Acts 17:30 “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:” It seems as though for nearly a generation, meaning about 40 years, God has allowed a lot of evil to go unpunished. That is what my wisdom and understanding of the word of God along with my experience as a preacher of the gospel has led me to believe Why? Because God had to allow it in order for His Word to be fulfilled God cannot go against His Word; period It doesn’t mean that God is not going to bring judgment for these misdeeds The Lord seen fit to allow Satan to be the god of this world fully for approximately 3 and ½ years according to all we know that the bible teaches In order for that to happen, evil had to be allowed to increase Hence the great tribulation we can expect to go through if we are alive What you can be sure of though is this Like the title of this article states, God is done winking The scripture clearly teaches us that judgment must begin at the house of God. It’s going to start with all the false preachers who, without any fear of God, have been misleading the flock of God for decades

Making a name for themselves for filthy lucre’s sake But for the Christians who are considered sheep, God’s standard is no different You are as responsible for what you hear preached as the preacher is for what they preach. The simple truth is that never has it been so simple as to claim to be a Christian and that is all that is required. To truly be a Christian means to live separate from worldly ways, be active in the work of the Lord, live by faith every day in a way that is pleasing to God and to strive to be a winner of souls. A yielded vessel that God can work through to bless others; whether that individual is a Christian or not
One of the rudimentary aspects of being a Christian is being taught by a preacher of God how to learn how to live by God’s standard Which is why the apostle Paul taught others to follow him as he followed Christ This statement is going to sting some of you I imagine but a true Christian is always
looking for ways to praise God for the good things in their life That is one of the predominant reasons why someone who is lost would want to become a Christian In case you haven’t been taught these things or maybe you are new to being a Christian, you need to seek God diligently in prayer and in His Word to show you the right way And seek out a true preacher sent by God to counsel you and help guide you God’s preachers are ordained to guide you and to be ensamples to you; not lords over God’s heritage One of the key things you need to know is the understanding, meaning the spiritual revelation, of the word of God comes by God’s ordained preachers But in order for that to even happen, you must have received the Holy Ghost! I prayed many years ago, as a young man, for God to make me a worker in His vineyard I wanted to make a difference for His glory helping others God answered my prayers and called me into the ministry as an evangelist of the gospel He did that through prophecy by my former pastor, Brother Lee Sharp, who was a true prophet of God As far back as I can remember, God programmed into me to be a worker. Do you go to church to hear the word of God preached as your primary reason? Do you talk more about your pastor than you do what your pastor preached? Do you search the scriptures to make sure that what your pastor is preaching lines up perfectly with the word of God? Does your pastor tell you the whole truth from the bible holding nothing back? Or do they say that certain parts of the bible are no longer relevant and can be ignored?
There is a very strong evil in the land where Christians are idolizing their pastors without any regard for the truth You can spot them pretty easily because when you mention their pastor, there countenance begins to glow as they talk them up And not talking them up because they preach the word of God, rightly divided. But about all the carnal aspects of them that they love so much A pastor is one of the 5 fold ministry positions. There calling is to root and ground Christians in the faith of Jesus Christ Not to win popularity contests and to be making inappropriate comments and contact with their congregation In fact, a true pastor sent by God will be able to discern when a member of their congregation is idolizing them and be able to take steps to avoid it. Pastors are required by God to tell you the truth no matter how much you don’t like it but it’s supposed to be done properly. Meaning under the leadership of the Holy
Ghost and not because they just enjoying taking advantage of their position of authority.
William Branham actually threatened to quit preaching because so many of his followers were idolizing him that He was scared God was going to kill him. And even though he has been passed for many years, there is still a sect of Christians who idolize him and think he is to be followed They are called Branhamites Every true man of God in the New Testament taught God’s people to follow Christ; period They were fast to rebuke anyone who tried to patronize them with false praise like the soothsayer in the book of Acts
Your priority as a child of God is to follow Christ How do you do that? By seeking out a preacher who is ordained by God, filled with the Holy Ghost and only ever preaches as a yielded vessel of His Spirit Not one that writes sermon series, which are no where in the bible, and rehashes messages sent down from headquarters A pastor who God answers their prayers when you bring them prayer requests. A pastor that God confirms the Word they preach with signs following One who insists that God gets all the glory and is an ensample of the virtues of the word of God A pastor who does things without partiality One who is more afraid of God than any human who always refers to their congregation as God’s flock 1Peter 5:1‐3
