We invited our little creatives to paint a GIANT mural with their hands, bodies, brushes, cars, number cut outs, and their imaginations. Our creatives mixed and remixed colors, explored patterns, touched and played with numbers, and together created a lively painting. Every single painting you’ll see in this book has been created with their little hands and GIANT minds. Their animal avatars are made using AI tools.
Text for this book is written by Dr. Azi Jamalian, founder of The GIANT Room. She has a PhD in cognitive studies with a focus on the development of mathematical thinking. The book invites our little creatives and their families to count animals and objects, match and compare, and sing rhyming words, while being immersed in a colorful world created by their hands.

The GIANT Room offers after school programs, camps, family events, specialized co-design workshops with industry designers, and online creative bootcamp membership. Kids may join our programs online, inperson at our studio, or off-site at one of our partner locations in museumsandschools.
Founded by two women with PhDs in education and backgrounds in science and engineering, we dream of a world where every child has the confidence to voice their ideas, have access to mentors and resources they needtobuildprototypesoftheirideas,andtheopportunitytoshare those ideas with their community... just like the GIANT kid who published their collaborative, creative work in this beautiful counting book to be sharedwithmillionsoffamiliesaroundtheworld.
