Thank you to the four candidates who ran in the 2016 Board of Directors election: Stacy Holmstedt, Laurie Moe, Sandra Murray, and Stephen Sparks. We appreciate your interest in and dedication to our community.

Volunteering as a Board of Director is often a thankless job, we can’t thank you enough! Our Board of Directors for 2016 – 2017 are: Frank Mizner, Susan Powers, Bob Radisich, Laurie Moe, Stacy Holmstedt, Ron Magaw, Sandra Murray, Ron Ricci, and George Tihanyi. These members volunteer numerous hours to the Association, donating their time and expertise, making the Ranch the best place to live!

And thank you to those residents who spent their Tuesday evening at the Annual Meeting…it was great to see so many residents attend! Everyone enjoyed dinner and visiting with neighbors, it was a fun celebration.

The Board of Directors has elected officers for 2016 – 2017. Our new Board President will be Frank Mizner. We appreciate Frank taking on this important position which sets the course for the Association. The President is the chief executive officer of the Association; they exercise general supervision and direction of the affairs of the Association as a whole. They work closely with the Executive Director, who manages the

Susan Powers will be the Associations Vice President. Thank you Susan for serving as President for the previous two years. Susan dedicated countless hours to the position, positively shaping the Association with her enthusiasm. The role as Vice President will require less of a time commitment allowing Susan to focus on other priorities. As Vice President she will act in place of the President when necessary.

Bob Radisich will be the Associations Treasurer. Bob has previously held this position and understands the intricacies involved in overseeing the financial affairs of the Association. The Treasurer reviews and signs checks, assists with budget preparation, and serves as one of the financial controls, reviewing statements and the financials as a whole. This officer is a voting member of the Budget and Finance Committee, reporting to the Board on the state of the Associations finances.

Laurie Moe will serve as the Associations Secretary. The Secretary is responsible for Board of Director meeting minutes and serving notice of meetings of the Board of Directors. Please welcome Laurie back to the Board of Directors; thank you Laurie for accepting the office of Secretary.

Congratulations Board Officers! Though each officer position has distinct responsibilities supporting the Board as a whole; it is the consensus of all nine members which shapes the decisions, policies, and overall path of the Association. We look forward to another outstanding year utilizing the assets each Board Member contributes to the greater good of the Association.

Ms. Powers served as Board President for the past two years and has done an outstanding job. Numerous major projects have been completed and our financial condition is very strong. Credit goes to Susan and the entire Board, along with our professional staff, for maintaining Dobson Ranch as a premier community in the East Valley.

Greetings to Dobson Ranch residents.

On Thursday, April 21, the Dobson Association Board of Directors met to elect new officers for the 2016-17 term.

I was honored to have the unanimous support of the Board to serve as President. Other newly-elected officers include Susan Powers as VicePresident, Bob Radisich as Treasurer, and Laurie Moe as Secretary.

As a long-time resident of Dobson Ranch (1987) I have a long history of community involvement, including serving as Executive Director (2003-05), member of the Retirees Club since 2004, having two different homes on the spring garden tour, serving on numerous committees, and leading our growing pickleball program. I was elected to my current term on the Board in 2014.

Dobson Ranch is a wonderful community, with a diverse population, great facilities, and a strong sense of volunteerism. I look forward to working with the Board and with all residents to continue Dobson Ranch as “The Best Place to Live.”

Message From the Outgoing Board President

Outgoing Board President

Thank you for all of your support over the last two years while I served as Board President! I am handing over the gavel (I will miss the gavel) to fellow Board Member Frank Mizner, entrusting the office to qualified, capable hands. I will continue to serve on the Board and as an officer; for the coming year I will be the Vice President filling in for Frank as needed and assisting wherever possible.

I hope you made it to the 43rd Annual Meeting of the Members. It was a fantastic evening! The festivities began at 5:30pm with great food from neighborhood restaurant Miele’s Italian Bistro; creating our own little piece of Italy here at Dobson Ranch. It was a fantastic time, if you didn’t make it this year mark it on your calendar for next year!

Following the festivities, the Annual Meeting of the Members began at 7 pm. There was a huge crowd, well, huge in comparison to our monthly Board of Directors meeting attendance. This year was logistically organized different than previous meetings. Each Board of Director lead a section of the meeting. The Associations accomplishments were touted in a short video highlighting the amenities of the Ranch as well as in a handout brochure notating where Association dollars were spent plus statistics of the Ranch.

