SHELTERS AT HAWKINS LOOKOUT AND OXLADE RESERVE

Picnic

Brand-new picnic shelters have been installed at Hawkins Lookout in Wisemans Ferry and Oxlade Reserve in North Kellyville.

These shelters provide extra seating and protection from the elements, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all.

Enjoy the picturesque views of the Hawkesbury River from Hawkins Lookout or take the kids for a picnic at Oxlade Reserve, which has a children’s playground, kickabout area and walking/ cycling paths.

Kumbatine Crescent And Deepwater Circuit Reserve Pocket Parks

New pocket parks have opened in North Kellyville at Kumbatine Crescent and Deepwater Circuit Reserve. The parks were built on additional land adjoining stormwater management basins. Both parks include a children’s playground ideal for young children and toddlers, a picnic shelter and walking paths.

SAMANTHA RILEY DRIVE RESERVE, NORTH KELLYVILLE

Samantha Riley Drive Reserve is anticipated to open in mid-September 2023, weather permitting.

Once complete, it will include:

• Four multi-purpose sports fields that can also be reconfigured into two ovals and two cricket wickets;

• Amenities building with accessible toilets, change rooms, kiosk, referee room and storage;

• Local playground with picnic facilities;

• Basketball half court;

• Two practice cricket nets;

• Concrete shared loop pathway around the fields; and

• Onsite carpark with 200 spaces.

STRINGER ROAD RESERVE, NORTH KELLYVILLE

Construction has begun on Stringer Road Reserve. Once complete, this reserve will include:

• Four multi-purpose sports fields that can also be reconfigured into two ovals and one cricket wicket;

• Two multi-purpose basketball courts;

• Cricket practice nets;

• Local playground;

• Amenities building with accessible toilets, change rooms, kiosk and storage;

• Car park; and

• Pathway network around the fields.

Stringer Road Reserve is anticipated to open in December 2024, weather permitting.

WITHERS ROAD RESERVE, NORTH KELLYVILLE

Current works on Withers Road Reserve include:

• Installation of the playground, soft fall flooring, shade structure and park furniture; and

• Native vegetation planting;

Once completed, the reserve will include a playground with shade sail, half basketball court and turf kick-about area. The reserve is anticipated to open in early September 2023, weather permitting.
