This year has been a hot and cold season for last year’s Open Touch champions, DC & C Barracudas, and last week it was a somewhat icy result as they were soundly beaten 11-5 by DJW Dingoes.

Maddie Bruce crossed twice to add another four points to the Dingoes’ total (as female tries are worth double points) and Jarrod Blake, Damon Bruce and Zane Taylor also ran in a try each.

In response, Ash Davies scored a double for the Barracudas and Jayden Harvey, Ryan Urquhart and Tim Woods also slipped through for a try each.

The referees’ Best & Fairest points went to Ford, Davies and Blake.