The Treasurers report was given by Stacy Holmstedt discussing major improvements made throughout the previous year. Auditor Paul Hansen, of Butler Hansen spoke explaining that the Association received an “unqualified opinion” the best you can receive; the Association’s assets are fairly represented and income is complete.

My favorite part of the meeting is always the volunteer recognition, and this year was no exception.

The Associations volunteers are invaluable, each bringing a varied perspective and skill set. Please see the volunteers recognized on this page and thank them for their service when you see them out in the community.

The evening was a success!

Please join us next year. Mark it on your calendar, the evening of the second Tuesday in April.

It’s that time of year again… time to find ways to keep cool without busting the budget! Well, look no further… there are some great options right here at Dobson Ranch!

Would you like to take a refreshing dip in the pool? There are three locations in Dobson Ranch with pools! There is a pool at the Saratoga Recreation Center, 2345 S. Saratoga, two pools at the Los Altos Recreation Center, 2524 W. Campo Alegre, and the pool at La Casita, 2719 S. Reyes, has a great splash pad also. The amenities at Dobson Ranch are here for you to use, enjoy and stay coooool!

Some of the regular features in this publication are open for content submission: If you live by a “Good Neighbor” or know someone with a “Green Thumb”, submit their information. Have you “Tried and Liked” a great business or eatery near Dobson Ranch? Let me know!

Things to Know Board Meeting Want to know what is going on in the Association, meet the Board members, sign up for a committee, get to know your Ranch neighbors or voice an opinion? You can do all that at Dobson Association Board of Directors meetings. Meetings are held the third Thursday at 7 pm at La Casita in the Grande room.

Holiday Hours Administration and Recreation will be closed on Monday, May 30, 2016.

Board of Directors Adopt Amended Documents Amended versions of the Residential Architectural Guidelines and the Bylaws were adopted by the Dobson Association Board of Directors, on March 17, 2016. These documents may be viewed on the website, dobsonranch.com, or may be picked up at La Casita, 2719 S. Reyes, 85202. The Amended Residential Architectural Guidelines will be enforced beginning July 1, 2016.

2016 Assessments

Where Did El Niño Go?

In a continued effort to maintain an affordable assessment while preserving our maturing community, the Board of Directors has voted to not increase the 2016 Assessments. Therefore; the rates will remain at, $138.60 quarterly, $277.20 semi-annually, and $554.40 annually.

Assessments are due on the first day of each quarter; January, April, July, and October. A late fee of $30 will be charged quarterly if your payment is not received by the 20th day of the first month of each quarter. Delinquent interest will accrue on any unpaid balance.

As a reminder, there are several options for paying your assessments: 1. Automatic monthly payments can be made through ACH (auto debit to your checking account). Please complete the form that can be found in the “Documents & Forms” tab on our website (www.dobsonranch.com) and return it to the administration office along with a voided check. ACH payments are run on the 5th of each month. The payment will continue to be drafted from your account until you give the Association notice to cancel the ACH. Please note that accounts on ACH will not receive future payment coupons. Notice of any assessment change will be published in the current year October or November issue of the Association’s official publication, the Ranchers’ Round Up. 2. Annual, Semi-Annual, or Quarterly payments can be made by check, cash, debit or credit card. Check payments may be mailed to or dropped off at the Association office. Coupons need to accompany mailed or dropped payments. Cash, debit or credit card payments are accepted in the Association office. Please note that debit or credit card payments cannot be accepted over the phone.

Monthly payment is not an option through the mail or drop off.

3. Automatic monthly payments can be made at the Dobson Association website (www.dobsonranch.com) using your bank card, credit card or e-check. Scroll down and click on the “Assessment Payment Portal”, set up a New User Account or login if you are a returning user , click on Menu, click on Auto Pay, and enter your information. Once you set up the auto pay, the payment will continue to be processed until you stop the payment or make changes. If you are setup on recurring payments through the Washington Federal/ Rentpayment site, please be sure that your payments are set to continue through 2016.

4. You may also send in recurring payments if using automatic bill pay. You will have to set up the payment through the bill pay program with your bank. Please reference your account number and property address to ensure proper credit to your account.

The weather map displayed on the news the other night was brilliant. A beautiful description of where El Niño went. As is typical, El Niño shunned the desert southwest and went on to play havoc in the rest of the country. Just one of the perks of living in the desert.

