Laird Thompson tells us: “I am moving to be near grandkids, the big family magnet, and am enjoying the Pacific NW. Otherwise, I continue to be pre-tired, doing geological consulting for the oil and gas industry on fracking and other economic issues. Bruce and Lainie Brown recently returned from a 35-day, 30th wedding anniversary cruise circumnavigating Australia and New Zealand, with Lombok, Indonesia thrown in for full perspective.”
David Lott proudly reports: “I just opened a real estate company on Martha’s Vineyard, Vineyard Open House Real Estate. Pictured above is a photo from our grand opening on September 25, 2013. We provide services to buyers, sellers, and renters. Our office is across from Murdick’s Fudge on Union Street in Vineyard Haven. Would be happy to see any EA grads!”

John Dautrich reported: “On November 9, 2013, several members of our class attended the 2013 Alumni Awards and Athletic Hall of Fame Dinner. The gym was used as the venue to accommodate the large number of attendees. Picture of me with George Shafer, Hon. “Part of the reason for the larger than normal attendance was due to the induction of the 1968-69 Boys’ Swim Team into the Athletic Hall of Fame. Fifteen of the original 20 members of the team were in attendance, many of whom brought their wives, significant others, children, and other family members. Ken LeFevre even brought his mom! The team was very well represented. “Team members honored from the Class of ’70 who were present were: Bill Berlinger, Eliot Dalton, John Dautrich, Ken LeFevre, Pete Munger,
John Oster, Dave Parker, and Ted Stehle. Other classmates who were unable to attend, but were included in the honoring of the team, were Chuck Nelsen and manager Craig Casey (posthumously). “The event was electrified when coach George Shafer, Hon. arrived, after we were advised that he might not be able to attend. Everyone had a wonderful time, and one of the many highlights of the evening was reminiscing with coaches Shafer and Jon Kulp, Hon. Storytelling was fast and furious; it took us all back 45 years. “Many thanks to Nancy Taylor, Hon., Regina Buggy, Hon., Bill Rapp ’56, and Bruce Konopka, Hon. for organizing such a terrific event.”
1971 Class Agent Needed Fred Dittmann writes: “Like many of our classmates, I celebrated my 60th birthday with family and friends a few months ago. I just completed an exciting run of performing in three Gilbert and Sullivan operas over the past five months: H.M.S.Pinafore, Yeomen of the Guard, and, most recently, The Gondoliers with the well-
