Evan Mitchell • Studied with Richard Weiner, Principal Percussionist of the Cleveland Orchestra at the Cleveland Institute of Music. • Performs frequently with the Cleveland Pops Orchestra and the Buffalo and Fort Wayne Philharmonic Orchestras. • Teaching philosophies stem from Nigerian drummer Tony Allen. “To be the best means you have to find a way to put something on the road, create something that wasn’t there, for other people to learn from.”