The nature we know is wild and strangely beautiful. Those who have come here from other parts of the country marvel as the lack of trees opens the sky revealing vast distances one can see from almost any rise in elevation. Coming over the pass just south of the Sacaton Rest Area on I-10, one can look down on the Valley of the Sun and notice a line of headlights outlining the interstate for 15 miles ahead. A passenger might also notice just how wide and how far the Valley of the Sun stretches.

The amazing part is that on most days the view is not obstructed, unless the wind is lifting the dust to create a haze. Okay, maybe a saguaro will get in the way now and then. This is where we live and under it is a vast pool of water hidden from view.

El Nino did not stay long in the desert this year and did not provide much to recharge that hidden pool. Since last summer (July 1st to be exact) the rainfall in the Valley of the Sun has been pretty much average; just under 7 inches so far. Other parts of the country have received the tantrums of a hot tropical ocean, but not us. It is mesmerizing to watch when the weather maps are animated and depict air laden with moisture as it streams across Mexico and into the southern tier of the country. For us though, it is business as usual.

The Salt River Project reports that the storage behind its’ dams is 58% of capacity, just what it was last year at that time. So our efforts to conserve water must work to enable us to use what is received. One way is to create a fall line under the roof eaves to capture the storm water run-off during a storm. This will hold the water long enough for it to be absorbed by the soil and wet the soil surrounding the desert landscape.

Remember, water makes living in the desert possible - make the best of it.

The Water Conservation Fair The Water Conservation Fair was a hit with over 200 Dobson Ranch residents attending. Thanks to all the vendors that offered great information and tips on how to conserve in many areas. It was held in conjunction with the Pancake Breakfast hosted by the Dobson Ranch Retirees Club.

The Dobson Ranch lakes were recently stocked with “working� fish. The fish were distributed among the lakes and will help keep the lakes clean.

Green Thumb Awards While other places are still celebrating spring, Arizona is embracing summer already! Here are two completely different landscapes… one is desert, with gravel and xeriscape, but it is stunning with the blooming Red Yucca. The other is lush and green with it’s beautiful lawn and manicured bushes. The temperatures may be rising, both of these homes shine right through the heat!

I want to thank the Dobson Ranch Community for supporting the Tween Egg Hunt and the Easter Eggstravaganza activities in March. All of the events were a success because of YOU! Summer is here and the weather is getting warm. Come out and enjoy your community pool and splash pad!

Our new summer hours run from May 28th – September 6th. We are open Monday-Saturday 8am-9pm and Sunday 9am-8pm Closed Holidays. We have more exciting events and programs coming up. If you have children or grandchildren ages 6-12 and are looking for some fun summer activities…look no further. Summer Kids Camp at La Casita is starting May 31st and will run Monday- Friday 7:30am-5:30pm. For all you outdoor movie lovers, come out and enjoy our Flick and Float program at Los Altos on June 3rd at Sunset about 7:30pm. Bring your swim suits and a tube to enjoy watching the movie “Inside Out” in the pool.

Last but not least there is our community Ice Cream Social at La Casita July 15th. Bring your whole family out for a great time. I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming summer events and will hopefully see some new faces as well.

Parent & Tot: Designed for 6 to 36 months

old. With parent participation the child will learn the comfort of water, while having fun. Class features include: water adjustment, safety skills, blowing bubbles, and holding technique. One child per adult.

Tadpole: Designed for 3 to 5 years old. Child

must be potty trained and can be separated from the parent. Children learn independently entering and exiting the pool, self-submerging, opening of eyes to retrieve objects, ability to float, kick and glide.

Frog: Designed for 4 to 8 years old. Children learn to enter water by jumping from the side of the pool, independently floating on front and back, changing direction while on front and back, and combining legs with arms action.

Starfish: Designed for children who have completed all above levels at Dobson Ranch. This class emphasis is on improving the swimmers ability to front-back to back-front rollover method. Introducing freestyle, backstroke and endurance to swim one width of the pool.

All Classes are 30 minutes each - 8 days in each session. Classes have a minimum of 3 children with a maximum of 4.

Instructor will assess the child’s level on first day.

Aqua Zumba is classic aqua aerobics with Latin flavor added to regular Zumba routines. The typical land-based Zumba dance steps, such as cha-cha, merengue, salsa, reggaeton, and mambo, are exaggerated and slower in water, so the water tempo is half the land tempo, creating a low-impact work out for all fitness levels. There is less impact on your joints during an Aqua Zumba class so you can really let loose. Water creates natural resistance, which means every step is more challenging and helps tone your muscles.

