Good start to the year for explorers in Cobar area

Mining and exploration companies, Manuka Resources and Helix Resources Limited, have both reported encouraging results from their recent drilling activities in the Cobar area.

Manuka owns the Wonawinta Silver Project south of Cobar and the Mt Boppy Gold Project at Canbelego and Helix has reported on their Canbelego Joint Venture Project.

Manuka’s executive chairman, Dennis Karp reports “the results of the strategic exploration review point to resource upside on our Cobar tenements, particularly in terms of near-mine silver and gold, but also high grade copper opportunities along with zinc and lead”.

Helix’s managing director Mike Rosenstreich reports their reverse circulation drilling has intersected “significant” shallow copper mineralisation.
