Use Voice To Control Your TV And Set Top Box: Use Echo With Smart things And Harmony Hub

Ever thought of controlling your television with voice? Well you can do it easily with the help of Echo, SmartThings and Harmony hub. By following a series of simple steps, you can use the Alexa App to control your television and set top box. Yes! Echo Setup With both the Harmony and SmartThings hubs connected, you just need to link them with the Echo system. Once you have done this, you can use your normal Amazon Echo Tap or Amazon Echo Dot devices to operate your television. You can link your Alexa app to the system by going to the settings tab. In the settings tab, you will select the “connected home� option. Under this tab, you will find the option to connect to your SmartThings hub.

Once you enter the details of SmartThings, you will be asked about the hub you want to connect to and the devices you want Alexa to control. Select the devices you have added (your Harmony Hub) and that’s it! You can now control your television with your voice using Alexa.