REFUNDS – The Dobson Association reserves the right to establish fees and cost minimums for all programs and to cancel those programs not having sufficient enrollment. Notification by participant prior to start date of illness or injury preventing participation during session time frame. d. Dobson Ranch Pontoon Tour/Ride Information A one-time “complimentary” pontoon ride per property is available to residents. Tour fee is $35 per hour with a two hour maximum. Reservations are available through the Recreation Department and are subject to weather and availability. Other rules and restrictions will apply.

Table and Chair Rentals Make your next at home event great with the convenience of renting tables and chairs right in your community.

The Dobson Association not only rents out facilities for private rentals but renting of chairs and tables not held on a ranch facility are also available. We can accommodate a rental up to 140 metal framed folding chairs and 15 rectangle 6 foot by 3 foot tables. The resident must schedule to pick up and drop off the chairs and tables at La Casita Recreation Center. A refundable security deposit of $50 minimum is due in cash or credit card payment to hold your reservation. The rental cost per chair is $0.50 and $5 per table. Reservations can be made through the Recreation Department at 480-831-7464 and include a 14 day cancellation policy.

Adult tennis Dobson Ranch offers a full-range of programs and playing opportunities for ages 16 plus and ability levels. These classes introduce you to the elements of tennis with a quality instructor to ensure a positive, successful and fun experience.

Adult Learn to Play These 5 week classes, will introduce the social aspect of the game when groups of players come together to learn at the same time. To teach the skills of tennis to a class, tennis group drills have been formulated. These drills are meant to be fun and entertaining while also developing the skills of each participating player drills!

Beginner Juniors This class is designed for students to learn how to play tennis. Players are introduced to the fundamentals of tennis through drills and get rid of the anxiousness of creating your tennis lesson plans. The requirements to progress to Aces level is for the students to demonstrate ability to consistently serve into the correct service box, learn to keep score, properly rotate racket, and sustain a rally. Classes meet twice a week for one hour for 4 weeks. Appropriate racket sizing will be discussed during the first lesson for consistent improvement! If you do not have a racquet, the tennis pro will fit your child at the first class for the proper racquet size.

I’d like to take a moment to extend a big thank you to all of the Dobson Ranch family for welcoming me with open arms and big smiles. It’s truly a blessing to have been taught such a wonderful sport at an early age and to achieve and play tennis for a lifetime.

Today’s youth are taught to hit as hard as they can without the thought of recovery (preparation for second shot) and creativity (shot selection) on how to move the ball around on the court with precision and grace. Most young players burn out due to tennis overload or injury, brought on by the desire to learn extremely difficult shots too early.

Basic motor skills and proper training methods have to be taught early in life before learning extreme hitting methods. The need to play games are essential to the growth of young minds in learning to navigate body movements. Stretching exercises must be taught using recommended USTA set guide lines in order to prevent future injury and fatigue. Every age group in our program has to complete stretching drills, along with hand and eye coordination drills (Games) before any type of serious ball striking happens in order to prepare the mind and muscles for the activity ahead. Since taking over the program students have gained a new appreciation for the game of tennis and the social aspect it brings.

It’s become a great source of release for the kids after attending class all day to come and have fun while enjoying creative games and challenges designed for improvement and focus.

Dobson Dolphins Another summer is just around the corner.

This is a great way to introduce your children to swim team and be a part of a 36 year long DR tradition. Minimum requirements include: being able to swim 25 yds, with no assistance, using the front crawl. Boat and Fishing Information The weather is heating up and it’s a perfect time for ple outdoor activities, like fishing and boating at one of the exam beautiful lakes at Dobson Ranch. Fishing licenses are required (catch and release only) and boat permits are required for all watercraft (size restrictions apply). 2016 licenses and permits went on sale le December 1, so stop by La Casita at 2719 South am p x e Reyes to purchase them. Prices are the same as 2015. Boat Licenses are $35 per motorized boat (electric motors only) and $15 for non-motorized boats and a maximum of 3 permits. Fishing Licenses are $13 for an individual and $30 for a family (up to four). Children 7 years and up require a license.

There was a great crowd at the recent 21 and over Dobson Ranch BYOB event. Admission to the event included one bottle of red wine or chilled white wine or a 6 pack or growler of beer. Residents and their guests came out to enjoy the live music by The Vintage, socialize, play corn hole, dance a little and participate in the blind taste test of the various spirits, which were covered in brown lunch bags and numbered.

