fashion flash

maternity wedding look Here’s the reality: More and more brides are pregnant at their wedding. And while there are beautiful maternity bridal dresses found in Tina Mak’s affordable and elegant collection (TinaMakWeddings.com) and in the classic and versatile range from Luxe by Séraphine (SeraphineMaternity.com), many designers are showing at least one or two dresses that could translate into “maternity” wedding gowns, according to Terry Hall, fashion director of Kleinfeld Bridal. These gowns are often made from lighter fabrics, such as chiffon and stretch jersey, that beautifully drape around the body, creating an elegant, flowy look that’s especially flattering for expecting brides, Hall says. It’s important to consider how far along you’ll be on your wedding day, as that can determine the type of silhouette and material you’re comfortable in, he says, adding that a full A-line or ball gown with an empire waistline would be perfect for pregnant brides at full-term.
