Your monthly message from the Editor

Welcome to December and our final edition for 2023! What a wild ride this year has been. We know for us personally there have been many highlights, many challenges, blessings, lessons and laughter along the way!

As the year draws to a close and festivities ramp up as we celebrate the year that was, prepare to gather over the festive season with family and friends, it’s important to continue to maintain your practices of self-care, of meditation and other healthy habits that you have created for yourself over the year.

Take some time out to reflect on just how far you have come these past twelve months and celebrate yourself for what you have managed to overcome, even if you are still going through it. It’s important to celebrate the small wins, not just the finished product! Keep reading to read my article on Farewelling 2023 for the 5-step process I have been following for many years now to farewell the year that was and welcome in the brand-new year.

This edition is a little more jam-packed than usual as we couldn’t bring you an edition in November due to some challenging family circumstances that meant there was not enough time or enough of me to be able to produce a quality magazine.

To make up for it, we ’ re bring you a few extra things this month! We hope you enjoy! We have several articles highlighting some wonderful members, organisations and businesses in our community including Angie from Illume, Warren from Mr Perfect, Walk for Wellbeing Wrap Up, Lure Living and our 2023 Year in Review and more. We have our regular columnists sharing their wisdom with us again.

As we close out 2023, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you, our readers for continuing to show up and read our editions each month. To our regular columnists –thank you for sharing your insights with our community each month, we really do appreciate you. To our advertisers – thank you for entrusting us to help share your message You are the backbone of The Hub Capricorn Coast and allow us to keep operating! Thank you to Pete for your continued support and encouragement, especially during the times when ‘I’ve had enough’ and feel like giving up.

See you next year!

Shanelle
