’ll be the first to admit I’m not one to follow trends and I’ve always advocated for creating a soulful and meaningful interior that tells a story that reflects you, your personality and the

As a retailer, this can often be challenging. Not only do we need to appear to be offering ‘what’s in’ and popular for the season in order to keep our store looking fresh and relevant, but we need to work out how to best incorporate it into our own brand stories, even when it doesn’t necessarily fit with our aesthetic.

This is exactly the reason why I choose not to follow trends. Of course, I research and inform myself of what’s coming, but as far as how closely I follow these trends—I’ll pick what’s relevant to my story and stay true to the vision I have created for my brand. However, I’ll also be the first to admit that if a design trend comes along that I love and that really resonates with me, I will definitely be using that to my advantage with strong representation throughout our stores.

The next market we will enter is Japan where we will have a presence in Isetan department store and Haneda airport in Q3 this year. Some other SEA markets such as Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia are ongoing and hopefully we can have a presence in those markets before the end of 2023.