After sampling the drinks, tasters jotted down the number of their favorite bottle, and at the end of the night, prizes were handed out. And the winners are:

Hi folks. Lots of stuff for April.

Looking back on this month the Dobson Ranch Retirees was fairly busy, and I’m happy to say that the pancake breakfast was very successful. Thank you to all who pitched in even a well known member of the HOA board has a few ideas about next year to help make it even better, but I won’t mention her name.

We have our last three bike rides and just 1 hike left before the birds take off for the winter.

Today’s hike (4-20) in Prescott was nice, as a Bald eagle sitting in a dead tree in the middle of the lake afforded a Kodak moment that only a few get to experience. The views were outstanding and a nice lunch after was very good and needed. Eleven of us braved the cold weather (75 degrees) and had a great time.

Our trip to Laughlin came off without a hitch, even if a few people had to back out at the last minute, due to many issues, but we had a few fill in the spots. The Hoover dam and boat ride were the highlights Our board members now have the challenge of upgrading the By Laws.

After a committee is chosen to determine how we go forward the DRR body will have the chance to vote as you choose to accept or reject the issues at hand come Jan. Walking the Dobson lakes this time of year you get to see all the new babies, fish, ducks, and for the first time we have a baby goose on the water.

This is the cycle of life we all have come to know. It is what keeps this ole ball of mud turning. So get out there and enjoy yourselves!

RETIREES SCHEDULE

GENERAL MEETING In June (and July also) the Retirees Club meets in the evening rather than in the morning. For both months our meeting is more of a social hour than an actual meeting.

Monday, June 6th at 6:30PM the Retirees will meet at La Casita for a social hour.

It is a potluck affair with everyone asked to bring an appetizer to share. All prospective new members and guests are welcome.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING The Club’s Board of Directors will meet on Monday, May 16th at 9AM at La Casita. For all officers, committee chairs and activity leaders. Board meetings are suspended for June and July.

DINNER NIGHT OUT The May dinner night will be on Tuesday, May 17th 5:30PM, at Pier De Orleans located at 61 E. University in Mesa. Reservations needed and can be made by calling Fran at 602-809-7792.

Thank You During the April general meeting of the Retiree’s, Peggy and I were honored for our service to the club.

This was an unexpected and unnecessary honor but very much appreciated. We are charter members of the retiree’s club, however we do what we do because we enjoy contributing our services and doing what we do.

Paul and Peggy Karban Through the club we have met new people and made many new friends. Our club has numerous activities in which we participate and enjoy. Anyone who can say retiree’s just sit around must not belong to our club!

April Showers bring May flowers. We were blessed to finally have had rain.

Bunco was at Patty’s. What a wild time...there was a record of 37 Buncos! It was a blend of old and new friends plus our regular and subs members. It was a great gathering...and lots of laughter. Bunco will be at Lynda’s on the 19th. Laurie will be emailing you.

Our guest speaker for April had to cancel due to “corporate” visiting.

We will reschedule for the fall meeting.

Thanks to Patricia, Lynda and Patty for their creative tables at the DR Garden Club Tea. It was a wonderful time. A special thanks to Donna, Linda, Carole, Patricia, Joanna & Nancy for all the time and effort in to coordinating all the many details, food, photos and decorations.

Currently, we meet in the Parking lot of Bisbee Breakfast Club at 7 a.m.

Saturday and 7 p.m. Wednesday. The location is on the corner of Guadalupe and Dobson at 2909 S. Dobson Rd. On Saturdays, we enjoy coffee at Bisbee’s after finishing our routes. Wednesday evenings we relax with refreshments, or adult beverages, at Cornish Pasty. No matter your level, come out and join us.

Pancake Breakfast The Dobson Ranch Retirees sure know how to cook a great meal and this past pancake breakfast was no exception! Breakfast was enhanced by singing, tennis and pickleball demonstrations and the police department brought out a vehicle for display. It was a great morning! The pancake breakfast was held in conjunction with the Water Conservation Fair.

Garden Club Tea 2016

Fancy hats, party dresses, Grandmother’s teacups and wedding dishes were all present for the April 23 Garden Club Tea. This year’s annual event, which sold out, featured a harpist, a tea menu complete with scones and lemon curd and stunning tablescapes with lots of teapots.

Hosting this year’s tables were Linda Larson, Carole Minor, Diane Schaefer, Joanna Loftus, Lynda Bailey, Patricia Prosek, Nancy Roberts, Patty Smith and Donna Chapman. Assisting with raffle sales and sign-in were Marty Blood and Manelle Williamson.

