in the Lincoln County Fair. A Livestock exhibitor may show as many breeds as desired.

• The use of illegal drugs on any animal will be grounds for disqualification. Illegal drugs will be defined as prescription medications not being used to treat an injury or illness. All drugs will be administered under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian.

Any sheep showing clinical symptoms of Scrapie shall be immediately quarantined in isolation and required to undergo any approved diagnostic tests and shall be consigned to slaughter or destruction with submission of tissues to an approved diagnostic laboratory at the exhibitor’s expense.

• Exhibitors are expected to keep their area and stall clean at all times during the Lincoln County Fair. Not following this rule could make you ineligible for the Herdsman Award.

• All animals must be shown in the “ring” by the owner, EXCEPT when the owner has more than one animal per class. In this case, the second animal may be shown by another club member with the approval of the County Agent or Vocational Agriculture teacher.

• The exhibitor must individually own all animals. Animals must be owned and cared for by the exhibitor for at least 90 days before the show date. The only exception to this rule will be for “Broilers”.

• Showmanship will be judged on how the exhibitor presents their animal in the show ring and how the animal is groomed for presentation. Showmanship in all species will be divided into Junior (Ages 8-13) and Senior (Ages

1. All in-state poultry, which includes domesticated game birds, quail, pheasants, peafowl, guineas, and turkeys, present at exhibition in Arkansas shall have originated from U. S. Pullorum-Typhoid Clean or equivalent flocks or have had a negative pullorum-typhoid test within ninety (90) days of the movement to the exhibition (pullorum-typhoid testing on fairgrounds during the fair is prohibited.) This information will be documented on a NPIP Form VS 9-3, 90-Day Certificate, NPIP Flock Certification Form or similar certificate that will accompany the poultry during exhibition.2.Allnon-certified birds must be banded (leg or wing band), with a sealed band. Wrap-around plastic bands are not acceptable. In-state waterfowl are exempt from pullorum-typhoid requirements.3.Any poultry showing evidence of infectious or contagious disease or insect infestation will not be permitted to exhibit.
