VISITOR INFORMATION CENTRE ASSISTANT

The Visitor Information Centre Assistant is responsible for providing the highest quality customer service to visitors at the Great Cobar Museum, including reception duties, administrative support, marketing and general information about local attractions and business to contribute to a vibrant and sustainable tourism industry for our town.

Applicants will need to have previous experience in a customer service role, sound knowledge of Cobar and the surrounding region, strong computer literacy skills, a positive friendly attitude, the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and a willingness to work alone on weekends.

This position is classified at Band 1, Level 3 (commencing at $28.23/hr) under Council’s salary system in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award, with both permanent part time and casual opportunities available. The Great Cobar Museum currently operates from 8.30am – 5pm seven days a week.
