The Greening Campaign is coming to Micheldever Parish

Local residents will be coming together for a Public Meeting to set up ‘Greening Micheldever’, an initiative where the community will pull together to help reduce its impact on Climate Change.

The campaign began in Petersfield when Terena Plowright decided to do something in her own town to try and ‘make a difference’. The campaign was so successful that since then many other villages and towns across the England are now joining together to begin to address reducing their CO2 emissions and reducing the amount of water they waste.

‘The campaign is great fun’ said Terena ‘ it gives the community a way to work together to tackle Climate Change and makes it a positive experience instead of a nightmare’.

Local resident and Parish Councillor Peter O'Keefe explained ‘Climate change has worried many of our residents for a long time now and we thought it was time that we acted together to make some small changes that will make a big difference. This is why we are starting ‘Greening Micheldever’.

The meeting will be held in December at a venue and date to be confirmed. Everyone is invited to attend.