Boas, beads and bubbles were included in a special tea section for the younger crowd.

Little girls in lovely dresses were seated at tables decorated in pink and purple.

Assisting at these tables were Chloe Chapman and Krislin Jarvis. Themes for the tablescapes included one “When I am an old woman I shall wear purple” featuring items from Lynda Bailey’s grandmother and another featured beautiful wedding china as displayed by Patricia Prosek.

Panama was the table theme selected by Patty Smith who lived there for three years while in high school.

Other tables displayed heirloom china, a teapot from France and elegant milk glass dishes. Another whimsical table theme featured paper dolls and a child’s tea set.

The Tea, which is hosted by the Ranch Garden Club, is an annual event. Of course, serving tea to 100 guests requires lots of hot water. Keeping the hot water flowing for the teapots were Tom Minor and Mike O’Dell.

Ferns, fresh flowers and garden pots were used to transform La Casita into a garden setting. A bistro set was arranged for a photo opportunity with photos taken courtesy of Walgreens at Guadalupe and Alma School.

Make “time for tea” on your 2017 calendar! It is always a relaxing morning.

Cooking Oil Recycling

In the Community

Disposing of large amounts of cooking oil creates a mess yearround; not just during the holidays when you fry your turkey. The City of Mesa Water Resources Department has joined forces with the Mesa Fire and Medical Department and Bakers Commodities, Inc. to offer cooking oil disposal and recycling.

Oil and grease rinsed down the plumbing system can congeal and block pipes, causing sewer back-ups into your home or overflow into the street. At no cost to the City of Mesa, Bakers Commodities, Inc. recycles used cooking oil and grease into products that can be used to feed livestock, power vehicles, and act as a base for everyday items.

Cooking oil recycling collection barrels are in place year-round at various City of Mesa fire stations. The locations include: • Fire Station 204 at 1426 S. Extension Rd. • Fire Station 205 at 730 S. Greenfield Rd. • Fire Station 212 at 2430 S. Ellsworth Rd. • Fire Station 214 at 5950 E. Virginia St. There is no cost to use the recycling barrels. Simply stop by any of the locations and pour your used cooking oil into the barrel marked specifically for cooking/fryer oil.

Heartworm Overview

Heartworm disease is transmitted to pets through mosquito bites. Mosquitoes continuously pick up heartworm larva from an infected pet and carry them to other pets. Animals, including local wildlife act as a reservoir to carry larvae. It only takes one bite from an infected mosquito to pass this serious and potentially fatal disease to your beloved furbaby.

How do we protect our furbabies from catching this disease?

Washington Elementary

In the Community

Washington had a busy April! Author of the New York Times Best Selling Series, “The Unwanteds” kicked off the tour of her last book in the series with our 4th, 5th and 6th Graders! We were privileged to be among the first to get advanced copies of her new book “Going Wild” and to learn about a brand new series coming out soon!

Twenty-eight 5th & 6th Graders participated in the Battle of the Books. Each team (of 2-3 students) is required to read 4 books for each of the 3 “Battles” and answer questions about the books they have read. At the end of the 3rd Battle, the overall points winning team is named the Washington Champions! This year’s winning team are 5th Graders Olivia R., Caleb G. and Addison C.! They will represent Washington at the District Semi Finals!

On April 22nd, author Betty Mermelstein and her illustrator read to our Kindergarten classes. What a wonderful treat for our students!

We would like to thank our families and community members that participated in our Yankee Candle Fundraiser. It was very successful! We continue to accept Box Tops! We will be submitting them until we are out for the summer. They will accumulate for the next school year. If you have Box Tops you’d like to donate, please drop them off in our front office!

The Annual Washington Talent Show was held on April 29th.

Congratulations to all students who made it into the show! A big thanks to Student Council for organizing and running the show!

Band and Orchestra Spring Concerts are coming up in May. Our students have worked very hard to show off their musical talents with family and friends.

The last day of school is on Thursday, May 26th.

Tried It and Liked It Beauty Clean Pool I would like to let Dobson Neighbors know of an excellent pool service that we have in our community. Beauty Clean Pool Service did an excellent job acid washing my pool. My pool was severely stained, and when they were finished, my pool was so white it looked like the inside of a bathtub. Their fee was reasonable, and the results were outstanding. I highly recommend that anyone needing pool service call them at 480-831-6747.
