Welcome G
reetings everyone and I trust our latest edition of epay World magazine finds you all having a successful 2016 so far. Inside you’ll find what’s trending right now in the world of prepaid and which epay products will drive your sales even further at this time of year. Our software range will be especially popular for our electronics retailers in the coming months as consumers look to get all of their finances in order ahead of the end of the financial year. People will be looking to purchase epay’s software products to assist with their tax return or as a business expense that can be written off. From page 6, our four-page EOFY feature details what electronics retailers can do to maximise EOFY sales as well as some key epay products to promote in store. On page 16, we continue to focus on the EOFY, and we offer some great tips on how people can get the best possible return come June 30. Also inside this issue we highlight how epay has Mother’s Day covered this year with our comprehensive range of gift card products from the likes of Myer, David Jones and Westfield. See page 20 for what to spoil Mum with this year, while on page 22 we feature the latest gadgets that can be used in conjunction with the epay products available in your store.
“Our software range will be especially popular for our electronics retailers in the coming months as consumers look to get all of their finances in order ahead of the end of the financial year.” For our Sydney convenience retailers, it’s all good news in terms of the Opal travel card as it goes from strength to strength as the dominant public transport payment method. On page 18 we chat with the NSW Minister for Transport and Infrastructure Andrew Constance about how the Opal card is far superior to the old paper tickets. The success of the Opal card in recent years has definitely been enhanced by its relationship with epay and the broad range of independent retailers it has on its network. The retailer profile in this edition sees us catch up with Kristen Robb, Store Manager at Leading Edge Computers in Dubbo. Since adding the epay software category to his store, Kristen has been able to sell a larger range of software products with no financial risk and with no upfront costs. See page 26 for the full interview and an insight to how epay’s software products could work for you as well. Kind regards, Matt Blayney Country Manager
