About the Club Wasatch Peaks Ranch resides just 40 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City on just under 13,000 acres. Adjacent to a National Forest, the WPR property boasts a continuous ridgeline of 11 miles with 24 peaks, 15 bowls and cirques. The ski area has a 3,700-foot vertical drop. The private community and club proposes 460 properties with exclusive ski access and a Tom Fazio Golf Course. It serves as a recreational, luxury haven for its members. Abou t the Position Wasatch Peaks Resort is seeking a warm, engaging, organized and motivated leader to assume the role of Membership Director. An individual who develops, maintains, and implements all the traditional components of a club membership program while simultaneously implementing important elements unique to WPR, and cultural elements driven by WPR’s Vision and Values. Since traditional marketing and sales tactics are not employed by WPR, the Membership Director must run a unique, efficient, and fair process that moves desirable prospects through the pipeline. Since this process is not visible to most WPR employees, interdepartmental communication, support, and interaction are fundamental to ensuring cohesion with all internal departments. Required is the management of current member growth and retention activities along with external constituency relationships.

Key Responsibilities ▪ Lead and manage the Membership Team: role and responsibilities definition and all tasks relative to the pipeline and other departmental support. ▪ Define and refine the prospect vetting process from initial lead stage through becoming a new member. ▪ Plan and implement strategies to meet membership goals. ▪ Handle and process interviews, sponsorships, endorsements, applications, reference and background checks, Membership Committee introduction and interviews, and postings. ▪ Conduct, manage and delegate ski, ride, golf and amenity tours and be present for prospective interactions at events. ▪ Prospect management through the onboarding process, reinforcing the resort’s culture. ▪ Coordinate with the Communications Manager and Director of Events & Activities for maintaining the club’s master calendar. ▪ Support other managers and directors as needed and requested. ▪ Advocate for and ensure members’ interests are consistently addressed. ▪ Ensure the preservation and maintenance of club history information. ▪ Work with the Public Relations and Communication Manager to coordinates all club public relations efforts, members’ newsletters, news and media events, use of social media, and club promotional materials. ▪ Continue to conduct and report annual club membership survey (April) as defined and directed by senior management. ▪ Effectively respond to member comments in accordance with club standards, policies, and rules; use ideas, feedback and suggestions to continuously improve the services provided to members. ▪ Develop and adhere to a departmental budget. ▪ Oversee the administration of all membership documents, agreements, rules and regulations to ensure consistency in interpretation and application.

Qualifications ✓

A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a 5-star club, resort or similar hospitality setting.

Skiing ability, preferably at the expert level. Knowledge of the game of golf a plus.

A Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or business management communications, public relations or a related major

Salary & Benefits Salary is open and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Resort offers an excellent bonus and benefit package. The position is available immediately.
