Irish tech firm Intercom looks forward to create 150 jobs in Ireland over the next 12 months with an aim to bring its Dublin headcount to 400 by the end of next year. Intercom provides communication systems to businesses for use in their marketing, online sales, and customer support.

CHENNAI

Formerly known as Madras, Chennai is the capital city of the state and India’s fourth largest metropolis. The city is widely famous for its beaches, ancient architecture, Anglo-Indian architecture, cultural festivals and is India’s largest shopping destination. Chennai is seen as the gateway to Southern India and is well connected to all parts of India by road, rail and air. MOUNTAIN RANGES

COONOOR Coonoor is the second largest hill station in the mountain range. Located in the parts of the Nilgiri Mountain Range, it is an ideal base for trekking expeditions leading into the Nilgiri Mountains. Coonoor is en route to the Mettupalayam-Ooty highway as well as the NMR. It is an ideal break-point for visitors destined to Ooty. HOGENAKKAL WATERFALLS Situated close to the border of the adjacent state of Karnataka in the district of Dharmapuri, Hogenakkal waterfall is a picnic spot. It is believed that its water carries curative powers. Hogenakkal is surrounded by thick, green woods that offers a lovely panoramic view and is considered a sacred bathing place as people take bath in the Kaveri river, before and beyond the falls. Here the water spreads for miles around and the area is surrounded by hills.

BEACHES

KUSHI/ARIYAMAN BEACH Situated on the side of Palk Bay in the Ramanathapuram District, Ariyaman Beach features a children’s park, watchtower, and water-based attractions like windsurfing and water scooters.


Tourists are also offered a visit to the aquarium and museum near the beach. This attractive and magnificent beach features big and huge casuarina trees providing shade for rest. The beach is located at a distance of 27 km from the city and measures around 150 meters in width. It extends to a stretch of 2 km and offers a boating facility and much more to tourists. ELLIOT BEACH This popular bathing beach is located in Besant Nagar. It is the favorite rendezvous of the younger generation. Good roads, pavements, illuminated sands, and other fascinating features make a visit to this beach a real pleasure. MAHABALIPURAM Mamallapuram has a beach spanning a distance of over 20 km. Once the site of the erstwhile Pallava Kingdom’s seaport, the place today abounds with stone carvings, caves, and rock-cut temples that also attract tourists. A crocodile farm, snake venom extracting center, schools of art and sculpture, and a wide choice of resorts along the beach draw holiday-seekers all round the year.
