In 2018, the Club expanded its short game areas and completely a renovation of the driving range. In 2022, the Club invested $5.5 million to renovate the West Course. Wycliffe takes a progressive approach to capital improvements and has plans for the following in the near-term:
This $10 million project has been approved by the membership and will be self-funded through capital reserves.

The Director of Agronomy is responsible for maintaining the golf courses, clubhouse grounds, property landscaping, equipment and assets in this gated, residential club community.
A high level of attention to detail is required to ensure the person in this position maintains the golf courses and Club grounds in immaculate condition. The Director of Agronomy is required to manage the department budget, capital expenditure initiatives and preventative maintenance of the grounds He/she is also required to be a leading force in driving environmental conservation initiatives for the property.
It is expected the person hired for this position will be a strong and financially astute leader who will drive success and sustainability, with superior products and services for members and employees.

▪ Embraces sustainable green efforts and implements an approach that seeks to reduce the quantity of chemical and petroleum products
▪ Maintains sound agronomy practices to meet required standards of excellence related to the maintenance and sustainability of landscaping, green areas, and golf courses
▪ Possesses strong financial acumen; responsible for preparing and managing department operating and capital budget, and the timely and accurate reporting all financial information
▪ Remains aware of turf technology, irrigation management, equipment, trends, and best practices.

✓ Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy, Turf Management, Horticulture, Plant Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
✓ Six (6) years of experience in Golf Course Maintenance (at least 3 years experience in a Supervisory/Leadership role) or related professional field; technical training in agronomy/horticulture/plant science/turf management.
Licenses/Special Requirements:
✓ Certified Golf Course Superintendent (CGCS).
✓ State of Florida Pesticide Application certification.
✓ Valid driver’s license.
