Memory of

Peter Brennan, of London, Ontario, passed away peacefully at home on September 29, 2025, after living bravely with cancer. Born in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England, on December 10, 1951, Peter is survived by his wife, Sharon; his daughter, Jessica, and her partner, Shawn Mac Innis; and his soon-to-be-born beloved grandchild. He also leaves behind his much-loved cousins John and Lynda Hirst and Pat Ellin, along with their families, as well as many dear friends, including the Jeans ’n Classics family.
Leaving England as a child, Peter grew up in Campbellford, Ontario, where he made enduring friendships. He later moved to London, Ontario, to study Music Composition and Theory at Western University, laying the foundation for a lifelong career in music. He toured extensively, played with countless bands, and produced numerous albums—but his greatest passion was Jeans ’n Classics, the musical project he founded in the early 1990s. For Peter, every performance was “the best gig ever”—every city the greatest, every orchestra the finest, every concert hall the most beautiful. That’s how he saw the world: through a lens of gratitude, wonder, and deep appreciation.
Peter never forgot where he came from. While a highlight of his career was performing with the BBC Concert Orchestra and the band ABC at Royal Albert Hall in London, England, nothing meant more to him than returning to perform for the hometown crowd in London, Ontario. For over thirty years, these concerts and this audience held a special place in his heart.
The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love & support. Should you like to make a donation in Peter’s memory, please donate to one of his favourite charities: The Grand Theatre, Habitat for Humanity Heartland Ontario, the Donkey Sanctuary of Canada, or a local arts organization you love.
