Summer 2025 Business HoursWilloughby:
For current business hours, please visit fineartsassociation.org or call Customer Experience at (440) 951-7500.
Making the most of your arts investment is an important goal. To assist you in doing so, we encourage the following:
1.Meet your child's teacher and develop a rapport. Build a partnership that leads to lasting success for your student.
2.Demonstrate a positive attitude about their arts education. If you value it, they will too.
3.Help your child prepare. Make sure they practice and set time aside to prepare each week. Growth requires discipline. The arts provide a perfect training ground for developing this essential life skill.
4.Ask for help if you think your child may need it. Every child learns differently. You know more about your child then your teacher does. Let the teacher know your concerns. If you feel that the class or teacher are not the right fit, we urge you to follow the steps as outlined below.
1.You or your child attend at least three classes as a full participant.
2.As a parent, you observe at least one class.
3.You attempt weekly communication with your child's teacher about the class, its objectives, and how to make the most of the class for you and your child.
4.After those prerequisites have been met and you still are concerned about you or your child's progress, you may request a meeting with the teacher, department director (as applies) and the CEO. After that conversation, the student may be requested to join to give them a chance to detail their concerns.
Copies of the Policies and Procedures Agreement can be found on Fine Art's website, our registration platform, and at Customer Experience.
We hope that these opportunities to discover and communicate lead to the best possible outcomes for you, your child, and the teacher.

DANCE INSTRUCTION
• The Fine Arts Association Dance Program offers Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Hip Hop, Interpretive, Dance for Musical Theatre, and Adaptive Dance.
• We welcome dancers as they are and at any level, age and experience. Utilizing these guiding factors, dancers are placed with intention to ensure safety, achievement, and enjoyment. Students are evaluated annually to continue proper placement relative to program, dancer, and family goals.
• Young dancers (ages 7 and under) are offered creative movement and ballet/tap combination classes. These classes provide a foundation of dance terminology and movements. Our instructors will use locomotor and non-locomotor movement to develop and increase coordination and spatial awareness.
• Dancers studying in the upper-level classes will develop technical proficiency, style and performance qualities, and an overall understanding of the many paths they can pursue dance.
• Overall, no matter the age, we provide a safe space for students, to learn, express, grow, unite, and have fun.
Led by Co-Creative Director of Dance, Jen Boehmer, our summer dance program for the young dancer is designed to encourage exploration of dance in a fun, positive environment. Each class will provide an age-appropriate experience designed to inspire creative movement, expression, and the discovery of basic and intermediate skills. The overall experience will feel more like a summer camp. These programs are perfect for children ready to learn in a fun and structured environment.

PRIVATE MUSIC INSTRUCTION
Recital opportunities
• The Fine Arts Association provides regular opportunities for music students to perform in recitals. General recitals are free, and the community is welcome! If you are a music student interested in participating in a general recital, please communicate with your instructor.
Suzuki Instruction
• Dr. Shinichi Suzuki began to teach music by applying the basic principles of learning language. When learning a language, one listens, speaks, reads and writes, in that order. In the Suzuki approach, the student listens, plays, then reads and writes.
• What is different about The Suzuki Method? Learn more at: fineartsassociation.org/education/music .
Adapted Lessons
• Available to any student: Our music therapists are available to provide an introduction to independent music lessons, help determine preference for select instruments, teach general music concepts in an engaging way, and foster a love of music learning for even the littlest maestro! Please call for more information and to learn more about our early childhood programming. Contact Ann Marie Raddell, Director of Creative Arts Therapies at 440-951-7500 x124 or email araddell@fineartsassociation.org for adapted music lessons for children through adults.

• All students are encouraged to notify their instructor(s) of a class/lesson absence by calling the Customer Experience at (440) 951-7500.
• Your notification of your inability to attend a class is a courtesy to the instructor, but we regret we cannot excuse you from a payment of class or lesson for which you have contracted even if you cancel all lessons or classes. Tuition is not credited for missed classes.
Student Withdrawal Policy
• Final day to request a refund for 2025 Summer Camps is May 30, 2025. Full refunds for a class or lessons are given only when a student withdraws prior to the start date of the class. Once the class starts, FAA has contracted the faculty to teach for the entire semester based upon your commitment. You will be charged the full tuition amount even if you cancel before the end of a session. If you are on a payment plan, the remaining tuition is due upon cancellation.
• Only in extreme cases will refunds be considered once the session begins. These include circumstances where significant change in student or family circumstances render it impossible for the student to continue or pay. Significant changes do not include schedule difficulties, change of mind, lack of interest, etc.
• If a student/parent desires to request a refund in extreme circumstances, the CEO reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of any refund and determine the timing of any refunds given; not to exceed the end of that session. In this case, any refund would be prorated.
Assumption of Risk
• By enrolling, parents/students knowingly and freely assume all risks, both known and unknown for themselves even if arising from the negligence of the releases or others, and assume full responsibility for for participation; and willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation.
Release of Liability
• Parents/students agree to indemnify/reimburse The Fine Arts Association for damages or injuries arising from any claims, demand, or action or cause of action by the participant including damage to property, harm to other students, faculty, staff, etc.
Safety & Security
• Parents/guardians of preschool-age students (below kindergarten age) are requested to stay on-site during classes. Please be in proximity to the classroom space in order to assist your child with toileting needs and/or in need of additional support. All families should ensure that current emergency contact information and any critical medical information is on file and updated with Customer Experience for your child(ren).

A Message from our Chief Executive Officer Paul Holm
An experience in the arts is like no other. At once, creativity, perseverance, empathy, deliberation, growth, dedication, contemplation, discovery, and community coexist. The arts make us better humans: better able to explore, express, question, think critically, and appreciate the beauty within and around us. At The Fine Arts Association, we are privileged to partner with you to create and discover art and all of these other human attributes under one roof. The possibilities are endless. No matter your age, experience, or aptitude, there is space here for you to create and grow.
