With more than 20 years of experience, Christine Bevacqua expertly treats individuals of all ages – from infants to seniors – who have orthopedic injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation needs, as well as those with post-concussive syndrome, neurological deficits, vestibular disorders, TMJ dysfunction and amputation. She graduated from Quinnipiac College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy, and joined Kessler Rehabilitation Center in 2003. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Christine teaches a Physical Therapy Aide course at Brookdale Community College, and is also a clinical instructor credentialed through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) helping to train several physical therapy students each year.

Charles Hendricks, who holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology and a master’s degree in physical therapy, has been working in the healthcare field for 29 years. He focuses on the treatment of individuals with sports and orthopedic injuries, including, but not limited to conditions related to the foot/ankle, knee, hip, shoulder and spine. He is involved in Kessler’s ACL and concussion special interest groups, which work to advance patient care and awareness. Raised in Colts Neck, Charles has lived in Monmouth Beach for nearly 20 years with his wife and two daughters. He coaches local sports teams and works to educate students, parents and coaches on injury prevention.
John Blumberger graduated in 1995 from Bucknell University and spent the next eleven years working in the financial services industry. He obtained an MBA from Fordham University in 2005, but soon realized that it was his clients’ health, not wealth, that truly mattered to him. Switching careers, he pursued his doctorate in Physical Therapy from Hunter College, and joined Kessler Rehabilitation Center in 2009, specializing in the care and treatment of individuals with orthopedic conditions. He is very involved in Kessler’s clinical education and mentorship programs helping to expand the knowledge base of the therapy team. An avid tennis player, John lives at the shore with his wife and their three children.

Center Manger - Middletown 1702 Route 35 South – 732-615-9622 “I love what I do,” says Ryan Gutierrez. Center Manager at Kessler Middletown for two years, Ryan has been a physical therapist for more than twelve years. Gutierrez has worked with hundreds of individuals of all ages, in particular those who have orthopedic conditions, sports-related injuries and general conditioning needs. He believes he can make a difference in his patients’ lives, not only by delivering the highest level of quality care, but by providing a therapy experience that is as beneficial as it is fun and engaging. A resident of Middletown, Gutierrez is very involved in community outreach programs designed to raise awareness about wellness issues and educate others about healthy lifestyle choices.
Debbie Arrington began her career at Middlesex General University Hospital (now part of RWJ). She gained significant experience working with cardiac, geriatric and other rehabilitation patients, before finding a passion for treating orthopedic and sports-related injuries in the outpatient setting. Next year will mark Arrington’s 30th anniversary as a physical therapist, and 18 years as center manager of the Kessler Matawan clinic. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, a credentialed clinical instructor, and involved in wide range of community events, including the local food bank and the American Heart Association and Cancer Society.
Irina Fookson, PT, DPT
Center Manager – South Amboy 540 Bordentown Avenue, Suite 4700 732-525-0123 Graduating from Boston University with a master’s degree in Physical Therapy, Irina Fookson obtained her doctorate in PT from MGH Institute of Health Professions. With strong ties to her community, Irina established a private practice in South Amboy before joining Kessler Rehabilitation Center in 2013. Bringing more than fourteen years of experience, providing care to individuals of all ages with orthopedic or sports injuries, to neurologic or post cancer care, Irina is known for making a personal connection with her patients while working to reach their rehabilitation goals. She is an APTA member and credentialed clinical instructor. Irina is a resident of Monmouth County with her husband and three children.
Michele Gecek
Office Administrator Kessler Rehabilitation Center-Middletown Known for her welcoming demeanor and ability to share with patients that better days are ahead, Michele is an integral part of the Kessler team. Working with patients from the scheduling process to assisting with insurance coverage questions, as well as interacting with referral sources, Michele is a caring professional with 13 years of experience in administration. When asked what she finds most satisfying about her job, she responds, “patients telling us how wonderful they feel after completing their therapy, and the thanks we receive for a terrific experience.” Michele is a proud grandmother of two; a three year old boy Jaden and a six month old granddaughter Scarlet.
